A list of puns related to "Brookfield Renewable Partners"
Suggestions, please. Is today a good day to buy BEP.UN.TO? Also any thoughts on what account should be investing in i.e.: reg or non-reg account? Not sure if there will be any news from CAD and US coming next week about renewables? Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Just wondering if the news is viewed negatively, or if there is some weird restructuring affecting my shares. Hoping someone can help me understand
I am a little confused. Is there anyone who is a BEP stockholder who can clear up the below statement for me. What does it mean about outstanding units? Does the stock split apply to all current BEP stockholders or a special type of stock I dont know about?
"BEP approved a three-for-two unit split of BEPβs outstanding units. The split will be implemented by way of a subdivision whereby unitholders will receive an additional one-half of a unit for each unit held. On December 11, 2020, the additional units/shares required to give effect to the unit/share splits will be issued to holders of record at the close of business on December 7, 2020."
Good afternoon dear r/stocks followers,
Has Brookfield Renewable Partners gone through with their planned stock split this morning? The company said the split would be a 2 for 3, and that the price would drop proportionally (so by 33% per share). According to my CIBC wealth account, the price opened at 2/3 the price that it closed on Friday. It doesnβt show that the share prices ever reached their price that was around $70USD. Furthermore, CIBC wealth, google, and other trading appsβ graphs show that the shares gained value. Maybe iβm just trash at interpreting news, but I havenβt found any relevant news today on how the price dropped. If the split did happened, I got no additional shares (was at 10 on Friday and is still at 10). It would be really appreciated if someone could clear it up. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Swimswimsalabim
In my opinion it looks like a good company/stock. But my technical analysis says slightly otherwise. I'm still investing in them because I expect more growth. Wondering how you guys feel about them?
Hi r/stocks,
I own shares of Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP) and today they opened down almost 20% and continued to drop throughout the day (currently -26%) They approved a merger with Terraform Power today, buying the remaining 40% of the company they donβt already own with stock.
Why would this trigger such a huge drop? Is it due to share dilution? They are issuing the stock but growing in size by absorbing Terraform, no? There is likely a premium paid for the acquisition but this just seems like a huge drop. Is this something transitional or did the deal tank the stock? Does anyone know what happened?
Thanks in advance
Considering purchasing one or the other long term and DRIP dividend. Which would you pick or tell me why you wouldnβt pick either.
This is more of a long term play as I'm sure most are doing. What green energy stock do you think will do best in the LR and is worth throwing some money into?
My belief is with Biden coming into office if he were to win this would be his "big initiative" and could get right offs for solar panels, etc again
Edit: sunpower
Hi,
I am investing for 6 months right now (23y old).I got a small portf with 500 Dollar invested in BEP since I think green energy has a bright future and I like the 4% dividend. I had some busy months and couldn't follow my stocks as much as I used to in the first months (new work, app etc).
Tomorrow it's BEP's ER and the share went up from 56 to 65, that's like 15% in 3 months. I am a bit concerned that they ER tomorrow won't meet the expectations to justify a 15% growth and it will drop after ER.
Now my question is does anyone follow this stock and has an idea what we will get tomorrow? Or can help me with some info? Thanks.
I'm not too familar with these two sectors. Currently invested in Brookfield Asset Management. Looking to invest in one of the two mentioned. Not particularly interested in Brookfield Property Partners. Would like to learn more about your rationale between BIP and BEP if you had to invest in one of the two
I want to invest in Brookfield, but I hate filing a Schedule 1 - K Form.
For about a year, I've read they will soon be offering $BEP as a regular corporate stock.
They released this in April, but I don't see anything on an actual anticipated date of when the $BEPC shares will be offered:
Anyone got an idea?
Anybody considering investing in the Renewable Energy (RE) sector?
I've done some research and $BEP seems superior to others in the industry, and offers some interesting metrics.
Market Cap: $5.4BN
-Attractive dividend @ 6.48% (although high dividend common in the RE industry)
-Debt to Equity ratio one of the best in the industry with $10.09BN in LT Debt, and $14.28BN in Shareholder equity.
Industry: May be volatile in the short-term as markets are appearing to stable out and US policy on the matter is uncertain with Trump in office. But, many countries are becoming more aware of climate change, and introducing policies for decarbonization which, in my opinion, will promote long-term growth.
Disclaimer: I do not have a current stake in $BEP, but am considering opening a position soon.
Want to hear any opinions or thoughts on this stock, or the industry, from anyone?
I feel all 3 are solid prospects but I would like some alternative opinions.
Looking to get into a renewable energy company like these two, and would like to know any thoughts about them. I know BEP is lots smaller, but has a larger dividend. Both are on sale right now....
After watching BEP.UN for over two years I finally pulled the trigger & got in at around $47.70. I think it will a great addition to my dividend portfolio as it has a large portfolio of renewable assets from around the world & currently pays a yield of around 3.15%.
I still think BEP.UN may a slightly over valued however its down over 22% from its highs. Im planning on holding forever. Who else is bullish on BEP.UN?
Super stoked to finally own this stock!
Hey Everyone,
Just wondering if there are any opinions regarding BEP.UN, I opened a position at $51.74, and its now in free fall after what appears to be a couple of less than stellar earnings results (despite a headline claiming otherwise). It appears that actual power generation dropped YOY. When I read the press release it seems like there is a lot of funds going into building additional capacity so this could be a temporary blip in the road. Im long on this one as I live the geographic diversification and believe that a transition to renewables is imminent.
Does anyone have any insight in whether we are likely to see a reversal on this? Anyone else bag holding?
