A list of puns related to "Affordable Space Adventures"
I love seeing your successes but treat them as such
Be honest about it. โI worked hard for this and I wanted to share itโ is more appropriate and inspiring!
Posting โmy small apartmentโ and itโs definitely not small and has fittings and decor worth more than the average property price, Is a humble brag. Own your success.
Iโd also love to see more posts of male living spaces that are more affordable and realistic.
Otherwise this sub will become elitist and only appeal to the higher earning more affluent members of society.
Edit; this post is incredibly decisive. So far people have
Assumed Iโm โyoungโ and โimmatureโ
Told me to โget a jobโ assuming I donโt have one
Called me โjealousโ
All because I mentioned that I love seeing success and find inspirational but to not humble brag and own and be proud of it! And.. not instead ofโฆ I said and to have more posts of affordable living spaces (affordable doesnโt mean ugly or uncreative or uninspired)

This game is a solid 8 out of 10 for me, but the really notable thing about this game is how it embodies more than any other game the revolutionary potential of the Wii U gamepad.
Before delving into that, a quick primer on the game itself. The game has no story to speak of. This is one of the main drawbacks and why I can't rate it higher. All you need to know is you're in a space ship and have to travel from one area/level to the next. At its core, this is a puzzle solving game. Each level will require you to use the various abilities of your space ship in creative ways to sneak past the enemy ships and trigger various buttons to open passages to the next level. It is a completely linear progression where you need to solve one level in exactly the way you're supposed to go to the next.
BUT... the puzzle elements are exceedingly well done and the game is all around the perfect blend of challenge and fun. Where the game truly shines is utilizing the Wii U gamepad to its fullest potential. More so than any other game on the Wii U -- even first party titles. It is truly unique in how inseparable the game and the gamepad are.
When playing the game, the gamepad screen shows a control pad which you can trigger to control various aspects of your ship -- engine power, landing gear, sensors, etc. The thumb sticks are used to maneuver the ship and the gyroscope in the gamepad is also needed at points to tweak your ships orientation. There are also countless little tweaks that really make the gamepad shine -- different audio is sent out from the gamepad versus what the main game outputs to your stereo/TV. Also, when your ship is shot down or destroyed the control panel shown on the gamepad will flicker and glitch its way to black. This can really freak you out when you get immersed.
I would not be surprised if this game never comes to cemu or other emulators/platforms in a way in which it is playable by a single person. It is so tied to the gamepad DNA that it's difficult to see how it could ever be playable anywhere else. At a minimum, you would need an emulator that is capable of sending a clickable version of the gamepad video to some secondary screen. So maybe if you had 2 displays and used a mouse to click on the second one. But that could not hope to capture the tactile intensity of playing this game as it was designed. Truly replicating that would require being able to network 2 Nintendo Switches (or a PC and a tablet that had thumbstick attachments on eit
... keep reading on reddit โกI know a lot of folks are picking up the last few WiiU titles on their list before the Switch arrives, I would hate for anyone to miss out on Affordable Space Adventures because it's an eShop exclusive.
If you've never heard of it, it's a puzzle adventure for 1 to 3 players. The gamepad becomes the ship's control panel, and one player mans the controls (landing gear, exhaust ports, etc) while another player uses a wiimote/pro controller to steer the ship. This is the exact sort of asymmetrical gameplay that can only be done on the WiiU.
My wife and I played through it last Memorial Day weekend and we had a blast. The game is extremely stylized, and everything down to the loading screen is designed to immerse you in the world. The tension and difficulty escalate smoothly, but you will need to communicate and cooperate with your shipmate(s) if you want to survive.
There's also apparently a free DLC with more challenging levels, which I didn't know about until five minutes ago. Looks like I'll need to play through it again.

I am by nature not into digital only games and try to avoid them, but keep hearing that Affordable Space Adventures is a good game with unique gamepad features.
Is it any fun?
Buy now, wait for sales or forget about it?
Who we are:
Iโm Lau Korsgaard (/u/EnButtetSkude), Game Designer at KnapNok Games, an indie studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark, where we are currently finishing our game Affordable Space Adventures. Our previous game Spin the Bottle: Bumpieโs Party got some attention for using the Wii U Gamepad in new ways.
I wonโt be doing this alone, however. I have Nicklas Nygren (/u/NicklasNygren), from Nifflasโ Games, our Game Director, and Anchel Labena (/u/Anchelspain), PR guy, joining me for the ride. Nicklas in particular also worked on another game you can find on the Wii U eShop right now: Knytt Underground.

