A list of puns related to "Characters in the Mario franchise"
If it's a game in the Mario franchise, every character appearing in it is in the fight. Can the surprisingly large list of heavy hitters stand a chance against the Mad Titan Waluigi?
BONUS ROUND: Luigi becomes Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Luigi. Does he stand a chance against an omnipotent evil opposite?
Or they need to approve on each one can be more interesting to a new audience? I would even like characters from various Nintendo cartoons coming back in they're own franchise
This week Nintendo released official figures for Switch and its games. As expected, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold nearly 23 million units. Well above any other Nintendo game.
Sure, the game is a port of the Wii U version, with the same gameplay and all DLC already included. So, technically MK8 is a game from 2014 and we will already reach 6 years without a new one in the franchise.
Counting only consoles and not handhelds (although the Switch is hybrid), its comon a long gap between games: 1992/SNES, 1996/N64, 2003/GameCube, 2008/Wii, 2014/WiiU.
Having said that, I open a discussion here: what is the next step in the franchise? Today we have the Swicth, a platform that sells a lot and has several games breaking sales records, with players hungry for content and new games.
So, what do you imagine Nintendo doing with Mario Kart on the Switch?
Any more to add?
And why is it Vivi?
Hey Guardians,
So on the back of this character progression into Destiny 2 subject, I seemed to remember Bungie stating that our characters would carry forward through the Destiny universe, so I was surprised to read that isn't the(rumoured) plan anymore.
A quick Google^TM search found me this article with Our Lord and Saviour, /u/Deej_BNG stating that their aim was to enable us to take our Guardians that we have created forward into the future of Destiny. The video clip itself is in the IGN link embedded in the text, here.
I am of the opinion that I would like to take my Male EXO warlock(and my titan and hunter, I guess. #warlockmasterrace) throughout the whole Destiny franchise. I DO NOT however want to start the game with all of my subclasses leveled or the weapons I have attained available to me. I also feel our progression in Destiny needs to be heralded back somehow, by keeping the grimoire or the emblems/shaders etc, things we have worked hard to get and spent money to attain in some cases.
The Mass Effect franchise did this quite well, making you start from scratch to earn the new abilities in the game but whilst also keeping the identity of the character. I really enjoyed taking my ginger paragon FemShep throughout the 3 games.
Maybe in-between D1 and D2 there has been a cataclysm of some kind and our guardians are left with nothing on some far away planet(maybe another galaxy?), and we have to start the levelling grind over again. I'm sure there are countless storylines which would enable us to keep our characters but also start afresh at the same time :)
Just my Β£0.02.
What do you guys think? It makes you wonder what has changed in order for Bungie to change the plan like this.

edit: wooooah this blew up. and i am glad it has started some good discussion.
this wasn't a complaining post, whatever happens in Destiny 2 I will be there to play it on launch day like i was with its predecessor. I'm just putting my own personal view across.
I know all of this is just conjecture but i hadn't seen anyone mention/post this article so I thought I would bring it your attention.
#warlockmasterrace
I know this was stated in 2014, but like many others one of many reasons I play this game is because i was brought in by the '10 year plan' with the same
Im really curious, which character do you think is the worst designed character in the entire franchise?
Do you think its Melee Bowser? Maybe Brawl Ganon? Smash 4 Little Mac(its just a prank bro pls)?
FNaF World doesn't count.
I fell like it would be Phantom Puppet, only being in FNaF 3 (Maybe Help Wanted) and having 4 IMAGES. 3 of which were FRAMES OF ONE ANIMATION
No, it's not Scraptrap, even though I absolutely hate his metal eyes and boney ears... and basically the entire skull with boney lips but the idea of William changing the suit is kinda... okay. Electrobab is definitely the worst. He's not even a recolor or anything, the only difference are golden eyes and he's pretty much useless. He could (and should) have been replaced by Baby...or Ennard... or spring suit from night 4. Also, he's not even canon.
See title.
For myself, I generally listen extended versions of themes to games I actually played or watched playthroughs for. I particularly like the Beanbean Fields, Super Star Stache, Cavi Cape, and Nimbus Land themes. I did listen to Jump Up, Super Star theme from Super Mario Odyssey too.
So what music tracks do you like from the extensive Mario Franchise? Happy Mar10 day, everyone.
"I know. Itβs all wrong. By rights we shouldnβt even be here. But we are. Itβs like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didnβt want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, itβs only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with youβ¦ that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didnβt. They kept going because they were holding on to something. Thereβs some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And itβs worth fighting for"
What purpose does she serve aside from being once the girlfriend of Carl?
I an unsure if others have voiced this before me (though chances are they have as I know Byf made mention of it in one of his videos) but with all the marketing, promotional material, and products that BUNGIE have put out for the game...I am sad there are no novels, graphic novels, and/or serialized comics that have been published for the franchise.
I say this because, both Destiny and Destiny 2's lore (Yes Destiny has lore, and I'd argue it's on par and in some aspects better than the original) seem like a great avenue to pursue to flesh out stories and tales from Destiny's overall mythos and universe. Not only that, but it could draw new people into the franchise and give greater context to events that happen in the games.
I also know this idea isn't by any means revolutionary or rare, and that's precisely why I am putting this out there.
Here are some notable examples of franchises that have done this thing in the past and/or continuing to do so:
Star Wars has a huge number of the stuff even before most of it was turned into the Legends material
I also there are certainly other franchises out there that have done this as well, but for the sake of brevity I am only listing a few.
I have little-to-doubts doubts that a good number at BUNGIE would love to see the mythos they build be engaged with and understood. That's a huge part of why I stuck around with Destiny was because of the underpinning lore that gave a better understanding of what was going on in the game (especially if not all the story highlights can make it into the game.)
However, I also understand that expanding upon story events outside the main game and into novels, comics, etc. that folks would have to buy is not without it's cavaets or foibles. I understand folks would likely not want to do so as it would be extra money and may possibly worry about not getting the full story without having to seek out the comics first. These are, all things considered, legitimate concerns.
So how would one
... keep reading on reddit β‘To clarify I don't mean a character being a hybrid and switching between those specific modes. I mean the way that the weapons were handled in DmC. More specifically how Vergil was handled rather than Dante. One signature weapon that functions differently in different modes.
Classic Dante has his Styles that change up his playstyle. But DmC Vergil has his core moveset dependent on which mode he is in.
Where Nero's Breakers and Dante's Styles are additions to their core, DmC Vergil changes his whole moveset with his modes.
Since V and Lady have shown that the team can use unconventional ideas well, could a DmC style Mode Change make for a good playstyle in the Classic series? Taken out of the limitations of DmC itself, would this make for a good or bad playstyle in the hands of Itsuno's team? No red and blue enemies only vulnerable to a specific mode.
Like imagine if Balrog could switch modes without an animation, simply by holding a button. Two or more movesets in one weapon that can be swapped without a mode change animation. Give King Cerberus a mode for each element, swapped simply by holding a button during an attack. Just a few ideas off the top of my head, using 5's weapons as an example of things that could potentially use DmC's Mode Change mechanic to create a character with a single weapon focus that still stands out from Nero.
Not saying it should be shoved onto an existing character but I think it has potential to make a new character stand out mechanically.
