I've been posting periodically of my wide-cast net attempt at figuring out how adult diagnosis works in Hungary. There still remains steps to figure out, so I do not feel confident posting into the Diagnostic Resources thread, yet.
From my university's "Equal Opportunity Office", I approached the lady specialising in autism, and I also approached the university counsellor.
Both of them referred me to Autizmus AlapΓtvΓ‘ny at https://www.autizmus.hu/ambulancia.
Autizmus AlapitvΓ‘ny/Autism Foundation appears to be a semi-private, semi-social healthcare service running on a combination of charity and funding. This means that if you can afford to, they ask for a donation of 50 000 HUF. If you can really afford to, you can pay 135 000 HUF for accelerated wait list, but they guarantee at least 1 examination within 3 months. If you cannot pay, then they'll use funding from external charity, and those who paid 135K to cover your needs.
For adult diagnosis, they require one ask a guardian (parent ideally) to fill out a 47 page questionnaire about childhood traits. This is naturally an issue for those of us seeking adult assessment, as the reason for some of our delays are parental hostility to this idea.
As such, I intend to write them an e-mail inquiring what one can do if their parents are hostile to almost any medical science (including and especially "labels"), and due to moving multiple times... One cannot recall the name of the kindergarten they had first attended (and how likely is it for someone at 24 yo to still find the same pedagoges working there?)
If I get this line resolved, I shall post into the Diagnostic Resources thread.
Beyond this, the counsellor had referred me to the Semmelweis University's psychology and psychiatry clinic, and there in specific dr. Szuromi BΓ‘lint Γ©s dr. Farkas Kinga. To obtain an appointment there, one requires a referral from their GP.
I am uncertain how possible this is for me, as my own GP is... friendly with my mother and doesn't understand privacy well.
I shall post these two people's names though, with the caveat that I have no experience with them.
Overall, both individuals I approached at my university (Counsellor & Autism Equal Opportunity Specialist) were very understanding and in-the know about the possibility that autism may go undiagnosed for various reasons.
