I wish to buy a laptop (screen broken preferably to keep cost low), with a functional motherboard, for as low as possible. I don’t care if the external body is damaged as i can salvage the internal components and place it on some mdf sheet and then hook it up to monitor. An old PC is fine too but I guess it’ll add up in shipping charges which am afraid of. My major usage involves watching video lectures on youtube, so it must play 1080p which i guess anything from past 8-9 years should be able to handle. i live in tier-III place so going to a shop and getting a used one is not an option unfortunately.
I also happen to already have an old core2duo laptop but it cannot smoothly play videos among several other problems it posses due to age.

What really happened:
Diwali’s approaching so my mom asked me past evening to clean my room and as usual I started with PC first xd. After blow drying it i kept it back on table and went off to clean speakers. Suddenly my cat came running (he’s like this around the house) jumped on the table and probably didn’t see the cabinet there and went straight into it. This tossed away the cabinet onto the floor. There was also a water bottle on the same table with a slight loose cap which also was somehow thrown right onto the falling cabinet by his legs/tail. The side panel was tamper glass so it broke immediately and the moment bottle fell, the cap went loose flooding the case. Everything happened in a couple of seconds. Gpu and motherboard are dead for sure. Am not sure of processor though but i guess it’ll be good but some glass pieces are stuck in fins of cpu cooler (heat sink?) now (stock amd cooler). Update: i managed to clean the glass from the fina using tooth picks and and a small and thin knife like tool made from plastic bottle
So as a lot of you know, over in Collinsville is the water tower, which is the worlds largest bottle of catsup. Question is, I want to get some drone footage of it but not sure if its ok to use the parking lot of the building below or if there is a park nearby I can take off from. When I fly I dont like people around, ya just have to answer a bunch of questions. LOL. So anyone know if its ok to use the parking lot, probably after business hours, or there a place nearby to take off from? Thanks!
Oklahomas department of corrections is up sh*ts creek. 1400 Convicts have no water for toilets, showers, boilers, kitchen, due to water tower froze solid! 1 bottle of water is there daily ration. I (28F) got my first verbal warning from my boss.
So I suffer from horrific periods, they are just body obliterating every time. So it was brought to my attention that each month I take a day or two off to curl up in a corner and die. Which obviously not great. So, one morning I decided to do the compromise (I have a desk job in the back room of a retailer, no customer talks to me unless on the phone and all my other colleagues are dudes.) so once every two hours I head down with my hot water bottle and fill it up, also making coffees for everyone upstairs cause they have had to put up with my cramp groans and slight sobs (I wish I was joking)
So the third time I go down the boss comes down and says “Do you really think you’re being a team player right now? You have these every month you should be used to them by now. I don’t want to see you using a hot water bottle again. Those boys have to listen to you cry, think about them. Consider this your verbal warning. No more nonsense.”
And they left I was gobsmacked!
EDIT: Holy crap!! This post exploded out of nowhere. I have been trying to respond to as many people as possible with answers that you’re looking for. With a bit of digging this is a verbal warning and my “first offence” so I am going to talk with him and try to explain why it was not okay to single me out, and also a compromise should be registered as so that I am trying to do my best. If it doesn’t resolve I will take it further.
For everyone who has sent me DMs about the medical side of things, I am going to book an appointment with my OBGYN and see if all of your conclusions are correct. I’ve never been examined properly apart from smear tests and I’ve always been turned down and been waved away as just another painful period.
