A list of puns related to "Benewah Milk Bottle"
My 15mo old daughter has transitioned fabulously from bottle to cup with everything but milk. Water and juice will be drunken from a sippy cup but milk has to be in a bottle or else she doesn't drink it. I have tried feeding her from the sippy cup the same way I do with a bottle, in my arms, she screams and cries as if I'm torturing her. I've tried just giving it to her, She pushes it away. I tried giving it to her in a bottle, having her watch me pour it from the bottle into the sippy cup and I get the same results. What else can I do? She has to drink her milk but also needs to get away from using bottles.
So a few months ago I had an issue with my milk being taken on a Sunday evening/Monday morning, every week for 3 weeks I was on the verge of just canceling the delivery but then had thought to get my own back, so I got 3 pints on Friday left them in the sun (it was July at this point) on Saturday until the foil cap had pushed up so the milk had soured then placed it in the fridge to bring it back down to good milk temperature placed in my milk caddy ready for the buggars. Monday morning comes and the milk was gone I leterally hopped skipped and jumped down the road in my dressing gown. I re started my milk order for Monday and I've never had a bottle go since little victories and all that.
She is about to be 3 months so Iβm worried we waited too long. I am trying to slowly get her familiar with the nipple and bottle but she just wants her pacifier or boob. I have a nice freezer stash finally and canβt believe she wonβt even taste it! Any advice or other moms going through this?
She's only 9 days old but I'm having such a hard time at night. I try and nap during the day but it doesn't always work well, napping during the morning isn't working for me at all cuz I'm till exhausted by the time it's 7pm. Feeding her right from my breast at night puts me to sleep and I get frustrated with myself for not being able to be awake with her because I'm so drained of energy.
Can I give her a bottle at night so I can be awake or so my husband can get up and feed her? We also don't have a separate room for her right now so all three of us are together at night and I'm not sure if us being up is also keeping her awake but I don't know what to do about that. My husband gets home between 4-6 and I can't force him to come home and immediately go to bed. I feel like I barely get to spend time with him as it is and with all the sleeping issues I'm literally going to be alone 98% of my day.
Yes I've bought a lottery ticket
This might be a dumb question and also I feel I'm having major pregnancy brain at this time, but just wanted clarification on the term.
INTRODUCTION: Milk buckets are a thing. Now, i propose to add bottles of milk, which wouldn't work the same.
INVENTORY: They would be stackable, like honey bottles, but 6 would be the maximum amount per slot.
USE: Like milk buckets, they'd work on every effect (no matter if positive or negative), but, unlike them, they'd be stackable, which would make them useful. Unlike a bucket, a bottle would have less milk, obviously: instead of removing every effect on the player, it would halven the duration of every effect on the player.
OBTAINING: It would be obtainable by putting a milk bucket in a crafting table (or in the inventory crafting space) and 3 empty bottles around (no matter where in particular). This recipe would return 3 milk bottles and would leave an empty bucket in the crafting space.
For that copyright thing in the comments, i give my consensus to using this idea for the game. Like, is it even an actual thing or did some commenter come up with the idea of telling people a lie to make them pass through the pain of posting ideas on the official site?
Convinced my MB and DB were like, βThere is not a single thought floating around inside that headβ as soon as I walked out the door, which is entirely true, but still - tell me how would you have made the damn bottle!!!
(Will tag this as a funny moment to make myself feel better. π Will also add context after I change into comfy clothes and pour myself a fat glass of wine.)
Both our twin boys have been drinking water from sippy cups for over a year.
Twin B has successfully moved to drinking his milk from the sippy cup. Twin A, however, has been resisting this transition. He's going on four days without milk. We've managed to get milk in him through oatmeal and dairy products, but we're wondering how long can he go without milk.
We've asked the pediatrician and they suggested for us to use "fun" sippy cups. We've tried:
Any advice on how to succeed here?
Hello all,
looking for any advice on what type of bottle has worked well for a breast fed baby? While I'm not at that stage yet family have started asking what stuff I'm going to use and I'm so overwhelmed by the options online. I want to hear from actual people if any have worked well. Also any breast pumps you would recommend.
Thank you all so much
Xx
I swear my flippant "oh, we don't need to ween him off the bottle, how many 5 year olds do you see with a bottle?!" is coming back to bite me.
Bromo Jr is 5 in a few months and he still has a bottle at night just before brushing teeth. It's like his cue for sleep and I'm loathe to get rid of it because he settles straight down - but my god, he shows no sign of giving this up and I thought it would happen naturally.
How do we break the habit now without too much drama? I don't want to just stop giving him a drink, that seems brutal and the milk isn't the issue, it's the vessel.
That whole "only start what you can continue" is starting to ring out for me, but damn, if I'd stayed breastfeeding he'd still be attached to my boob at night!
After purely breastfeeding for 6 weeks Iβm going back to work soon. I have bags of milk but Iβm not sure how many ounces baby eats from my breastβ¦. How many ounces does your 8 pound 6 week old eat each feeding??
