When you say the name of Natalia Kills, it's likely that X F*ctor will immediately be brought up -- i mean, it is still to this day, her YouTube comment sections are PLAGUED with the same old tired jokes about Natalia Kills Her Career or whatever. Well, that incident may have obliterated her entire career trajectory all in the span of 8 minutes, but it's also what made me discover her -- or rather, a few comments on this sub off-handedly mentioning the iconic döppelganger rant and her writing credit on Kiss It Better by Rihanna at least made her name nest itself somewhere in the back of my mind. And that was that for a good handful of months, until one day while i was listening to a few Madonna demos that didn't make it onto Rebel Heart i saw that she had a hand in writing a few of them, particularly Nothing Lasts Forever and the only final tracklist member, Holy Water. At this point, my brain just automatically put 2 and 2 together and i thought to myself "ok, this girl wrote Kiss It Better, Holy Water and Nothing Lasts Forever which are all pretty poggers songs, let's check out her own stuff then". So i pulled up to my bestie Wikipedia's house, looked her up, saw that Mirrors was her biggest "hit", looked that up on YouTube, and oh my god... well let's just say there's a reason why it's my most scrobbled song of all time on last.fm now. I was OBSESSED oh my god, i replayed the SHIT out of Mirrors + Wonderland and Controversy with a serving of Zombie, Free, Outta Time, Saturday Night and Kill My Boyfriend on the side once i ultimately waded in further. There was a point where i couldn't hold myself back anymore and thus i decided to make Natalia's (admitedly short) discography my next one to dive because there was no way i was gonna be able to live any longer without hearing at least Perfectionist once. And so the time has come... and it came in that order: Womannequin>Perfectionist>Trouble>+30mg (and yes i threw in the Cruel Youth stuff too so i could have enough material to make this a full-fledged post and get some promo for Natalia). Was it worth it to make her a priority above everything else i had planned, or was it an artistically atro

I'll be going to see Bikini Kill in Dallas on May 9th! It's going to be my first punk show, and the first concert I've been to in a long time. I'm just a teen, I'm going with my Dad. I've never been to a concert with floor tickets before. What should I do to stay safe? What should I do before I get there, what should I expect, etc.

Also, to those that have seen them before, what should I expect from a Bikini Kill show in general?

I found it a really inspiring quote. My school now has this 'Girls And Nonbinary' group (lmao what a way to be inclusive! ...also wouldn't let a mtf//mtnb in... likkkeee??? eh.) And we had speech 💬 (<like that) things to write things on. The teacher said 'So we can put them somewhere visitors will see' THIS ISNT ABOUT THE VISITORS! Seriously, everything they seem to be doing lately; all for visitors and shit. They don't care about the actual kids here lol. Like they're inviting in Peter tachell (lgbt activist) but they full on ignore homo/transphobia. Sexism and what IS sexual harassment has happened to me (and other people) since I joined that school in YEAR 7. I WAS 11 YEARS OLD! I don't wanna be hearing that some guy wants to fuck me and shit.. I'm 14 now, and I'm glad we have a female ta because she says stuff, where as the male TAs didn't.

A lot of people (myself included) say that twice’s music has gotten better and better over their career. Many use fancy as the cutoff line between “old” twice and “new” twice and say this is where twice’s music leveled up and started getting really good. I’ve noticed tho that a lot of people bring down their older music when talking about how great their newer music is.

This is something I just can’t get behind. I fell in love with twice’s music long before fancy and at the time I had already considered them to be one of the best. All their old music still holds up so well and I can listen to their old albums front to back the same way I can their new albums. Would I say their new music is better? Probably but that doesn’t mean their older music doesn’t deserve praise as well. After all that music is what made them one of the top ggs of all time.
