A list of puns related to "Car layout"
Does anyone remember when Indy car raced here in the early 90s? Iβd love to know what streets made up the track.
That must have been a lot of fun!
Very strange that armoured cars didn't come with no step back. There is literally no use for using wheeled and half-track suspension and machine gun armaments, besides historical variants like the panzer 1. Very strange indeed. Irritating that my puma armoured car has the exact same values as everyone else, or that my Sdkfz. 222 and 234 can't have anti-aircraft or automatic canons, with a more advanced puma variant with a medium canon or high velocity canon. Armoured cars are by all intents and purposes STILL tanks, albeit slightly lighter than the already aptly named "light tank". Their exclusion from the tank designer is nothing short of disappointing and confusing. It's a layer of complexity and flavour just lost to the whims of modders who can be bothered to implement it, only for it to break in a patch, update, or future DLC.
I am currently studying urban planning as an amateur and layperson and have been reading "Retrofitting suburbia", a book by Ellen Dunham-Jones.
Coming from Singapore, I am more familiar with compact, high-density public housing. I did spent some time living in the outer fringes of an inner suburb in Brisbane. In Brisbane, it took me 15 minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop, and another 30 minutes for the bus to talk me to the nearest supermarker/convenience store. But there was a lot of greenery.
I have been reading, in online articles, of improving the suburbs by locating amenities (mom-and-pop store, libraries, community centers) nearer to the suburbs and bring public transit closer to the car-dependent suburbs as well.
I spent a few hours using Google Maps and Google Street View looking at and studying the car-dependent suburbs of LA, Las Vegas and Houston. I was trying to see how feasible it was to operateΒ catenary-free street cars (like the Circular light railΒ line inΒ Kaohsiung City,Β Taiwan) through some of the large roads that cut through the massive suburbs.
Also, I looked at estimating the probably outcome of re-zoning pre-existing car-dependent suburbs, to see if it was possible to redevelop empty plots of land to build mixed-use buildings (commercial, retail, F&B, and public amenities) in the middle of the car-dependent single-housing sprawl.
Looking at Google Maps and Street View, I may have underestimated the difficulty. The single-housing houses typically face small roads that are wide but not enough to accommodate a light tram line. Not only that, the size and extent of the sprawl is really vast. Assuming I put out the tram line closer to the main roads cutting through the single-housing suburbs, it is still a few kilometers away, maybe even more.
Some suburbs main roads are too small to accommodate tram lines. I thought an alternative would be to run an entire light-rail/tram line encircling the entire suburb but that would still put the stations out of the reach of the houses at the geographical centers of the suburbs. In some of the suburbs in Las Vegas, the distance easily exceeds ten kilometers or even much further than that.
All that would just drive people to continue relying on private cars. An alternative would be to run light buses (like the kind found in Hong Kong) connecting the houses to the tram line but so many of the houses are lined up leading to a cul-de-sac, instead of leading up to a connecting road, making

For me miat miata na miata
Howdy, I am working on an kinetic artwork in the vein of Chris Burden's metropolis 2, however I want to have Cars in it that are able to stop at stoplights and simulate heavy city traffic I was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative to the Faller System or if there are makers who have created 3D printable files of cars that would work in a similar way?
Any help would be appreciated!

Actually did this a while ago, just haven't got to post it.
Did 10 laps in each car, the lap times are from the best sectors added together.
Did not make any setup changes, or use any buttons in the car.
Track condition is optimum, weather is 26Β°C and no wind.
also where's that game mode where you can race with pre max proed cars? the one with the nsx, m1, c3, that sorta low c and high d class