In our collaboration between the two companies, KnapNok Games brings its experience with new ways of controlling games and getting players to interact with each other, whereas Nicklas takes his signature immersive worlds and quirky storytelling into the mix to create Affordable Space Adventures.

... keep reading on reddit โกSo as you may or may not know, Humble Bundle is having a sale right now for Nintendo's Wii U and 3DS.
Seeing a few games I was interested in, I payed $13 and got everything. What really peaked my interest, however, was Affordable Space Adventure.
I had no clue what it was based on the title, but it sounded cute and I wanted to give it a shot.
As soon as the game started, however, I immediately assumed it was a horror game. The music, atmosphere and darkness scale all told me it was not some cutsey prance through the space country side.
Luckily I started it with two other friends who manned the other controls to make it easier on me.
While my suspicions were confirmed as we finally took control of our Small Craftโข my friends and I had a blast coordinating with each other and trying to solve the puzzles together. It's a great co-op experience and I'd actually hate to play the game alone.
In one sitting we made it up to the first area with teleporters.
Being the system operator is a heavy burden because you have to relay much more information to your other two partners. There's a lot going on between the gamepad and the TV, but your partners only know half on their own.
It's asymmetric gameplay at its best. I love working together with my friends to solve puzzles and knowing more than them makes it more interesting.
There were some points they attempted to do a stunt without my knowledge or go-ahead and ended up killing us. The coordination is necessary and fun too!
If you have the money and down time, I highly recommend this game. It's a lot of fun and a fantastic way to work with your friends to solve puzzles and work together.
They're in a humble bundle and I know noone with a Wii U, I got the bundle for the 3DS codes.
Best joke wins I guess?
Hey there everyone! Anchel from KnapNok Games here :)
Normally I wouldn't post a news update here (usually someone else posts some news about the game instead), but since I've been engaging with the /r/WiiU community here for a while (even before I started working at KnapNok) I thought I'd leave this message for all of you and see what you thought about it. Plus, you guys are awesome and I wanted to give it to you myself :D
So, let's get straight to the point: we're going to release a free update for Affordable Space Adventures that will bring some new levels for the game!
The new update will come after the Summer, and it will add 5 new extra difficult levels to the mix. If you played through the entire game and wanted more puzzles that made you think harder on how you need to tweak the Small Craft's systems in order to get through, then this is definitely for you! These levels contain ideas that we never found room for in the final version of the game, but we want to make sure that they are polished enough that they have their own unique feel. You might even find some features of the Small Craft that you didn't even know were possible to begin with ;-)
Oh, and thanks to the community (especially on Miiverse - seriously, the comments there have been amazing!) we've been taking note of every bug or little issue players found - one of them even has an official name given by a Miiverse user, who called it the "Interstellar Glitch" because of the way your ship ends up flying right into the gamepad's UI after flying through the darkness. So we're fixing and polishing even more, and we have many of you to thank for this.
And... what's in store afterwards? Well, we want to make a much bigger update in the future. Not just new levels, but an entirely new chapter of the Uexplore story. This will be a paid DLC update, but it probably won't be ready until 2016, since we really want this new content to be great.
Finally, I wanted to leave you all with our new "Atmospheric Trailer", with some of the best quotes we've received from the press: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWxDxX3fhNI
Alright, comments are welcome, everyone! :D
Hey folks, bought the Friends of Nintendo Humble Bundle, but really only wanted to play Shantae. I also discovered a few indie games that I never redeemed from a Humble Bundle awhile back, so going to get rid of those too. Here's the full list...
To enter, all you need to do is...
Post which game you want. ^^Only ^^one ^^per ^^person.
Your favorite song. ^^And ^^why.
I'll pick winners sometime this week!
P.S.
I post in a hella lot of music subs, so I'm purposely posting through my alternate. I don't want anyone diving through my history trying to honeydick me musically. I want your favorite song, not mine.
/u/MickeyMcPeas
EDIT
Congrats to /u/MiniMinute, /u/whitepokefrost, and /u/NeonDinosGoMeow!
I'll decide winners for Retro City Rampage DX, Affordable Space Adventures, and Intrusion 2 throughout the day. Thanks to everyone that participated / is participating.
Now I can't speak for the rest of the Friends of Nintendo Humble Bundle as I didn't play them yet, but not only are these games very fun, they make smart use of the gamepad that we don't see very often (even from Nintendo).
When Nintendo was advertising games like ZombiU, Rayman Legends and NintendoLand this is the kind of thing they were trying to promote. Sadly it didn't gain traction and even Nintendo walked away from meaningful game-pad integration shortly after.
So for anyone who didn't get the bundle yet, you really should. Support devs (and Charity!) who clearly saw the system for for what it was... something special.
Finally tried ASA. Holy crap is this a good game. Great aesthetics and world building wrapped around a clever 2-D puzzle game with short levels and frequent save points. Similarly to โGamerโ in Game and Wario, the gamepad functions as the ship control panel and works great. ESSENTIAL
I've been waiting a very long time for a game like this. This is the perfect couch co-op game. Having multiple people control one small ship through a puzzle maze is amazing. It's easily accessible to people, like my wife, who are crap at typical platformers. We've tried NSMB, Rayman Legends, and DKC:TF and this has been, by far, the most fun we've had playing a game.
The gameplay is where this game shines, but the overall look/ atmosphere of this game make it a treat to look at. It feels polished too. I find the loading screens funny as well.
I would love to see more games like this. Something like a space simulator would also work great with this setup. One person flying and shooting ships while the other targets and adjust power/shields.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Just wanted to say, if you have not picked this game up yet. DO IT NOW :)
I love that ASA was interesting and co-operative but in different ways. My young son and I would play together often and have a blast, but I could also play it alone.
We tried StarFox Zero but it was too much shooting and not enough communication.
Are there any other games that are similar to ASA? I was hoping we'd get "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" but apparently it was never ported to WiiU.
I'm in love with this game. It has a great story and an eerie atmosphere, best part are the controls made specifically for Wii U. Holy shit it's good.
If you haven't played it yet, it's a MUST buy. Ask those of us who've played it anything about it if you're curious.
If you have, what are you thoughts?
Just beat the main game with my wife and look forward to trying the free DLC. Everything about this game was so refreshing and cool. I loved how much communication it required and how it really felt like being at different stations on a space ship.
I really wish this game could have made it to other platforms and reached a wider audience but unfortunately the uniqueness of the Wii U is both what made the game possible and doomed it to obscurity.
Thank you for my first giveaway win :3
Pretty much what is says above. I'm not sure whether the "get yourself down to the port and jump on the first ship heading out" legend is real, but what's something similar that is also accessible and doesn't cost big bucks?
And as inspiration: https://vimeo.com/108650530
Edit: I'm curious about things and activities that give people a sense of adventure and discovery, whether they're "new" or not
Hey guys,
I bought this bundle on Humble Bundle a long time ago but I only have a 3DS, not a Wii U, so I forgot about these codes and decided to give them away. I'm a bit late but I don't think you guys mind :).

