A while back I posted here looking for people who received Ketamine infusion treatments for bipolar 2. There were a few interested responses and a few people who had tried it, but I didn't get the big response I was hoping for. Well, I did it and I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else was considering this process. Enjoy!

Thleekla was a xenologist of some repute.
He'd spent centuries cataloguing and experimenting on strange and wonderful species. He'd studied the Void Angels of the Tarantula nebula, who breathed its diffuse gasses, and grew for millennia beyond counting to reach the size of small planets. He'd studied the Mrin'lok people, smallest of all sapients, who burrowed beneath the surface of their dwarf planet to build amazing crystal cities in the ice. He'd made such a name for himself that he was given his own, one-man research vessel, and a great deal of discretion in choosing what to research, and where to do it.
He'd chosen an out of the way system near the inner rim of the Orion-Cygnus arm. A main sequence star, yellow, hydrogen burning. A few millennia earlier, a standard automated exploration probe had catalogued the system. The third planet out had an abundance of life and liquid water. No attempt had been made to catalogue the life, but no obvious signs of advanced technology were present. That didn't bother Thleekla, he didn't need something advanced, he just wanted something new.
Thleekla's mind dropped into the deep familiar focus that would create a gateway, and his ship slipped through it.
It seemed the residents of the third planet had been making some progress since the probe's visit. There were satellites, even some small manned structures in orbit. Nothing to be concerned about, but that species would probably be the best candidate for his experiments. He scanned the planet, selecting a subject that would not be missed, in an area with low population density.
Thleekla's mind again reached out to form a gateway, this time just a small one. The subject fell unceremoniously into a heap in the test chamber.
It was an ape. Bipedal, mostly hairless. It did have long black hair on the top of its head though. Two forward facing eyes, one nose, one mouth, two mammary glands, slender build. All of its features were oriented directly forward, more or less. Likely a predator. Nothing particularly unusual about it, except for the lack of hair. That was a bit of an anomaly for a mammal. Something to pursue later.
The subject stood and began making some noises. Possibly an auditory communication method, suggesting low or no psionic capability. It moved around the room, investigating the smooth walls.
Thleekla gave a mental shrug, beginning the scan. The subject seemed to have some sort of reaction to the scanner beam, screaming and holding its head. Th

Friends and spouse are getting excited about the new games coming out, peeking into their intricate storylines, slough of characters to play as, and immense worlds to explore. Once, I would've also gotten excited about this future prospect of hero-ing and saving the world against vindictive warlords, villains on their insane blood-strewn path to godhood, and eldritch horrors from beyond. After all, I've done it before from Elder Scrolls to Warcraft to Demon Souls/Bloodborne and Final Fantasy. I was a veteran world-saver!
But soon realized I was *waiting* for that sense of anticipation and excitement to hit, rather than actually experiencing it. Instead...
I didn't want to save the world.
After completing RDR2 once, twice, and venturing into RDO for over a year and a half, I've come to appreciate the strength of the small scale. With Arthur, I became emotionally invested into the lives of a gang of nobody outlaws in Somewhere, USA in a way that I didn't expect, but still echoes more strongly than when I was level XX returning from a heavenly realm wiping some divine's blood off my weapon. The narratives and the scale were almost TOO big to take in and appreciate. I got lost in the immensity of it all.
But with RDR2 I held my breath when Pinkertons showed on screen, or when a robbery ended up botched. There was exhilaration when running into that perfect three star moose on the horizon. Changing your outfit depending on the weather. Giving Arthur/John a bath when dirty, and making sure they ate. Picking herbs and finding animals and collecting cards. Returning to camp with a fresh deer to make sure all could eat well. Doing errands.
It was the little things. Never did I felt like I was lacking on anything to do, or that my efforts were a waste of time. Everything I did was an investment, either in entertainment, progression, or participating in this vast and lonely world that was an outlaw, their gun, and their horse. Doing nothing and enjoying a sunset with the campfire at my feet felt like THAT was my world. And THAT was the world I wanted to save. So when it slowly all started to break apart, slip between my fingers, no matter how much I tried and worked towards salvaging the broken pieces between each Chapter, it truly felt like there was something at stake. There was something to LOSE. And I was losing it, actively.
This doesn't happen in other games, in other MMOs, where what you gain is what you keep and everything scales incremently. Things g

