UPDATE: 11.192019 16:29 walked 2 miles to Trader Joe’s and back to pick up some LID lunch. The walk took a bit out of me but I’m fine otherwise. My throat started to burn finally. Well, one a scale of 1-10 it’s at a low 1. If I focus I notice it.

UPDATE: 11.18.2019 22:46 Didn’t have any symptoms today. Well, I did have a slight bit of nausea but I wonder if that was from the increased fiber intake. I did notice, however, that my period has been the most normal it has been in years. Not RAI related but definitely thyroid + Levo related.

UPDATE: 11.16.2019 20:32 Feeling really good. No side effects. Just bored and watching sewing, knitting, and cooking videos on YouTube. Doesn’t feel like I took a high dosage of radiation at all. Might not update until scan unless I feel something.

UPDATE: 11.15.2019 They forgot to release me yesterday so I had to stay over night. :/ I was retested this morning by the awesome radiation safety officer who was furious that I was still there despite giving me the all clear. I was at a 0.1. I don’t feel any differently but i am so very,very tired. No dry mouth, no nausea.

UPDATE: 11.14.2019 It’s almost been 24 hours since I took the pill and i don’t really feel anything. My face felt like I had been in the sun for a short while but that’s about it. My Endo came in to see me and he said that that’s perfectly normal and that it doesn’t mean that it’s not working. I’ll update anything if I feel something. 14:43 My lovely radio safety officers came to monitor my levels and they measured a little above 3. They put in the order to release me later but I’m still leaving my gown on and stuff in my drawers just in case. Still don’t feel anything. 22:36 Still don’t feel anything. Also, still in hospital but I’m ok with that because I didn’t want to have to come back as the a$$ crack of dawn to get blood drawn from a vein already abused by having an IV in it for three days.

UPDATE: 11.13.2019 12:30 I’m in my hospital room now. I’ve had a series of blood tests and now we’re just waiting on the results of my pregnancy test. Can’t eat or drink anything all day. Haven’t received my instructions, just chilling and watching Karate Kid 2

Dr. told me that because my hospital doesn’t have a facility to check my urine for iodine they have to wait a week for the results. This also means that I’ll finally be able to break LID on the 22 of November. Which means I’ll have been on the diet a total of 39 days cries in NO iodine

I’ll be getting 150 mci and I guess this is because my PTC type - classic. Let’s see what the pee test says....

Anyhoo!!! I’m looking for people going though RAI the same time as I am to kvetch and check up on each other.

I'm into day two of Interstate 76 and it's been a bear to get working. There's a lot of threads about it all over the place, and a lot of dead links.

First off, I can't get my controller to work at all, so I'm playing with keyboard only. No mouse or joystick. I'm using wasd (the one true keyboard layout) for driving and the numeric keypad for looking around, weapons management, and misc. stuff. I tried using the mouse but I realized how dumb it was to use the mouse when I'm not moving it at all; just clicking buttons.

By default, I76 will run in software rendering mode, which caps you at 640x480. That's lame. I was able to get it to run in 1024x768 using glide mode. I'm using the GoG launcher, I opened it and clicked More > settings and added -glide as a command line argument. You can also launch it from command prompt with i76.exe -glide.

Glide is the old api that 3dfx wrote, back when voodoo 3d cards were the hottest shit around. To get glide working, I had to download the OLD version of dgvoodoo. I had a bunch of problems with the newer version, but the old version worked fine. You can get it here: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo/dgVoodoo1.50Beta2.zip. Extract it all to the i76 directory and run dgVoodooSetup.exe. I didn't mess with much other than changing the resolution on the glide tab, but I'm still messing with it. I'll post any updates.

Finally, I read that you should force a 30ghz refresh rate, so I did that by launching NVidia control panel, going to "manage 3d settings, and adding a profile for i76.exe. I set "Vertical Sync" to Adaptive (half refresh rate). I should note that this didn't really seem to help anything, but I guess there's some issues with jumps and such that it might fix.

I still have issues with the car wheels and tail lights looking janky and skittering around, but the game is playable and looks pretty good. I'm running at 1024x768 now, but I might explore higher resolutions.

If you really think your 42m km trip in Stanton needs to take 10 minutes, what do you plan on doing when your trip from Earth to Neptune (4.3b km) takes 17 hours?

Edit: I didn't realize that CIG had scaled things down. The 4 billion km distance is the actual irl distance between Earth and Neptune. However, even scaling that down by a factor of 10, that's over an hour of travel time.

At the time we were thinking of naming him Carson.

I’m currently on my lunch break and I legit feel like I’m in prison.

I’m so mad at my parents for thinking that I would like it here. They’re good parents. But this world frickin sucks man. I’ve got nothing to look forward to.

I’m not looking forward to being fully independent. I already work full-time...but there’s no way I can do that, cook my meals, and do all of the required errands.

It’s not for me. None of this is for me. Maybe being on the autism spectrum attributed to this. But this world makes me want to cry everyday. Life is hard, but none of my triumphs have made the hard portion worth it in the slightest.

I am bipolar and dont feel that I can care for a child, especially by myself. I dont want to live with my parents forever.

I've gone to this place before. The people who work there are rough and not nice but after a year there when I was 17 I did okay up until now.

I think he deserves two parents who want him and can care for him.

I have been so depressed since the babys father and I have broken up that I spend days in bed. I know I could not raise a child in my present state of mind.

I want to have my tubes tied after this.

My greatest wish for the baby is for him to have two loving parents and a happy, healthy home.

My greatest wish for me is to someday be normal.

There are so many emotions. This is our first baby and my husband said it will be our last because our son was born with Down's. It was something we never tested for because we weren't considered high-risk and it doesn't run in the family. I feel guilty for so many reasons. Like I let my husband down, I did something to cause this and that I probably would have had an abortion if I knew. But I love this baby so much and he's mine for better or worse. I feel angry because I'm being robbed of a normal parenthood. I drink so much that I blackout and sometimes have these dreams where my baby is born with no defects or wake up HOPING to God it was all a nightmare.

EDIT: People who say he's a gift are the same people who said "congrats" when I was pregnant to "my sympathy" when he was born.
