A list of puns related to "Architectural Association School of Architecture"
It's a multistep process with its many ups and downs.
I was given the option between Architectural design (4 year) and Architecture (5 year licensure), which I didn't really understand so i chose the second option. The second thing i was confused about were the degree selection, which were BARCH Architecture and PEUG Architecture. If anyone could explain these to me i appreciate it alot thank you!
Iβm an architecture professor and Iβm trying to make my students think outside the box and stimulate design thinking and problem based learning.
What are some of the dynamics your architecture professors implemented when you were still in school?
Yo
As a MD resident I really do not like this college but will likely go here due to the costs of tuition, with that said how good are the architecture/urban design/planning courses within the specific designated school? Is it fun or easy?
As the title communicates, my HOA has sent me a Violation letter and taken a picture of my property flying the American Flag and the California republic flag, noting that any additions require approval. Under CA civil code 4705, they cannot construe to limit my right to fly the American Flag. Isnβt the application for approval construing that? They keep telling me itβs about the pole and not the flag, and I get it but I wouldnβt be displaying the flag without the means of the pole... Have I interpreted the code incorrectly?
edit: thank you all for replying!! iβve decided to drop out and do computer science since i enjoyed it in high school, and while my parents arenβt happy about it, theyβre supportive and agree that ultimately itβs my future, and theyβll pay for my tuition as much as they can. i also wanted to note that i came into architecture pretty blind knowing nothing about the amount of commitment needed, and i genuinely donβt think i can do this for four more years.
Iβm currently a third semester architecture student and iβve given up.
Choosing architecture was my own decision since I wanted a fun(?) degree but the college I study in isnβt my favourite. My parents actually applied here for me and I only got to know the day I got admission. I said yes to the college because the tuition fee is super cheap, itβs a highly reputed college and I would get a placement 100% and I didnβt really have a backup plan if i rejected it either.
My classes have been online for the past two semesters and they started regular classes last month. I couldnβt take the workload and frankly unrealistic deadlines and begged my parents to let me drop out since the end of first semester. They pacified me for a while saying that it could get better and itβs only hard because itβs online and I agreed.
This past month has been hell for me. The professors donβt teach anything that i think is essential (like how to make a plan or design your space), and I have to google every aspect of designing. Theyβre even stricter with the deadlines and donβt explain our assignments prior, and weβll have to redo them every single time.
On top of that we have to take on extra work for competitions every month (which the professors will not help with at all) if we want to even apply for internships. Side note, these competitions are part of the syllabus for other architecture colleges while itβs not part of ours, and the professors donβt grant us deadline extensions.
I applied to another university for another major without my parents knowing and I got in, but the tuition fee itself is around 8x what Iβm paying now. Then thereβs admission, transport and other charges that add up. I feel really guilty about asking my parents but I want to change majors so bad.
I had planned to take up jobs and help pay but I still feel I wouldnβt be able to contribute to much. I also donβt know much about student loans so Iβm a bit skeptical about them.
So, thoughts? Am I being lazy and irresponsible with work and t

And what do you think of it personally?
Is it 'controversial,or does everyone have much the same opinion about it?
Hello! I was recently accepted into UVA and Iβm really excited. In my common app I indicated that I wanted to study Urban and environmental planning in the School of Architecture. Am I already in the school or do I also need to apply at the campus this coming fall again?
If not what are some schools would you recommend? Are arc eng degrees worth it if you do it in Europe?
