A list of puns related to "Buick Encore"
I'm driving a 2015 Buick Encore and I'm looking to replace the rear and front bumpers with newer Encore parts. I know the old and new gen Encores share the same architecture but I'm not sure whether the old Encore mounting points are the same as the new ones.I've tried matching up low-res schematics online but to no avail. I know by at least replacing the front bumper I'm going to have to replace the front quarter panels and hood, but I'm willing to make the investment if it's doable.
I would like to mention I'm not refering to the Encore GX, only the base Encores.
My car has been in the shop 3 times in the past month each time for 3 days at a time.
This time the check engine light went on and itβs been in the shop for over a week now with a part that the dealership says is out of stock all across America.
Then they told us to call Gm customer service so we set up a claim and they have basically done nothing and told us the part is being expedited but hasnβt given us any other information.
I am not sure what to do going forward.
I currently own a small Audi q3 from 2013. Iβm looking for security, long term reliability and comfort. I also want it to look for youngish people. I really like the Taos interior but i love the Buickβs safety.
How normal is it for these to fail at only 52k miles? All maintenance has been done regularly
The car is a 2015 encore being listed at $15,000 with 73,500 miles. What is a fair price for this car and is it reliable as a daily driver?
Right now my partner and I are in-between cars and are having some trouble with agreeing on what to get next. They've fallen in love with a 2015 Buick Encore at 102,000 miles.
They like this because they want a medium-sized hatchback style car that can go on the sand or snow for road trips. They're convinced this 2015 Buick Encore is the best option for us, and that'll last us 10 years. It's currently being offered at $14,500 sticker price.
The dealership is offering a loan with %3.74 interest, $2,000 down, and a $203 monthly payment for 72 months. This seems to make the total: $16,616.
Together we both make about 60k a year combined. My partner and I would be splitting the monthly payments evenly, and don't have much other expenses.
I've never bought a car before, know nothing about cars, and way out of my depth to know if this is a good deal or not. Between the urgency of getting a new car, the dealer convincing my partner this car won't be on the lot for long, and me not knowing enough to offer good alternatives: I'm under a lot of pressure.
From the different reddit posts I've made about this, it seems most people think this is a bad deal and is way overpriced, or atleast the car won't last nearly as long as my partner thinks it will. Are there any good alternatives with the features above you know of in similar price points?
Hi everyone,
So my drunk on my 2019 Buick Encore wonβt lock. Any tips? I hit the lock button but itβs unlocked. Is this bc I have my keys with me?
In June of 2021, while driving and putting on the AC in the hottest day we have had in Wisconsin, my reduced engine power popped up and check engine light went on and car when into limp mode. Code was P06a3 and a catalytic/02 code (cannot remember what it was). Took it to the shop and they stated replacing the catalytic converter would fix everything β so I did that and it cost $1500.
Two days after I got my car back, the reduced engine power came back on with the check engine light β back into limp mode. Not sure if the AC was on, but I do know there was a bump in the road β so I figured it was a sensor got loose. The next day I went to bring the car back to the shop, but the check engine light was off. When the shop ran the history P06a3 came and P2135 (throttle body issue β not sure if that was the accurate code, but I did see it had something to do with the throttle body). The problem was the shop didnβt feel comfortable doing anything because the check engine light wasnβt on and I already gave them 1500 for something that might not have been the issue. I drove it around for a few weeks and almost every other day the reduced engine power would come on and then go back off.
I decided to bring it to the dealership instead of the shop. I figured they would know what to do since they specialize in Buickβs. Codes that were ran were the P06a3 and P2135 β recommended the throttle body be replaced to fix the issues the car was having - $560.
The VERY NEXT DAY, the car did a reduced engine power/limp mode/check engine light thing again. This time my kids were in the car, and we had no where to turn off to β 90 degree day and AC was on. By the time the car was brought back to the dealership, the light was off.
Dealership did the testing again and only received code P06a3 β this is the code that I believe is causing the issue. The catalytic converter and throttle body seem like they werenβt even needing replacement in my mind. The dealership kept the car for over a week and did testing, stated the issue was an acceleration pedal sensor β another $398 to replace and fix.
I didnβt even leave the parking lot of the dealership and the car shut off with the same reduced engine power and codes. PLEASE offer suggestions as I am blown away and donβt know what to do. This is a 2014 Buick Encore and I bought it in June of 2018 β no issues until now. There is currently about 130k miles on the engine.
