The author convicted pedophile Martin Swithinbank..

A convicted sex offender was deported to England after serving time for sodomizing young boys on Long Island, the Nassau County district attorney said Wednesday.

Martin Swithinbank, 64, formerly of Baldwin Harbor, was deported to England after completing a 7 1/2-to-15-year sentence. He was released Dec. 19, 1992, after spending more than 10 years in prison, said District Attorney Denis Dillon.

High fantasy adult novel (as opposed to YA, not erotica), a mother searching for her kidnapped child.

I have been searching for this book for years. I cannot remember what it's called. I read it probably late 90s/early 00s, and it smelled old when I read it, so it wasn't a new release. The story was about a woman living with her child in a village. The village is attacked, and the child is taken. The mother is going on a quest to find the child. There are flying ships, and the mother is taken prisoner and made to be a rower. I think they manage to over throw the ship, or maybe it's attacked by pirates? They are freed. They make it to the palace and the mother is captured and put in a metal box. I think she has wings now? The palace is attacked and she is set free. She sees her child, but the kid is afraid. The mother has wings now, and is covered in blood and grime. There are illustrations throughout the book, but it's not a children's book. I'm not sure if she is reunited with her child in this story, I think it might be part of a series?

Details I'm not 100% came from this book: The mother and father were part of an adventuring group, and when she got pregnant the father opted to keep adventuring while she settled down to raise the kid. I think she was some kind of healer? The cover had a picture of an airship, I think. The border on the cover was a dark red/burgundy.

The way the story opened made it seem like it was part of a series - whether it was the second/third book, or a whole new series set amongst the same characters I'm not sure.

Fingers crossed one of you lovely people know what I'm talking about🀞🀞🀞

**Edit to add the exact posts I made on GoodReads 4 years ago while looking.

I read this book in the late 90s, I'd say it may have been YA, maybe NA. Protagonist is a woman searching for her child. There's a war going on, the woman is on a flying ship. I feel like she was a slave on the ship, chained to the oars. The ship is captured, and she ends up in a teeny tiny jail cell, not quite large enough for her to stand up in. She manages to escape (I think maybe other flying ships came? ) and she is badly injured, but her child is there. I don't remember if they're reunited. I feel like it's part of a series. The cover is a dark red border with a flying ship, I believe. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Just a little bump to see if anyone might have any info! I think she had a spell cast on her, and she may have had wings for a part of the story. I'm nearly positive at this point that it is one of a series, or perhaps a stand alone compa

Death to Child Erotica - An interesting publication

I found this 2009 publication written by law professor Mary Graw Leary , called: Death to Child Erotica: How Mislabeling the Evidence Can Risk Inaccuracy in the Courtroom

According to the abstract:

>"This paper traces the roots of the term (Child erotica) as originally intended in the artistic and social science realms. It then analyzes this corrupted use of the term in legal opinions, demonstrating the potential shortfalls of the current misuse. The paper then proposes that in criminal courts a descriptive norm replace this categorical norm when referencing material that is considered sexually exploitive of children, although not child abuse images per se."

It is extensive but I found it relevant on the case of MJ about the "non-illegal and innocent nature" things that were found. I also wanto to highlight the conclusion paragraph:

>"Language matters. Children matter. The term "child erotica" must be replaced. It is illegal to transact in child abuse images. The presence of child exploitation images or child exploitation paraphernalia can be legally relevant in a child pornography prosecution regarding procedural and substantive legal issues. Such material should not be glorified as art when it is not. It should be described in detail to allow fact-finders to make accurate assessments. When labels are required, it should appropriately be labeled as child exploitation paraphernalia or, child sexual exploitation images. This increased accuracy will lead to accurate analysis."

I don't know if the term has been modified or not in the US law.

Michael Jackson owned Child Erotica

During the Neverland raid a large amount of pornography was found around his home. It is a known paedophile behaviour to collect and treasure porn.

Some of the porn was hetorosexual, some of it gay porn and some sado masochistic stuff and some fairly extreme stuff (brown showers, extreme anal etc).

Law enforcement also found child erotica books in Michael Jackson's bedroom.

Here is the original court documents listing the porn and child erotica used as evidence.

http://www.sbscpublicaccess.org/docs/ctdocs/011805pltreqaseemd.pdf

Amongst these, one book was Boys Will be Boys and another was Boys: a photographic essay. Both these books contain photographs of young naked boys in outdoor situations, many in suggestive poses and showing their genitals.

These books were authored by NAMBLA trustee Martin Swithinbank who was jailed for 10 years for sodomising little boys and deported on his release. The co author was Ronald Drew who was fired from his teaching position for molesting a student. The photographer was Hans Ortil another NAMBLA member and paedophile who openly admitted to sleeping with boys.

These books are not actually illegal, but are frequently found in the homes of paedophiles during investigations. These are books written by paedos for paedos and Michael owned them.

I am turned on by Erotica that includes kids, I find child porn disgusting. Why am I like this?

Throw away account. I am 16 and I like to read erotica that has acts involving people ranging from age 10 and up (usually around age 13). I find sex with any kids immoral and gross, and of course is a turn off and not appealing. But for some reason fictional erotica still turns me on.

