Right now, Talisay is pretty much the epitome of stupidity. While we're not as densely populated as say, Antipolo, no one here is taking things seriously.
We do have a curfew (5am-7pm is the time we're allowed to leave the house), yet no one ever follows it properly. I've heard my neighbours leave their houses at 2-4 in the morning thinking they wouldn't get caught. There are still people drinking and loitering around on the streets, without a care about social distancing. Many people don't wear masks.
At least they're giving out supplies in my zone (so far it's only been kgs of rice and fish) and the neighbours are really nice (someone gave us around 30 packets of instant noodles and a dozen of eggs), but other than that, everyone is acting like they won't be affected. This especially applies to the older people near my apartment who I keep seeing outside, even when they're at a very big risk.
Some people are coming up wih stupid theories for it, too. I overheard people saying that Covid was created by the yellows to get revenge, as well as my own mother firmly believing that Covid was created to end humanity. Sometimes, I hate this country, if I'm honest.
Is there any other place that's like this right now? I'm wondering.
