Hello all! I'm designing a 14th century Holy Roman Empire game for Hunter and, for my sanity, am dividing the empire into different general regions with notes for the unique things going on in each: Germany, Austria, Bohemia, Moravia, Switzerland, Northern Italy, Belgium, Arles, and The Netherlands.
However, I've run into a bit of a hitch with the Kingdom of Arles. Based on my research, at this point in history most of Arles was part of the HRE in name only and heavily influenced by France. Aside from it containing Avignon, though, I'm having a very hard time finding information about what life was actually like in the Kingdom, as well as any interesting historical events or folklore to help inspire interesting hooks in the region. Anyone who's a medieval history buff and/or familiar with this region now (this would be modern day Burgundy in France I think), any potential ideas or leads would be much appreciated!
