Very old film
My fiancee is obsessed with finding this movie. It's from when she was rather young so the movie might've been older than she recalls. Pretty positive it's called the trip but every search we've done comes up as a dud. There's a few plot points she's for sure on tho.

It starts with a flashback where a group of researchers are on the island collecting data when they're attacked and the head scientist grabs a sword (?) & takes a swing at one of em only for it to get stuck in a tree. At the end of the movie our main protagonist (a woman) pulls the sword out to save herself. She's also the only one to survive.

Protagonist finds her boyfriend's corpse and Don's his necklace in remembrance. The bf wanted to marry her so he drew "marry me" in the sand before he died.

She rubs this secretion from the trees all over her once she finds out it repels the creatures.

No hacks. Day 13 is real. Day 14 is real. And presumably Days 15, 16, 17 onward are too. The challenge is how far can we go?
I see the subject of Nocturnal vs Diurnal ending come up often here (which you prefer, what their philosophical implications are etc). What I don’t see discussed much is the practical mechanics of each ending.
Sadly, we don’t really get to explore the Nocturnal ending. You can’t exit the marshes and visit the Crude Sprawl. You can descend from the Polyhedron and wander in the infected Bridge Square, but you can’t go far. You can walk to the boat station, but the worm won't carry you out of a plagued area.
The Diurnal ending, on the other hand, is a whole other world with similar but subtly altered rules to the rest of the game. You no longer suffer from hunger or exhaustion but you can still:
- Be injured or die (from fall damage – as I think you also can in the Nocturnal ending, if you’re clumsy on the Polyhedron stairs)
- Kill or be killed (>!if you haven’t already resolved the situation with Barley, you can take him out on Day 12. Or he can kill you.!< You can enter houses and fight the townspeople – and kill them or be beaten to death.)
- Raise your reputation (by trading or fixing water pumps)
- Lower your reputation (by stealing from or attacking townspeople)
- Buy and sell in stores (including Var’s)
- Empty the caches and loot cupboards that are left, as well as scavenge in bins
- Buy the infection map from Dandy at the full Day 11 price but it's blank now (I respect the entrepreneurial spirit)
However, time stands still in both endings, and in the Diurnal, this has a number of interesting effects.
- You can’t grow herbs. You can pour blood on roots but nothing happens – because the herbs need time to bloom. Herbs also no longer grow (or at least visibly/audibly bloom) on the steppe.
- Your lamp doesn’t go out. I just discovered this and it makes total sense. Burn that single match in an unending present.
- You can’t brew antibiotics or painkillers. They will stay bubbling away in your alembic forever. UNLESS…
As some of you will know, there is a way to move the clock forward in the Diurnal ending without console commands, and it’s by boat travel. I don’t know whether this was intended. The developers could have had all the odonghs abandon their boats and go and liv

The boat owner asked for a 50% deposit before we went which I paid. The weather on the day wasn’t great. He warned us in advance and then cancelled the morning of the trip. He promised to return the £300 deposit on the phone. He has repeatedly promised to refund me, but then never does. I have text message exchanges showing him promising the refund but no payment made. After a month or so he claimed he was unable to transfer to my bank account (despite me having paid him directly via a bank transfer) and said he needed a PayPal link. I set up a payment request on PayPal and sent him the link. He’s repeatedly ignored it. Whenever I get through to him he acts like he’s just forgotten to get it done, but never sends the money. What’s my best course of action?

As described here, Boat Trip Time Machine (I may possibly be regretting this title) is a challenge that involves moving the in-game clock forward as far as possible beyond Day 12. This requires boat travel, so essentially the challenge is: get as many fingernails [boat tokens] as you possibly can before and after the end of Day 11.
I added an extra condition which will have reduced my final time a bit – to keep all named characters alive and to fill the public fund meter every day by attending the hospital and treating civilians. After all, why would the Haruspex want to stick around in a town he’s not committed to, and if he’s committed to the town and its people, why would he not try his best to protect them? I’ve also found that I function best in challenges when I have more than one goal to think about.
Trying to save everyone will impact the number of fingernails you can trade for because you’ll likely need shmowders, and trading for those will require resources you could be using elsewhere.
I ended up with 271 fingernails by the end of Day 11 and found/traded for a further 185 after that. This carried me a total of 7 days 22 hours to Day 20, and I could have gone a little further by fully emptying my inventory but possibly only another day, day and a half.
TL:DR Whether or not you try this challenge, I would strongly recommend taking some time to hang out in the Diurnal Ending and explore the beautiful world of the game in all its detail. When the clock is no longer ticking, you can fully appreciate the things you missed when you were frantically running to the hospital or starving to death for want of a Delicious Egg.

Some probably excessive notes on the process and thoughts for anyone who’s interested or wants to take this concept further.
- First extremely basic point: I avoided taking boats as much as possible before Day 12, to save the fingernails for later. This is especially relevant when the fare doubles. Doing a True Menkhu run was good preparation for this; previously I’ve probably used boats a little too freely.
- Since completing 200% difficulty, I over-prepare on Day 1 and hoard a ton of food for later days. While I think a solid stockpile helps to take pressure off the later game and ensures you don’t miss out on chances for trading, thi

My wife, daughter, and I have recently started sailing around the Charleston area on a new to us 349. We are looking to plan out some short trips next year to Edisto, Hilton Head, Savanah, or Wilmington.
I figured it would be nice to buddy boat and or flotilla on the way to meet some more sailors in the area if anyone is interested.
I know the update is too new for certain info but I'm a little bummed out with the Boat Trip Islands so far. I was able to do one last night with the update and got an island with holly bushes but nothing else seemed to be there no snow either. Then my second trip today while looking for Brewster it was the same island with holly bushes and nothing else. A bunch of people are already finding new flora and stars. Have any of you had duplicate less exciting island also?
A women with severe memory loss that loses memory every day. she meets guy in diner they end up together and make a boat trip at the end of the movie. the guyy plays some movie every morning to wake his wife of where they are in their life and whats going on. is basically all what i can remember so far.
