Fowler good, oil money bad
Hey guys! My partner and I are moving from Canberra to QLD later this month. We are tossing up between apartments in fortitude valley or somewhere on the gold coast. We are looking for some local opinions as we donβt know the area well. We will be working from home so location and surroundings are a big deal for us. We need to be close to a post office that we can easily drive to and park at.
Would appreciate any opinions on living in either areas, thanks!

It seems pretty easy to buy the right Brisbane apartment and expect a high rental yield that results in positive cash flow from day 1. Is this a bad idea considering the talk thatβs been happening for the past year about the apartment glut. Other concerning factors include current low annual growth rate.
In the case of a recession, would the rental vacancy rate increase or decrease. I would expect it to decrease as less people canβt buy and are forced into renting.
