A list of puns related to "Black owned businesses"
In support and solidarity, let's amplify Black-owned businesses by sharing their best products.

Don't know if anyone else has posted this here before, if so, sorry for making another post about it.
I already posted this list in r/Euroskincare but thought it might get more reach here.
With everything going on I wanted to share some black-owned beauty businesses because a big part of invoking real change is to be more conscious of where you spend your money. We as consumers are the ones that have the power to make or break these companies. Lets put our money where our mouth is!
EDIT: Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful in sharing all these brands! I'll try to list as many as possible! Wanted to share this link as well. If you have the means, please donate to some of the organisations that could really use your help. Supporting these beauty brands will benefit black-owned businesses in the long run. But right now the people that need our help the most are those on the frontline!
On another note, apparently a lot of useful comments have been downvoted. To anyone doing this, and to the people that have come here to argue, why are you here? Nobody is forcing you to go through this post or buy these products. This post is clearly not for you! Stop forcing yourself into a conversation that you are clearly not willing to have. Just post your shelfie and go!

Some brands contain 'fragrance free' products but are formulated with a lot of botanical extracts. These extracts aren't always known irritants and can even have beneficial properties. However, if you already have sensitive skin/known allergens, proceed with caution. Research the ingredients (as you always should do) as being exposed to so many highly formulated extracts might be sensitising to some.
All products listed below can be used by anyone. Skin care is not limited to one gender. But if you are feeling cautious wether you can try these products or not because of for instance, heavy fragrance, I suggest you try out one

I can't protest but I would love to use my everyday spending in a productive way! Restaurants are relatively simple to find (and I'd be glad to hear them), but what I'm mostly interested to hear are any alcohol brands, food & pantry items, stores, bars/breweries, and online subscription/produce boxes that you love that are black owned and have products available in NYC. Don't just submit small businesses! I'd love to know about bigger ones like Briogeo and Cushnie too.

We are particularly looking for customers of Black Women-owned businesses, but the survey is inclusive of those who do not shop from Black Women or aren't sure if they do. In other words, all adults are eligible, so please take 10 minutes to respond! The cut off date for responses is end of June 17, 2021. The information will be used for strategy development; the answers themselves will not be spread beyond our small group of students.
Hey folks! As you know today is #blackouttuesday. But my friends & I have decided instead of adding just another black square, it'd be a good idea to promote Black and Indigenous businesses and non-profits here in Ottawa!
If you know any that could use a boost, please post them here!
I also politely ask that any centrist concern-trolls please move along to the countless other spaces on the world wide web to do so.
This gave me weird and inappropriate vibes from the beginning and I think I realized why.
I live in Canada and my company encouraged us to buy from black-owned businesses right after the George Floyd murder (literally the DAY after he was murdered, gross imo). It feels a lot like people wanting to financially benefit off of someoneโs murder because they happen to share the same skin colour, and not just that but this murder happened in a whole other country. I also want to add, I looked into some of the businesses they linked to, and most of the business owners seem to be from upper-middle class families (they went to the top Canadian universities and a couple even went to school in Switzerland and France) Definitely not people who are hurting.
I think most people would think it was inappropriate for women, in say Las Vegas, to profit off of the รcole Polytechnique murders in Quebec, or for LGBT businesses in British Columbia to profit off of the Pulse nightclub murders. Itโs strange to me that we except it in this case, or am I totally wrong on this?
What businesses can I support around the city that are Black owned and operated?
Iโd love to compile a list for the community.
Edit: Looks like Austin Monthly has already started on this. Hereโs the link in case anyone finds this post through search.
I try to align my purchases witch my beliefs and now more than ever I would like to know more black-owned skincare, beauty and all around makeup brands!

I was scrolling on twitter and an ad from Ciara (a popular R&B singer, for context). She was talking about pairing up with Discovery to give small black-owned restaurants financial help in the total of $5 million dollars.
As a black woman myself it made me happy to see a famous member of the community helping out those of us struggling with starting up businesses, but when I went to the comments it was a different story.
Everyone was getting really angry with Ciara and the company helping saying that it was โracistโ to do this and that it was considered โracial profilingโ among other things.
I guess iโm just wondering why was everyone so angry? Is it actually racist for black people to help other black people?
Hey Reddit-
I'm trying to put my money where my mouth is and be more conscious of supporting black-owned businesses. Do you have any favorites in Astoria & Queens?
I'm also happy to hear about black artisans, Etsy shops, etc.
Here are a few of my favorite black-owned businesses in Auburn! Help me build a list in the comments
-High 5 Fitness - small gym owned by the coolest guy ever.
-Pannie Georgeโs - do I even need to say more?
-Braids 2 Fades - this is a new childrenโs hair salon owned by a woman who started the business in memory of her late husband. Awesome woman, awesome mission.
