After Life is the greatest TV series of all time in my view

It really has everything - humour, wit, class and intelligence. I can relate to it on an emotional and spiritual level and it often helps me get through bad days. The emotional intelligence and pathos of Ricky Gervais is just unbelievable and he cloaks it so elegantly with his subtle writing. And then there's the comedic genius in every line of dialogue. Also, just imagine the bravery of Ricky Gervais to openly come out as atheist - I truly must remember to thank him. Indeed Ricky has personally told me on Twitter I'm his greatest fan. Me and all my mates have watched every series countless times, and every scene makes us nearly wet ourselves with laughter every single time. That bit were Ricky calls that little shit "fat ginger cunt" truly pushes the boundary of comedy. And who cares about Stephen Mitchell? Lanky freak only inhibited Ricky's genius anyway - didn't contribute anything. The Office? More like the Bore-ice!

Anyway, this time last night with me mates we were all sat there watching episode 3 right, and my girlfriend suddenly noticed we were going through loads of bananas and that, lots of nuts flying about. Also I had gotten quite hairy and had my finger up my mates arse. Turns out me and my mates are a bunch of chimps and girlfriends kicked us out of the flat. Anway we can now watch as much After Life as we want outside Dixons with Dirty Agnes and her companions drinking Banana Daiquris. Cheers

[TOMT][Asian TV Series] Drama about a woman who gets a second chance at life after death but only if she gives up her love and more

-Either Korean or Taiwanese drama -Time period is probably 2010-2017 -One of the leads saves the other from near death (maybe a fire?) and visits them in the hospital -They end up falling in love and everything is going well but then they both nearly die in a car crash -The woman is in a limbo of sorts with an ethereal being who tells her she can save his life but he canโ€™t know her or something along those lines and she chooses for them to live and go back in time. -So the story goes back to nearly the beginning but another girl basically lives her life -The other woman is the one in the hospital who falls in love with the guy -The first woman has to painfully watch while the second woman gets all the things the first woman had before the wish was granted

I never finished it so I donโ€™t know the conclusion. I keep trying to Google it but none of the terms Iโ€™m using are working since there are a lot of common tropes and my memories of the show are so vague. I feel like there was some sort of show involved at the beginning as well? An art gallery or fashion show or concert of some sort? And the second woman is someone the first woman knows I think...either sister, friend, coworker, or maybe even rival/enemy?

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

[TOMT][TV SHOW] crime drama series with episode about dude with rare condition that let him come back to life after death

I'm looking for this (popular? ) crime drama series, i watched a particular episode on fox and that's all i can remember it by. The episode was about this dude that wouldn't die, it started out with them investigating his supposed death at his "corpse" location, next thing the dude springs up like he was in a deep sleep to the shock of the investigators and the paramedics that had presumed him dead, a couple days later they're trying to figure out what happened and they get news that he's dead for real this time, they go to investigate that, see he has no pulse, about to close things out, then he's back to life, again, minutes later, this goes on for a few more days, was basically the plot of that whole episode.

pretty interesting episode, had me hooked but I couldn't finish it.

It's should be pretty popular and i feel like anyone who watches crime shows would definitely know it, i hope the episode description is of help :(

Every TV Series or Movie has a dumb frustrating character, 'Matt' is for After Life

It makes me so angry to see a dumb character like Matt. Every TV series or movie has this kind of character and it just makes me furious.

Matt in After Life is this loser guy who somehow managed to become the head of a local newspaper company that is constantly losing money, obviously. He lacks all the qualities of a leader and is miserable is personal and social life as well. He keeps visiting his jerk therapist even after known that he is an arshole, and keeps paying him even though he himself is bankrupt. You can just pity this character.

If this is a resemblance of character in real life, I feel sorry for him. Get your shit together, mate.

Anyone think that Lucas came after season 9 to get the Raven Tv series corrected. Because i feel like Julian making the last shot, don't justifies his hard life.

Maybe they returned when they brought Jamie and Lydia. Later on, maybe Lucas rewrited the script and add Julian as a background actor maybe merging him and jake. Also Lucas needed the trip because he was failing his books and maybe his journey with Peyton and Sawyer was the thing he needed for his success.

Now that after years and years of being depressed without getting the proper help, and being under meds at the moment, I really enjoy this series. It makes me cry and laugh at the same time. And for some reason I feel good and helpful when I watch it, maybe because I can absolutely relate to it?

[TOMT][TV Series] Scifi TV Series, where deceased(?) people wake up on a shoreline, there are grey spires or tall structures that dispense clothes on this after-life alien world.

I am struggling to remember the name of this series I watched many years ago. Basically, from what I remember, I think it was sort of like an afterlife where people died and were transported to some alien world with these grey spires all over the place that clothes, etc were dispensed from, I can't remember much more. I think there was also a non-human among them who died on another world and was transported, with the humans, as it died at the same time as the humans at the beginning of the series.

I have punched a few of the keywords into google but apart from Riverworld which is not what I am thinking of nothing comes up.

[TOMT] Mid 70s British BBC TV series along the lines of life after an apocalypse

Hey everyone, So I'm trying to find this series for my dad, who used to watch it when he lived in England. From what he's told me about it it may or may not be post apocalyptic but it's very much along those lines, like the human population might have died off from a disease of some kind, or something like that. Basically however the story revolves around a group of people who have to start from scratch: they don't have electricity or any other modern day conveniences. He said the main set or a particularly important one in the series is an old castle. We were watching the Walking Dead one day, when they're in the prison in season 3 or 4, and that's what made him think of this other series.

It might be called 'survival', 'apocalypse', or something along those lines. If I have a couple of titles to throw his way when I call him next it might jog his memory. Thanks!

The TV Show Series, โ€œAnd Just Like Thatโ€ฆโ€

I just saw the first three episodes of the series and Iโ€™m like hmmโ€ฆ

SPOILERS AHEAD

I donโ€™t know how I feel about it. Iโ€™ve been hearing a lot about this show from my friends. Especially how Carrie could have saved Big by calling 911. I admit that instead of hugging him and crying, she could have called 911.

The scene where Miranda said she stepped on her sonโ€™s used condom irked me. Carrie offers a silver lining that he was using protection. Let me just clarify that this is not a silver lining, itโ€™s a basic standard. I definitely think that Brady (an underaged minor) having sex with his girlfriend is beyond inappropriate and glorifies teen sex. I think the scene was borderline pedophilic after discovering how old he was supposed to be in this series. This series tries to be sex positive by normalizing the idea that itโ€™s okay to have sex in your parents home. In my perspective, it doesnโ€™t sit well with me when my parents or his parents know that weโ€™re having sex at any age in life. ๐Ÿคฎ I donโ€™t mind dating guys who live with their parents, but sex and staying over is off the table if it involves staying with either parentโ€™s house. You have to have your own place if you want to engage in that kind of activity. I donโ€™t care if your parents are โ€œcool with itโ€ or if rent/housing prices are too high; figure it out. Call me a prude, I donโ€™t care, but sex is a private thing and your parents should not know about your sexual activity.

When Miranda caught Brady smoking weed, she said โ€œno Luisa (Bradyโ€™s girlfriend)for a weekโ€ , it was as if Luisa was not a person, and it sounded like Miranda was taking away his toys. She doesnโ€™t see Luisa as a person, and I find it problematic.
