If you like how Captain America: The Winter Soldier(2014) subverts political thriller movies, I'd recommend checking out Argo(2012). It did a similar thing with political thriller films but was ahead of its time. With so many political thriller out now, it seems more relevant than ever. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arg…

I’m Roland Emmerich, director of Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, and my newest upcoming sci-fi/action film Moonfall. AMA!

Born and raised in Germany, I originally went to film school wanting to be a production designer before switching to directing. My first feature film, The Noah’s Ark Principle, was my final thesis. I have since had the opportunity to direct Stargate, Independence Day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012 and most recently Midway. I’ve worked with some incredible acting talent along the way. My newest film, Moonfall, stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson and John Bradley - in theaters February 4th!

Any fans of Sinister (2012) with Ethan Hawke & Vincent D'Onofrio? What did you think of this film?

One of my favorite horror films, I never get tired of rewatching it, it's always fun to see others watching this film for the first time too lol, the opening scene always gets them. I remember watching this film & feeling so uneasy during the scenes where Hawke's character is watching the films, the twists in this film especially near the end completely floored me, I didn't see it coming & it left me speechless.

This film had a nice cast of actors with Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Juliet Rylance, James Ransone and the late Fred Dalton Thompson, a really intriguing premise & the Super 8 footage was deeply unsettling IMHO, the opening scene is something that I will always remember from this film, as well as the ending. I have yet to see the sequel but I've heard some mixed things about it, still plan on checking it out one day though. What did you think of this film? Which Super 8 film footage was the most disturbing or creepiest to you? For me: >!Hanging Out, the Pool Party & the BBQ 79 were really eerie, especially how the latter one sounded, the music in that last one gave me chills, the children looked so creepy.!<

The Hunt (Jagten) (2012) starring Mads Mikkelsen is one of the most profound films I've ever watched.

Seriously, I just saw it for the second time and needed to recommend it here, because the subject matter is incredibly powerful and thought-provoking.

A young girl tells a lie about a man, leading her caretakers to believe he sexually abused her, and the tight-knit community this man lives among slowly turns against him. I found it a really good character study, and a good commentary on how unsubstantiated rumours can circulate and have lasting impacts on every aspect of a person's life, especially if they live in small communities where everyone knows everyone else. And the thing is, you feel for every person in the movie, in a different way. You understand the anger some of them are feeling. Yet, you also want to shake the screen and go, "stop, enough already". I've seldom wanted to step into a movie so much and attempt to fix a situation like this one.

It's a slow burn, and the original language is Danish, but I'd highly recommend it if you enjoy movies that really hit you and elicit a visceral response.

Lost Media (?): Suche Film ΓΌber GewaltprΓ€vention (Anti-Bullying) - gezeigt an Hauptschulen zwischen 2004 - 2012

Liebes Schwarmwissen!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-ZYZsN6qR8

Kann sich jemand von euch an den Film erinnern? Gibt es vielleicht jemand, der eine Kopie hat? :D

Danke!

[TOMT][movie][2012-2014] teen movie it could be an indie film

So i dont know if this movie was in English or in a foreign language, bc a the time my English wasn’t that great and I thought British accent was another language lol. Its about teenagers group of friends who enter people houses to steal & destroy it i think they were gang or homeless teenagers, who will play with knives and then they will get into a serious fight with each other they were a troubled teenager basically. except there is one girls who went to the master bedroom and played dress up it looked like she was fanatasizing about it. it turn out it’s actually her house and she knew that her weren’t there. It reveal that she is pregnant and ran away, and her neighbor who also she had a relationship with and he was like where were you all this time something like that. Her friends were surprised bc they didn’t knew she was pregnant until she gave birth. The whole setting of the movie was in the house.

I just finished watching Chained (2012.) this movie, made me uncomfortable at a lot of points, but my goodness what a film.

Its starring Vincent D'Onofrio, as a taxi driver but it appears his real occupation is far more sinister. The concept is a mother and her 9 year old child Tim get dropped off by their husband at the movies, once done they get done they get a cab to go home. Upon realizing something is wrong, its far too late. From a decade long journey this movie gets violent, depressing, and ends with an ending that I for sure wasn't expecting.

Vincent is terrific in this film, his character is a very fucked up individual as you will soon find out. Its watchable on Amazon Prime, highly recommend it. I was just looking for a random movie to watch and I honestly couldn't put this down.