I feel like I'm an immoral person for this, even though I wouldn't ever have sex with a kid, or do anything like that. I really don't want to like what I like.

I dont want to feel like a horrible person anymore. Some advice or suggestions on what to do would be appreciated. Just know I would never scar or abuse a child like that.

I think my dad is reading child erotica

I was doing my taxes with my dad on his computer and I went to open a new tab in Chrome and you can view the most visited websites there (they pop up as the 6 boxes in the tab). On of them was called "Lolliwood" and had a little film icon beside it. I put my cursor over it and it shows as "Lolliwood Child Erotica". WTF.

I googled it and sure enough, it's a well known site that some people use because they fantasize about children.

I know that he has always been into porn. He had it hidden all over the house my whole life. I'm grown up now and he's in his 60s.

I think what bothers me the most is that my sister has a boyfriend with 2 young kids. A girl and a boy. I don't know if I should tell her what I saw?

I had such a good relationship with my father and now I am really really upset and disgusted with him. I dont know what to do. Do I try to protect the kids or do I just let it go? I risk putting their relationship in a bad spot as well.

How do I know he isn't going to do anything more serious? I know that technically reading fantasy is NOT illegal...but I dont know how far gone this is.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I hate when people try to silence us by saying that romance novels are "just as bad"

I was reading a really insightful discussion about why the harms of porn aren't widely studied. We know that it's harmful and addictive, as studies had indicated as far back as the 90s, but it got to the point that it's considered unethical to expose those being studied to a lot of porn. It's also impossible to find control groups anymore, because almost all men and teen boys regularly watch porn.

And then of course a bunch of porn addicts came in to call everyone hypocritical puritans, that it's no big deal that porn has been documented to make men less likely to want families over the ability to have casual sex, said porn is necessary to provide "variety" to people in committed relationships (so... to allow people to cheat without consequence, essentially), and finished up with the "straight women objectify men in romance novels and write graphic sex scenes but you aren't complaining about that, are you? Checkmate, sexist."

And it's just very indicative of how they view the real women in porn as equivalent to a fictional fantasy. The men in erotica are not real people. They cannot be harmed by performing fictional sex acts. Real women are harmed in porn ALL THE TIME, often without being informed of what they're going to be made to do beforehand.

And men in porn can be harmed too. A lot of "gay for pay" actors end up having the same psychological scars, the addictions, the prolapses, the trauma. I'm sure femdom porn hurts them, too, though I don't know if that's been studied.

They are real people who actually have to do the stuff you see on screen. And the vast majority of the people being harmed are women and underage girls. You never know if what you see on screen is actually consensual, even if the actress says so, because if they say were forced to do things they didn't want, they don't get paid. A lot of the time it's just filmed rape, CSA victims, and revenge porn.

I just wish they saw the women they jerk off to as actual people. Or worse, sometimes I worry that a lot of them get off to the idea that they might be watching real rape, real child rape, real revenge porn, real abuse, real death.

Fandom culture in the 90s~early 2000s, teenage angst, and radical feminism

tl;dr: The earliest idol fandom culture in Korea in the 90s and early 2000s was intense and full of angst. I think that it’s because young women’s sexuality was really severely repressed. The recent radical feminism in Korea, in its origin, had a link to the remainders of the culture. I wonder if anyone relates

** Potential trigger warning.

The other day I wrote a post about memories as a female queer (https://www.reddit.com/r/korea/comments/rwa4ur/memories_of_lgbt_culture_and_sexual_repression_in/), then I reminisced a bit about the fandom culture in the 90s~early 2000s because of some discussions in the comment.

Common arguments were that the homoerotic fan fiction is a common feature in extreme fandoms in Western cultures as well, and it has nothing to do with Korea, or queer culture. But I still think that there was something uniquely Korean about the phenomenon, so I’d like to put out a bit of thoughts.

First, the fandom/fan fiction culture really influenced female teenagers across the nation, and the culture was shared in classrooms and school. When I was like an elementary school student, literally all girls in my class were divided into either H.O.T. (using all three punctuation marks was very important) camp or Sechs Kies camp. I was really young, but I remember. The H.O.T. fandom was particularly strong and fanatical. Probably H.O.T. was comparable to Beatles in the 60s?

The lyrics of H.O.T. songs were full of teenage angst. Their debut song "Age of Violence" starts with:

>Argh! Who do you think you are? Why are you hitting me, why, who do you think you are? You're chocking the weak, I want to be free from you now" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ggXa28ADLE)

This song was about violence and bullying in school, but in retrospect, can't it be also interpreted as about domestic violence? It was 20 years before the second wave feminism that swept across Korea, and domestic violence, child molesting, sex trafficking, even incestual harassment were all too common but invisible.

In many cases H.O.T. concerts looked like a mega-church evangelical revival event, with full of girls fanatically crying and shouting. This creeped out a bit the adults and rest of the society. When I think about the level of misunderstanding and repression against young female libido back then, it is

Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"

I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