Pretty recently around the 5 month mark our son went from finishing every bottle to becoming fussy almost every meal and not wanting to finish his milk. At that point we were at around 180ml per feed and increasing it beyond that seemed very difficult.
He had an appointment at the pediatrician about a week ago for his vaccines and when I brought it up they didn't seem concerned at all and said the amount we're feeding him per meal was good.
My guess is it's related to his teething. He'll drink well for the first half of the bottle, then around mid-way through he starts biting the nipple on either side and isn't interested in drinking anymore. We then take a small break and try to feed the rest in small amounts, maybe a few sips, then break and repeat. He'll sometimes finish the rest of the bottle and sometimes not.
My biggest concern is if he's getting enough milk and nutrients. We've introduced solids and I'm hopeful those are at least making up for the lost calories from the milk, but I also worry if he's getting the nutrients his body needs from solids (vs milk). We're doing pureed bananas for now, we tried sweet potato and he didn't like it, so we have carrots and avocado next.
We use Medela bottles and nipples. The medela nipples allow them to control the flow of milk, but I'm wondering if a fast flow nipple would be better to allow him to get more milk quicker so as to minimize his gum soreness. Does anyone have any suggestions for good fast flow nipples that fit Medela bottles?
Right now we're on about 180-200ml average every 4 hours or so. We'll fill up 200ml and sometimes he'll drink it all, and sometimes he'll leave about 20-30ml. Sometimes he leaves more and ends up drinking 150ml. His sleep schedule has also been really good and he's gotten into a routine the last few weeks; it's not uncommon for him to sleep through the night after his last milk around 8pm, and then I'll wake him up around 7am or so for his next milk.
Any advice?
LO just turned 11months. She is mostly EBF with the occasional bottle of pumped milk - maybe once or twice a week when my work schedule doesn't quite line up right. This week she has decided that bottles aren't acceptable! Nana tried, Dad tried and I tried but she wants it straight from the tap. Lunchtime today we tried giving her pumped milk straight from the fridge in her straw cup and that was fine, she drank it right up!
Do we just give her her milk in her straw cup or try and persist with the bottles. Husband suggested pumping and him giving her all her milk in bottles until she drank it but that seems like a lot of effort to me + I hate pumping!
Do we just accept she's done with bottles?
Any advice or anyone in a similar situation gratefully received.
Hi there! I have a 16 day old son, I was breastfeeding but have switched to exclusively pumping for my own sanity to get help with his feeds.
My son eats between 2-3 oz per feed. If I heat his bottle up and he doesnβt finish the full 3 oz in the bottle, what do I do with the leftovers if he doesnβt want to eat again in 2 hours? I have been giving him cold milk which he has been tolerating so I can be sure he drinks it all when he is ready, but I do have a bottle warmer I would like to try for him.
Thank you, and Iβm sorry if this is a dumb question! I am a first time mom and drowning in all the info about feeding my son
Question for EBF parents...
My supply has always been ok, like just enough for baby and maybe a 3-4oz bottle every day or two. He's gained weight right on track, but I'm concerned I'm not producing enough for him anymore. He's pushing 12 pounds and is 2.5 months. This morning my partner let me sleep a bit and gave baby a bottle of breastmilk... LO ended up eating 5.25 ounces via bottle.
When I pump (I pump if he gets a bottle feeding) I only get about 3-4 ounces total, sometimes more but usually not. LO also cluster fed alllll night last night, every 60-90 min, so I couldn't believe he still ate so much from the bottle this morning.
He does act full after nursing...sleepy, relaxed, not fussy, hands relaxed, etc.
Does this mean he's not getting enough from me, or do they just chug from bottles? I just got over mastitis and I'm worried my supply took a permanent hit.
He is fantastic at drinking water from many different styles of bottle but for the life of me he will only sip the tiniest bit of milk from any reservoir and then just leave it...still at the stage where if given an open cup or cup and straw finds it hilarious to let it dribble down his chin..do I just need to persevere or any hot tips...thanking u in advance from down under
To preface-
15 month old She HAS to have her bottle and her lovey (burp rag) when going down for nap/bed time. We do milk and the brand Ripple milk. Itβs more pea protein and other sources of vitamins and minerals than just dairy.
Also, everyoneβs babies are different and what works for one, doesnβt always work for another. Some babies have their bottle until theyβre two and we just have to deal/work with it. - Things Iβm being told.
!!!!Our main issue is nap/bed time. She drinks milk to fall asleep!!!!
When she gets ready for sleep and gets fussy, thereβs no stopping her from getting that bottle. Weβve tried putting the milk in the supply/ straw cups (she watches so she knows what it is) and she wonβt drink the milk from there. Iβll poor that milk in her bottle and sheβs as happy as a clam! We put water and whatever else in her bottle and she does not care, itβs the bottle and nipple she wants. She weaned herself from nursing at 7 months and everything else has been a smooth transition.
How do I get her off the bottle/nipple/ wanting bottle to sleep?
Is Muscle Milk vegan...I know Nestle also makes Evolve which is marketed as a Vegan option but I wanted to know about Muscle Milk
