A list of puns related to "Capstone course"
Is it just me or is this course a complete waste of time? I am a transfer student and they want the courses you used for your pathways, problem for transfer students is that I used all my previous college courses except 1 to satisfy them. Which means I need "Artifacts" from those courses. It seems really geared towards non-transfer students. I really dislike the way it is set up, like for absolute failure. I am behind in the ONE course. All my other classes are fine.
I heard that capstone can be a huge time sink for mech eng, and many people struggle to balance that with a full course load. How many courses do most people take with it?
Let me add more info. Iβm in a class thatβs also a capstone for honors students thereβs 18 of them and 115 of us. These honor students are also just last year students. Theyβre not graduate students or anything. The instructor will be teaching on mondays and on Wednesdays he will have them doing presentations thatβs part of their grade. Not only will this material be on our test he is also having them write questions for our exams. Our grade is 100% exams. Iβm pretty sure all of the honor students will just share their questions and have a nice time in the class. Where as Iβm spending 2k to be taught by my peers who might be awful public speakers. If I knew the class would be taught like this I would never have joined. Even my advisor is concerned as well as a lot of the regular students and honor students.
Also tutoring for ochem and working on some school org stuff. Do yβall think this is manageable? Has anyone tried a similar combo? I have no physics background whatsoever so Iβll be spending lots of time on that for sure. I NEED to finish off strong, so any motivational experiences would be appreciatedπ.

Regular courses often have projects too, so I wanted to find out how the capstone courses are different. Thanks.
Howdy everyone, I am looking for the easiest upper-level CS class and an easy capstone. Does anyone hear have any experience/reccomendations? :)
The title of this post speaks for itself. I'm bound to register for my last semester of courses in a few weeks and I'm trying to be organized for when that time comes. I'm guessing Capstone courses are a must, but I'm also curious on people's thoughts of them. So far, I've heard nothing but bad things about it; mostly how they're a waste of time. Nonetheless, very curious to hear others' thoughts.
As the title reads, if I get an internship, does that replace the capstone senior project and vice versa for IT majors?
I have 100 credits and tried to copy paste the CRN numbers in right when it opened at 2pm, to my surprise my first, second and third picks for my psychology capstone classes were already filled and had their waitlist filled, that's around 50 slots!
It just shocked me that so many people have over 100 credits and need their psychology capstones next semester. Good luck getting your classes everybody...
Hey Everyone. I'm going into 3rd year biomed next year and one of the compulsory papers are Biomed 399, which is a Capstone course. I have no idea what this is and there doesn't seem to much information about it online. Any information regarding this would be highly appreciated:))
My registration date is tmr but all the 4000lvl Communication capstone courses are closed already. Does anyone know if more sections will be added?
I recently switched to mechanical from civil and I'm in a situation where I am in between second and third year since most courses transferred except a couple from second year. So after this year, I will be in between third and 4th year, and I will only have about 10 courses left aside from a couple of tech electives. I can finish the majority of my courses next year and then have a couple left over. I was wondering can I get special permission to do my capstone next year instead of having to wait and then spending a whole school year just doing the capstone?
I am about to complete my technical communications degree online and we are required to do a Capstone course the semester before we graduate. Can anyone provide any insight into what this course entails? Thank you in advance.
has anyone taken any of the research capstones for psych? if you have, which one did you take & how did you like it?
trying to plan out the next few terms, but what course is classified as the capstone for accounting?
thanks.
Hi everyone, I was planning to take IT 492 this fall, and IT 493 in the Spring (along with other concentration classes in both semesters) but unfortunately I still have one missing prerequisite for IT 492. I asked my advisor and the IST department if I could take it as a corequisite but it was a hard no from both of them.
If I take IT 492 in the Spring 2022 semester instead, this means the only class I have left will be IT 493 in Fall 2022. Does Mason allow students with only a capstone left to walk in the Spring? Just curious if it was possible because I've been really upset about this...I don't want to graduate 7 months later because of one class :(
Will there be a list of projects to choose from and then those who have picked the same project topic has you will be grouped with you? Or do I have to find an incomplete team that I can join?
Any help is appreciated
Prefacing with I have emailed advisors but they take forever to respond so I'm also asking here.
I am looking for co-op for the fall term coming up. However I am confused on my options if I cannot find it.
I've found this photo
https://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/co-op-career/co-op-program#Undergraduate-Students
Which implies that you can do a fall study term, then fill your co-op year, then do winter and graduate.
However I've also read around that the year long capstone project course cannot be split so I have no idea how this works as it implies you do half the capstone in 4th year fall and finish it in 5th year winter? Can anyone verify if this is allowed?
Also, does anyone know if its possible to just finish my fall and winter study terms, (finish all my required courses including capstone), not graduate and instead spend a year doing co-op, then graduate after?
Hello, i have a question. Is that ok for enrol capstone part A in 3rd year semester 2 because I have already 5 courses that i must enrol in my final year semester 1. And for part B I will apply on final year semester 2.
I donβt know how to do.
I keep hearing about how hard it is and how no one is looking forward to it. But what is it and why is it so dreaded? I'm 4 classes away and the hardest class i have left is BUS-400, is that the capstone course? Rest of them are 200-300 level. Sorry i just don't really understand what that is. Doing BS in business administration.
My graduation plan was messed up by the decision to take 4220 Server Systems Security out of the summer 2021 courses. According to advisement, the only option is to take 4220 and 4810 Cyber Defense in the same semester, however, I noticed today that the capstone course is listed under the summer 2021 semester of course as an 8 week course. Would it be recommended to take the 4810 during the summer and before 4220 if advisement will allow it? I would really like to keep my original Fall 2021 graduation plan but I donβt think Iβll be able to manage both 4220 and 4810 in the same semester since Iβll be in the process of moving during that same time. Thank you for any information you all can give me in regards to this.
Hey everyone! Stupid Q, I know. I'm a Liberal Studies major and transferred over to CSULB last semester. I will be beginning some of my Capstone courses in the Fall or possibly summer but I dont really know what they are aside from they're the last classes you take in a section. Are they actual classes? Are they just projects? Essays? What are they LOL! Can anyone who has taken them explain what they consist of? Thanks!
I'm not saying this is gonna happen to me but I'm also not sure. I'm kinda worried and was just wondering if this happened to someone and how they fought it.
I guess my main worry is that I don't wanna face a situation where I might have to take courses part time for one year until I am able to take the capstone in Fall.
Hello y'all. There are multiple courses that I can choose from to fulfill my Capstone Course Requirements. Currently, I am stuck between MAT 115B - Number Theory and MAT 192 - Internship in Applied Mathematics. Does anyone have any advice for me considering these courses? Or, is there another Capstone Course that you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone , I was wondering what the 4th year mechanical engineering capstone courses are like. Do they have final exams ? Is the work load and course difficulty about the same as normal engineering courses ?
