A list of puns related to "Austin Rivers"
> If it werenβt for all the extra testing that James and Co. had been forced into, the double-vaxxed Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers might have been Patient Zero in another outbreak. Between games in Miami and Orlando three weeks ago, Rivers tested positive. βItβs hard to tell guys who are single just to be at home alone,β Rivers tells Rolling Stone. All of a sudden, he was doing just that at his mansion in nearby Winter Park, as body aches, headaches, and chills revealed themselves. > > Rivers, too, was just about to get boosted. As a family man with his teamβs lone case, though, he wasnβt about to scold teammates or friends around the league. The smartest people in the world were encouraging vaccination on CNN at the Nuggets practice facility. And the anti-vax ignorance in the comments of his Instagram posts wasnβt worth the time. βTrump just got a booster shot,β Rivers says, βand heβs the epitome of that whole group of people who just think in their own way.β > > Rivers rolls his eyes when he hears conspiracy theories in the locker room β βfucking wild theoriesβ: the one about Moderna mind control again, and then the fake news about Joe Biden and Big Pharma in bed with the Illuminati for millions. > > βItβs all for money,β Rivers recalls hearing a fellow player say. > > βHowβs it for money? Itβs fucking free!β > > This week, conversation in team group chats and delayed charter flights has turned to outbreak theories: βA lot of people just believe theyβre trying to get through the Christmas games β thatβs a big day for the NBA, a lotta money there β and after that no one knows whatβs going to happen,β Rivers tells RS. There is talk of a month-long break. Of another bubble, even though that wonβt happen. Of banning fans from arenas and locking players in their hotel rooms on the road. There is talk of standardized testing β perhaps twice daily β and that is something Rivers can get behind. > > βThatβs why this is getting out of hand: Weβre not testing. We donβt even know who has it! I donβt even know if anybody on our team has it right now,β Rivers says. βEven if itβs annoying and guys gotta come back twice a day β and everybodyβs gonna do it, because at the end of the day, everybody wants to get paid. Everyone wants to play.β
Context:
Warriors commentators mock Facundo Campazzo with an accent, and suggest Austin Rivers got a big contract with the Clippers because his dad was the coach.
Austin Rivers: >Think this kinda funny.. especially since it's coming from a guy who has never played a game of basketball in his life. His comments on myself and my teammate Facu were beyond disrespectful. I averaged 11ppg, 12ppg, then 16ppg of the bench for a loaded clippers team. While being a two way player... yet he called me overpaid?? Do u know how many guys in league made more than me while not doing half as much!?!? And still do now! But because my last name, it's an easy diss and cop out. For sure unprofessional.
βGolden State looks very solid right now," Rivers said. "I hate to see it. I donβt like it one bit. Iβm tired of that f--king teamβ¦ they got a good mix of young talent, good vetsβ¦ A lot of you Warriors fans was off [Andrew] Wiggins when he first signed with the Warriors, keep it 100. Last year you all was talking about βtrade him, this and thatβ now everybody is talking all highly. Come on now.β https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/warriors/nuggets-austin-rivers-goes-nsfw-warriors-andrew-wiggins-rant
>Austin Rivers on his IG live right now: "You should've seen the Nets team that we were playing tonight. Patty Mills, Blake Griffin, Cam Thomas were the only ones we knew."
>"I was guarding anonymous" ... Lol. Austin's going off.
>[Wojnarowski] The Denver-Brooklyn game today has been postponed, sources tell ESPN.
Austin Rivers with 25/1/1 and a game high + 15 as the Nuggets beat the short handed Nets and move to 26-21. Monster game by Austin as Denver moves closer to the 5th seed.

"Here is my issue with the old timers when they shit on us saying we couldn't play in their era..I would say this and I don't think this is a hot take..most nba players in today's era could play in any era in the NBA..most NBA players from the 50s, 60s, early 70s could not play in today's NBA. I think that's reality. Offcourse you have Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain..the top ten or so players from that era but the talent from 1 to 450 is through the roof"
"Kevin Love is better than 99% of the power forwards on that list (referring to top 75 list)"

"I don't want to be that guy in 10 or 20 years from now who is shitting on players in 2044..I recognize the game always evolves. I watch these highlight tapes of kids that are like 12 and their handles are Kyrie's handles and they are hitting step back threes and I'm like the game in 10-20 years will look completely different, the skillsets will look completely different..and guess what..they will be better than we were..that's just reality. That's how the game works..it evolves..it gets better"
All three have similar physical characteristics (height, weight, wingspan, etc.) and were great shooters coming out of college. Fredette is 6'3", 195lbs. Rivers is 6'4", 200lbs. Herro is 6'5", 195lbs.
There were many predictions by numerous analysts for how these players would turn out at the next level, and majority of them pointed towards 'solid NBA role-player'. The biggest knock on each of these individuals was their lack of wingspan and the lack of an NBA-ready body.
As you all know, Jimmy Fredette never really panned out to become a serviceable NBA player. His highest scoring season was his rookie year, in which he averaged 7.6ppg on 38% shooting.
Austin Rivers, thus far, has had only a few seasons of serviceable-level play, and has been largely inconsistent otherwise.
Herro on the other hand, has had a great first 2 years in the league, averaging 13ppg his first season followed by 15ppg in his second. Now in his third season, Tyler is averaging close to 22ppg on 46% shooting, and looks primed to become at least an all-star level talent down the road (he is only 21).
Why do you think a player like Tyler Herro has been able to find success, but guys like Austin Rivers and Jimmer Freddete (who had similar builds and skills coming out of college) could not? Is it the work ethic? Is it the mentality? Is it because Herro was drafted by a much more prestigious organization (Miami) than the teams that drafted Austin (New Orleans) and Jimmer (Sacramento)?
What separates Herro from the Rivers and Fredettes? What do you guys think?

That was awesome. Donβt miss him but I appreciate the good times we had!
I would like to find a couple of motivated musicians to jam, gig, and record with on a regular. End goal is to write, record, and release a few songs in the next few months! I have a badass place on the river and an extra room for someone interested in a music incubator type situation. (Live and make music in the house).
I am an experience vocalist and I decently play keys and guitar. Psychedelic, pop, funk, & soul are my sweet spots, but I am flexible, stylistically.
If interested, shoot me a comment or message and/or a short clip of you playing anything! All experience levels welcome. Ready to get this project underway :)

Lol Austin tired of moving
Seems like Austin Rivers is also unhappy about Joker not getting a Christmas Day game despite being MVP (the first reigning MVP to not get one since the Christmas day games were reduced to 5 according to this post) and took to the comments to support his teammate.

Was just browsing my feed tonight and saw a RT from Austin Rivers and got curious.
I give him props for being honest
