Finally, after some time, I got around to designing my very own car. my choice of car was to base it around 60s GT cars (front engine rear wheel drive layout sports/ luxury cars) this car has a fully functional engine that connects to the rear differential (shown on last slide)

Idk if this is accepted on this sub, but there is a ton of technic underneath, namely rear suspension, front pendular axle, remote controlled drive and steering (with working fake engine and steering wheel of course) and a working lock for the tailgate.

Did they fix the physics engine when it comes to rear wheel drive cars in Forza 5?
As Im playing through this fantastic game, is it a placebo effect or did they fix the rear wheel drive handling in this game? I remember having to put all my cars to 4 wheel dive in order to make them stable and fast enough. Now it seems that rear wheel drive have an edge on the street while a disadvantage on dirt, off road etc. Is it just me or did they adjust some things?

CMV: The front engine rear wheel drive platform for high performance cars is outdated
Considering how powerful a lot of cars are, one of the major factors for how fast they go is where their engine is located compared to the drive wheels. A Dodge Hellcat Challenger needs incredibly sticky tires to do well in an eighth mile event because most of the weight is over the front wheels. The Ferrari 812 Superfast is hitting a wall too because of it's FR layout. You know what doesn't have traction issues? C8 Corvette, Porsche 911 and McLaren 720S, because their engines are either in the middle of the car or over the rear wheels.
It also helps a lot with braking too, making sure that brakes at all 4 corners carry more of the workload. Sure, you have less trunk space and it is a bit harder to build, but we aren't talking about hatchbacks here that need to be super practical...

Yet another update on Steve. He is now even more aggressive thanks to him now having twin turbos. Also as you can tell, there is much more work to be done because I still have to improvise the 4 wheel drive system because neither the front or rear axle is connected to the engine.

How can rear engined, rear wheel drive buses have manual transmissions?
Where the driver obviously sits in the front, such as a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo. Does the gear stick have a selector rod extending 50 feet behind to control the transmission at the rear? Is it hydraulically actuated? If it's hydraulically actuated, is the stick completely numb feeling compared to a car?
