Saw this little guy (or girl) at Presqu'ile Provincial Park last week. It was about the size of a chickadee, or maybe even smaller.

The bird was far away, so I didn't get any up-close shots of him. Hopefully they are good enough to identify him with!

Early 20s couple. Living in Northern Ontario. Looking to sell and settle debts and move. Debated a few places and really like the appeal of Brighton, not IN London, yet close, decent job prospects (for me, programmer .net c# etc etc), english as first language, would have also considered Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark etc.

Happy New Year! With that, the deadline for municipalities to opt out of the NY Marijuana Regulation & Taxation Act (MRTA) has now passed. Here's where things are right now.

First, understand that there are two things that municipalities can choose to opt out of:

• Retail dispensaries
• On-site consumption lounges / cannabis cafes

A local government that has opted out of one or both may opt in at any time, but once they're in, they're in for good. Many municipalities are opting for a "wait and see" approach, but some are going for it.

If they do nothing / fail to affirmatively opt-out by the deadline, they are opted in by default. It looks like a decent number of municipalities did this.

A last minute update that has me excited: Fairport has opted in. All the way in. (Note that this is just the village, Perinton has opted out for now).

Here's where Monroe County municipalities appear to be at, as of the deadline:

I'm not 100% sure about all of the defaults. I tried to confirm via press releases, news, and town board minutes for confirmations, but I may have missed some. Some of these towns have really bad websites!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