As the title says snus is helping me quit my vaping. 3 days ago I bought my first two cans of general snus. It has helped me cut back tremendously. I went from chain vaping every second of the day to hitting my girls vape a couple times in the morning and a couple times at night. Snus is definitely a life saver. I already feel like I can breath so much better. Last time I tried stopping the vape I used nicotine pouches. And it didnβt really work so well. But im here to say that snus can help anyone quit vaping or smoking. I know this is only day three. But this is the farthest I have made it. Itβs all thanks to snus. I really think I have a chance this time with quitting vaping.
βWhere are we going, Algier?β Toll asked from a distance behind me.
βMy, you have so much stamina,β Enzi whispered in my ear.
So annoying. So intentionally annoying.
βHow do you plan to get enough points to move to the next Ring?β
βIt must be so difficult gritting through all that pain.β
Oh, they both had valid points, but I wasnβt going to play either of their games. As long as I was walking, I was in charge. However, thereβd come a time whenβ
βHow long do you think you can walk before your body needs rest?β Toll asked.
βIf youβre tired, you can use my lap as a pillow,β Enzi hummed.
And that was it! I stopped abruptly, causing both demons to ready their weapons and glance around nervously. Through gritted teeth I said, βBoth of you need. To. Shut. Up.β Knowing that wouldnβt convince them, I added, βBefore you get us swarmed by digressers with all the noise youβre making.β
Rather than get offended, Enzi played the role of doting wife and placed a soothing hand on my triceps. βOh, thereβs no need to worry about that. Between Toll and I, we can protect you from a little swarm.β
βIβd rather you didnβt have to protect me at all,β I growled, then stomped off. My tired legs spited me for the effort.
It was true that they could, and most likely would, protect me from another digresser swarm. The problem was that being constantly at battle was a huge disadvantage for me. I couldnβt keep fighting like they did, without rest. As I became more fatigued, Iβd need to depend on them more. It was afternoon now and my body was already begging for sleep.
The issue was, demons donβt need sleep or rest. Itβs part of the reason why, outside of the Culling, most of the workforce had been replaced by demons over the last hundred years, perfectly integrating into roles that were practically made for them. When employers wanted workers that never slept, rested, and infrequently demanded time off, demons were the obviously superior choice. As for humans? We now do the menial tasks that are too simple or not taxing enough to require demons. This obviously means that the average human is significantly financially poorer than the average demon.
... keep reading on reddit β‘So I have watched the second season of this terrible atrocity known as Netflix, and I can honestly say that it's hard to even be snarky and sarcastic about all this. It is that sad. There have been quite many terrible fantasy adaptations, but I think this TV defecation has a special place in hell along with the first season. Not only the books were tainted and shit upon, but also everything has been replaced into something so much worse. I have a feeling that the rule of subjective-objective doesn't work here. I'm not even sure where to start.
Probably it's good to start from the books. The thing is that 99% of scenes, dialogues, and other occasions never happened in the books. Even things that are clearly from the books are done in a mocky parody manner like some pop culture reference in Family Guy. None of the characters resemble their originals, and I feel really bad for Eskel, Vesemir, Francesca, Dijkstra, Yennefer, Tissaia, Dandelion, and many others. Yennefer especially is portrayed like a wicked cunt this time with her occasional times of unmotivated hysteria and SHITTON of out-of-character moments. In order to make her seem less of a Mary Sue, probably the screenwriters decided to remove all of her magical powers, but she didn't stop being Mary Sue (obviously) if she does anything, everything goes perfectly well eventually. And getting powers back is not explained at all. It. Just. Happens.
Since there is no sane way to make a path of redemption, Cahir and Fringilla continued to be their caricature evil selves just as they were in Season 1 just taken up to eleven. Vilgefortz is a thousand times more of a cuck than he was in Season 1, (nuff said), while Istredd became some kind of a replacement for Henry Cavill honestly, such an underserved spotlight for such a bland & uninteresting character (I'm talking about the show one, the book one only appeared in one short story). And Tissaia now is a hysterical fool. There are tons of such unpleasant details like making Meve a pathetic little girl and Vizimir is a young douchy ruler instead of being an old man, so it's a waste of time to stop at every single one of them.
It's better to analyze the scenario faults of the show because there is a countless number of them. If you want your audience to feel bad for oppressed elves why do you portray them as pathetic bums? Do they have any self-respect? I felt like the elves in the show ask for being eradicated. The whole elven baby plot was completely us

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
