[ALL] Using ONLY evidence from the tv episodes of seasons 1 & 2, I attempt to prove david lynch ultimately decided cooper was dead and inside of the red room before the series began, and season 3 episode 18 has a tie-in that closes the loop on it
  • In the first red room scene in the show, in episode 3, cooper is already 25 years older with old man makeup on

  • When Gordon visits twin peaks for the first time in season 1, he warns cooper not to go too deep, and mysteriously tells cooper he "went into the chute back in Pittsburgh"

  • Windom earle's backstory in season 2 is that he was cooper's fbi mentor and partner, who became obsessed with the occult, black magic, and the ability to manipulate reality & time by harnessing the power of the black lodge, as shown through a black and white video of him speaking on this topic in the distant past and expressing his frustration that no one believes what he's telling them

  • Cooper explains that at some point he entered into an affair with windom earle's wife despite their close relationship, causing windom to then then murder his wife, after which time windom then began injecting himself with the same chemical that mike injects himself with, the chemical which suppresses mikes possession, or whatever mike's supernatural connection is, and allows mike to be functional in twin peaks

  • When cooper enters the red room in the final episode, he sees the dead body of windom earle's wife, and cooper's dead body laying next to her, stabbed in the stomach, the same place where josie shot him, and where windom stabs him a second time in the red room shortly thereafter

> The red room isn't "this is your life", it doesn't show you flash backs, or scenes from the past, you only see the spirits that are in the lodge who entered it or were taken there

Coopers dead body is right there on the floor plain as day, from when windom earle killed him in the past

  • In the final episode the dwarf says the red room is "the waiting room", we can only conclude, based on the evidence available to us in season 1 & 2, it is the waiting room for the dead, meanwhile cooper has been in it throughout both seasons - he must be dead already the first time he's shown there in episode 3

> it's all right in front of us. What other explanation could there be for cooper's dead body being in the waiting room for the dead already other than he died long ago?

  • Windom earle either took his wife into the lodge in pittsburg and cooper followed, another version of the same events that played out with windom/annie/cooper, or cooper and windom's wife went into

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly of the Wheel of Time tv-series / suggestions & changes

Me, someone who read the books in elementary school. I got all the way to The Path of Daggers and then kinda forgot about it since there were no more books out at the time.
Some of the terms are a bit of a mess in my head because it's been over two decades and because I read it in three different languages since I didn't know English as a child in the dark ages, known as the 90s. I started with my native tongue, moved on to my home tongue since I was slightly more used to it and once I learned English I started reading it in the native tongue, bada bing bada boom, a solid mess of names and terms in my noggin.

All that said, I was quite excited when I heard about the TV series. Managed to get my wife, who has never read the books, intrigued about it.

A few things: When I saw the first episode I, like many here, was slightly taken aback by the speed they were running through everything, and some of the changes. The girls (who don't even get a name?) for Mat, the wife (had a name but I already forgot it) for Perrin, a bunch of the colourful townsfolk who were axed (no, not like that Perrin) from the show among other things.

But once I watched the second and third episode I started to see more and more glimpses of the story I was enthralled by when I was but a wee lad, imagining himself having a Grey Heron sword and a warders cloak but you know, they were actually a green towel and a wooden sword me and my dad made. But I did draw a (shitty) Grey Heron on it!
And now I'm on board and looking forward to the next episodes.

READ HERE IF YOU WANT TO READ JUST ABOUT THE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT THE SHOW

But!
Here's my suggestion on how I would've wanted to change the first few episodes.

The biggest issue of the beginning is that we have very, very little time to get to know any of the characters. Each of them gets essentially one scene which shows what kind of people they are and that's it. And then Moraine shows up, Aes Sedai's shit up, zaba zii zaba zuu, oh dear, we've got Trollocs attacking!

EPISODE I:
How about the first episode would be just about the town, about Egwene, Rand, Mat, Perrin and the townsfolk. Give us personalities and people and drama, give us something to grab onto! Show us what kind of people our four main Two Riverians are. Maybe let Perrin do some blacksmithing? Let Rand, uh, herd sheep and imagine the flame real hard. Let Egwene help run the inn. Let Mat try escape real work.
Just show us the calm (but boring for

In the TV Series Vikings and The Last Kingdom, certain warriors are often seen to fight in pitched battles using two one-handed weapons. Is there any evidence to suggest that warriors would actually do this?

I am aware that battles at this time heavily relied on the shield wall, and from what I can find there is little suggesting that use of two one-handed weapons is historically accurate. Is there any evidence to suggest that people from Scandinavia would fight in battle this way?

(Spoiler) Who are the most evil villains from the MCU films (not counting TV series)?

So, for those of you who don`t know there is a trope created by TV Tropes called Complete Monster (also known as Pure Evil). They are regarded as the very worst of the worst characters from a certain franchise. There are a lot of requirements for these trope but the main ones are the following:

  1. The character has ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING QUALITIES. Even if a character has some redeeming qualities at the start of the story he/she could still become a Complete Monster if he/she loses them. Even one single redeeming quality is enough to disqualify a character from this trope.
  2. The character in question commits horrible, atrocious crimes that are presented seriously within the story and their actions are worse than the actions of most other villains in the story. We also take into account their resources and their ability to cause harm to other people. This means that if a character has more resources (if for example he/she is a ruler that commands thousands of people), then he/she needs to comit bigger atrocities in order to stand out. If a character has less resources to harm people (for example, if he/she is a lone serial killer), then he/she qualifies if their crimes are heinous enough considering their resources. If a character`s actions are not heinous enough by the standards of the story then he/she can`t be a Complete Monster. The character`s crimes must pass several different heinous standards in order for the character to count as a Complete Monster:

- The baseline standard - This is a common standard that all villains need to pass, no matter the work they come from. This means that the villain needs to commit crimes that are worse than animal cruelty, theft, abuse (unless the abuse is REALLY extreme but that rarely happens) and trying to kill the main characters (because this is something most villains try to do).

- The standards of the work - This means that the villain should be compared to other villains from the same work (or franchise) to see if his/her actions are bad enough to make him/her stand out. This means that a villain who comes from a lighthearted series like My Little Pony needs to be compared to other villains from My Little Pony and not to villains from grimdark franchises such as Warhammer 40000, A Song of Ice and Fire and Berserk. Similarly, a villain who comes from a work withΒ high heinous standard shouldΒ  be compared to other villains from the same franchise and not toΒ villains that come from My Little Pony.

-
