Was delivering to an apartment complex I've been to once before. Customer only gave an apartment number and no building number. I know for a fact this complex has building numbers and it would have made finding the apartment so much quicker for me. I ask the customer for the building number and she goes "they never told me my building number and I don't know what it is."
Are you fucking serious? All you gotta do is step outside your door, look up, and tell me the building number. After I finally handed the food to her, i pointed above her head and told her what her damn building number is.
Nature exists and we are life that nature produced - and humans are beings that recognize that they do harm to their planet. I am an organism that is aware of its existence as an organism
And yet I am glad I am alive to experience it?
My brother recently expressed interest in playing modern and we did the modern deck flow chart of what deck to play. He got Boggles.
I never really played Boggles let alone faced against it, so I'm curious what should we expect? Also it would be mighty kind if someone can point me in the right direction of streamers or youtubers that play with the deck.
EDIT: Flowchart link. https://www.reddit.com/r/ModernMagic/comments/frxuoo/how_to_choose_a_modern_deck_in_spring_2020/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
How the hell Bitcoin Cash can be over $600 and $LTC worth twice as much as ICP is beyond me- THIS is supposed to be "the third great achievement in blockchain technology" (Dfinity, 2021)-
I didn't expect to make a bunch of $$$ with this coin, but I also didn't expect the coin to lose 90% of its value in a couple weeks- It had NO BUSINESS starting the price at $250, that was clearly just a money grab by Dfinity on the backs of retail investors who weren't savvy enough to buy at ICO or were unable (due to geography) Nice job Dfinity, but now you have no community- you may have a few developers and VC investors, but a project doesn't succeed with those- it needs people, and right now "your people" are running away in droves- fact.
ICP dropping ranks, price, and volume like it's going out of style!!! -lol
I mean...wtf man...
I know she loves me, and sheβs not upset at me. But itβs just so often I feel disrespected or unwanted the time she doesnβt even look up at me to greet me in the morning, or if I just came home. I was taught that you speak to someone to greet them, and that when you do so, you make eye contact. Anything else is disrespectful.
This morning I come downstairs, itβs pretty audibleβ¦ She doesnβt look up at me at all, and since somebody else was asleep in the room, I wanted to wait till our eyes met to greet her so I wouldnβt need to speak loudly. Well, she never looked up. Instead she informed me that what I was down there to do was already done. When I said good morning, didnβt hear anything. When I asked if she was doing okay, without looking at me, she said yea. So then I went back upstairs.
I know she has had a hard year, dealing with huge losses, but shes always done this. So was I just raised a little too much stick up the butt, or is this rude to most people?
In the text for Boggles' teleport ability it says they need to create the portal in a frame. What does that mean? Does it have to be rigid like a door or window? Or can the Boggle carry around a tired off rope to have a portable "frame" at all times?
There are quite a few rappers that make human mistakes, but because of their stature and fame we consider them to be poor role models. Playboi Carti has never gotten into trouble, which in itself is positive, given his notoriety and the number of young people who look up to him. Carti has never let the spotlight keep him for emitting a positive image for the younger generation. His presence has also created a bridge between white and black communities.
In this day and age, with the evolution of social media and the incredibly in-depth coverage that rappers endure, Carti has brilliantly handled his intense fame while never letting it change the type of person he is. An example of Carti's humanity came at an airport in Oklahoma City. He was waiting for his plan to receive fuel, while at the same time a number of military personal were waiting for their helicopters to be filled up as well. Some of the uniformed men asked to take photos him, but his security detail said no. Thatβs when Carti stepped in. According to a local OKC newspaper, Carti told the military guys to come over and take photos him. Pretty cool that such a high-profile rapper didnβt think twice about letting these brave men take a souvenir photograph.
Carti is a big contributor to community programs around the country. He has an active role in the HomxideClub, Money n Drugs @ St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , and the Opium Relief Fund. Carti also has his own charity titled the Fatherhood Foundation, which raises counseling and advice for Fathers raising their children in his native Zone 3 Fulton County 678 2900 Atlanta . Since high school, Carti has handled himself with dignity and class.
Explain to me again why ANYONE should hate Carti?
Like, who designs a fortress/military base with ONE door?
First off, the scale of the door. Itβs too big. The designers couldβve made the door smaller but equally durable door, but no.
Second, the thing with having one massive door is that any transport in and out becomes logistically difficult, just by virtue of waiting for the massive door to open. Fortresses are made for garrisons to be able to move in and out at an adequate pace to protect the area around it. They donβt even have another doorway for troops to move out.
Third, having only ONE door means that the enemy can just concentrate all of their manpower and firepower on that singular entry point. With multiple entry points the attackers would have to surround all of them, spreading their forces thin, making it easier for defenders to concentrate their forces and break through the attackers. Not to mention that it also makes it easier for the First Order to just starve them out.
Also, why wasnβt there an orbital blockade on Crait? The presence of Walkers, the battering ram, TIE fighters and such prove that there were still operable Star Destroyers, not to mention that Kylo could always request extra support. The moment the Falcon approached the planet the ground forces shouldβve been alerted to its presence as the Star Destroyers wouldβve detected it.
Bruh this is so dumb.
This is one of the biggest features that I thought would be more common and is one of the main reason I stayed with Spotify for so long. PLEASE let us download all of our liked/saved songs with the press of a button. I know there's a workaround involving some playlist shenanigans but why? I'd love to have that feature and it would only further solidify my choice of staying with Apple Music. Also obligatory Windows app complaint.
I just finished the game over the weekend and finally watched all the reviews, analysis and feedback from the gaming community. And all I can say, is I am absolutely, mind-bendingly baffled by the hate and disappointment.
I've seen all sorts of complaints about the gameplay and especially the story and wanted to address them each.
Gameplay/Presentation: The biggest complaints I've seen is that its the same as the first game and doesnt bring anything new. And while I don't think thats entirely true I can at least understand where people are coming from. However, playing these two games very different experiences. I played TLOU directly before playing TLOU2, my playthroughs even overlapped a bit and the elevation of essentially the same mechanics is impressive. I understand the first game is much, much older, but I remember even during my initial playthrough it still 'felt like a video game'. A damn good video game, but it still had laggy NPCs, rough cuts between gameplay and cutscenes, standard animations and standard combat.
TLOU2 had the most intense, impactful and desperate gameplay I've ever experienced. And all of that without adding tons of new features and mechanics and overwhelming us with controls and systems. It's a simple game and its perfect.
Every bullet feels impactful and important. Every encounter dripping in suspense. No game I've every played has just felt this good. Uncharted 4 is close, but still felt 'video gamey'. This game grounded in reality without feeling sluggish. I love RDR2, but it did feel sluggish a bit. Ellie is agile, fast and deadly, but doesnt feel like a buffed game hero. Eventhough the NPC's AI is far from groundbreaking, no other NPCs have felt more human. Beyond calling each other by name (which was amazing), they just felt way more like real people than killing targets. The melee animations, exposition power, red mist, blood splatters, body fragments are all far beyond anything else I've seen in a game.
What really stood out to me beyond the incredible action was how smoothly everything was presented. The transitions from cut scenes to gameplay to quick time events was effortless. The best by far was the camera transitions from Abby after being cut down by Lev and Yara, to facing into the forest with infected running out of the darkness. Holy Shit. Each melee weapon had unique and brutal animations that transitions seamlessly in and out of live gameplay. And not a single time was I ever distracted dur
