It's so heartfelt and personal. The drum patterns in the second half are impossible to follow but they sound so good. Kevin really poured his heart out into this song... The first half talks about how badly his dad messed him up, and the second about how badly he misses him. This song hit me hard.

Omen of the Ten released in September of 2018 on the heels of the rotation of Wonderland Dreams. Meta decks of this era included: Elephant/Control Forest, Chimera Rune, Ramp Dragon, PDK Dragon, Mid/Arthur Sword, Arcus Shadow, OBK Blood, Darkfeast Bat Blood, Summit Haven, and Orchis/Puppet Portal.
In lieu of new mechanics, Omen introduced brand new characters unique to Shadowverse in the form of the Omens. Each class had its own Omen/Leader with a powerful build-around mechanic, and supporting class cards that were supposed to emphasize each class's devotion to one of the Omens (which loosely corresponded to the classical seven deadly sins, or Godly laments). Some of these accomplished this very well, while other struggled to find relevance through the entire lifespan of the set.
The two most influential cards in Omen of the Ten were the two neutral legendaries: Gilnelise, Omen of Craving, and Mjerrabaine, Omen of One. Mjerrabaine, or "Jerry", spawned an entire kaleidoscope of decks looking to abuse his extremely powerful (if cheesey) effect in various classes, given the restriction of no more than 1 copy of any card in the deck other than Jerry himself. Gilnelise became the go-to 7-drop for just about any deck that wanted to be aggro, or set up a strong late game push.

Synopsis:
Neutral by itself did not lend itself any largely impactful mechanics. However Goblin fighter would prove to be an important filler 2-drop for many aggro decks looking to maintain tempo and keep up cards in hand. Lyrial would appear briefly as tech to Chimera and Mysteria decks, and Cravings splendor would pop in and out of decks as techy removal -- only shining most recently just before its rotation. Mjerrabaine, was probably the most interesting card of the neutrals given his deck warping restriction and incredibly powerful snowball effect. Just looking to gather some peoples opinions on this; I like Biggie, I have Ready to Die and Life After Death. The other day I wanted to listen to some Biggie and I realized I can’t even enjoy those albums anymore because they’re played out for me. I got to thinking and realized I’ve never even listened to Born Again, Duets, or The King & I, etc. I just wrote them off because they were posthumous and “didn’t count”. I know sometimes artists like Dilla, ODB, and Eazy-E have posthumous albums that are just label cashgrabs and aren’t even worth listening to. Is the posthumous Biggie stuff worth listening to or no? If they are decent, where should I start?
I have been on a mission to listen to every Frank Zappa album and I just yesterday got through the Yellow Shark. Today I was about to play Civilization Phaze III, but I stopped and thought, is it worth it? Should I listen to all the stuff made after he died or will it just wear me out cause it’s a lot of just scraps from his life? Are there albums that are really worth listening to? I’d love some help with this dilemma!
This song is perfect. I can’t get over it. I am so fucking stoked for this album. I can’t wait to listen to this god damn thing over and over for months. I am so grateful for this artist. The EP, Innerspeaker, Lonerism, and Currents, which helped me through a terribly hard place in my life (Currents that is). There is not one song that I don’t enjoy. He is the only artist for me that has accomplished this for me.
They collaborated more than any other collaboration X has done and all these posthumous projects and singles keep on missing these opportunities to the point where it seems it has to be intentional due to some bad blood we aren’t that aware of, or maybe they’re planning one final X and Ski project, but I highly doubt it. What is up with this?

I play the first minute or so on repeat, there isn't enough of it! I remember reading or watching somewhere that Kevin takes hundreds of vocal takes to get it to perfection and it's obvious in this song. Just wow, the nuances with the timing and the little trills. [MN] I know that an adult can adopt another adult, but what if the adoptee is deceased?
My biological parents divorced when I was 5 yo and my sister was 4 yo. Our biological father didn't pay child support and was not a dependable parent. He remarried and we have a half brother. Our mother remarried - we have a half sister and two step sisters. Both half siblings are 12-14 years younger than me.
My sister and I were adopted by our stepfather as teenagers without our consent. The court decree was entered the day after my sister turned 14 and I was 15 and a half: there was no guardian ad litem or a home study to evaluate our living situation.
Prior to our adoption by our stepfather he had had a heart attack and bypass surgery in his 30's; he and our mother were told to get their affairs in order, he wasn't expected to survive long term; our half sister was less than 2 yo.
The blending of the family did not go smoothly; my sister struggled with the dynamic of having to share her mom with two severely abused, neglected and traumatized stepsisters, their father/our stepfather wasn't a dependable parent to them either and didn't protect them from being sexually abused; and there was new baby sister who displaced her; my sister went to live with our father and stepmother for the school year - they lived in another state and didn't have a child yet. My sister visited for the summer and then returned to live with our father and stepmother. After a couple weeks our father told our mother he was sending her back permanently - with no explanation. My sister was devastated by the rejection.
Our stepfather was a practicing alcoholic most of their marriage - now he's a dry drunk, my relationship with him has always been difficult, he is still living.
My sister was murdered at age 30 and left behind a child that our mother raised, who is now an adult. My stepfather didn't want to raise the child and only consented under threat of divorce. He didn't want me and my sister either. Their marriage was rocky and if he adopted us he would have to financially support us if they divorced.
My mother told us that she was worried about supporting us if our stepfather died and reasoned that if he adopted me and my sister she would get social security benefits, but I was almost 16 and she didn't adopt her stepdaughters - she created a story that seemed plausible.
Next my mother told my father that she was going to sue him for back child support if he didn't sign the adop

Anyways, I think that it's a real shame that most posthumous Peep music has been ignored by the old school fans and more noticed by the new fans. Of course new fans are more excited for stuff like Spotlight, fair enough, right? But since the Falling Down controversy back in August, I feel like everyone's straight up ignored a lot of Peep's new music that's been coming out. Everyone was so excited for COWYS2 and then it came out and since then... barely any people talk about it anymore. Least how I feel.

I think it's kind of intentional from a lot of fans since Columbia's involved. I feel like a lot of fans are just straight up convinced that Columbia is this weird, evil corporation set out to intentionally ruin the music. I'm not saying they're great or anything, this isn't a Columbia ad, but I definitely think they get a bit too much shit. They clearly gave Smoke and Liza creative freedom with COWYS2.
Appreciate the music because one day we're gonna be out, and that's gonna suck.
Hope this isn’t too lame to post: I lost my dad literally 3 days before Tame Impala released Posthumous Forgiveness; I remember that night seeing on YouTube that they put up a new song, it was like 3am and I couldn’t sleep so I listened to it and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. I sob hysterically every single time Kevin gets to the very last verse.
What Kevin shares about his dad reminds me so much of my relationship with my own...he had demons that ended his life, and I know he definitely passed some onto me and my siblings.
Anyway all this to say I’m more emotionally attached to that song and this new album than any other Tame Impala work & it feels like this album came into my life right as I needed it.
Edit: thank you guys for all your kind words and support, I genuinely didn’t expect all of that; not cuz I assumed y’all are jerks I just forget that people online are incredibly nice sometimes lol. I’m at a fragile time in my life rn & it’s great to know I not only have this album & this music, but also a community to be part of, so thank you all.