Has anyone cleared level 2 yet? How in the hell do you pick up the purple box? My crew managed to clear the first puzzle by Getting lunched past the mines by the EMPs, while having the sticky landing gear out , but we were totally lost on the 2nd part of the 2nd level where you have to somehow pick up the super heavy purple box. Even with full powered gas engines and booster, the best we could do was slowly roll.
Anyone figure this out? Also, does the DLC continue to be so crushingly difficult?
Hey everyone, I just finished Affordable Space Adventures on the technical setting. I was determined to do it without looking up a single puzzle and I did it. Took me three different sittings I couldn't put the game down. Apparently a lot of people say this is a multiplayer game. I thought the single-player experience was awesome in and of itself, is it more fun with other people? How does it work with other people anyway? I'm about to start the origin story. Did you all prefer multiplayer or single-player?
Has anyone heard any news of this? Last I'd seen, the free DLC was coming out at the end of summer. My wife and I really enjoyed playing this.
I downloaded and played this game after seeing some good reviews and played an hour or so co-op mode with my girlfriend so far. We both absolutely loved it. What do you all think of it?
I've watched the trailer and it looks really fun especially with friends. I don't really pay much attention to the indie scene of games but this one really caught my eye. So how is it so far for you? Is it insanely difficult or is it a pleasant challenge?
Hey! I recently bought two of the 1$ sections from the Nintendo Humble Bundle (one for me, and one for my girlfriend), but I don't have a Wii U! So, I have two keys now for Affordable Space Adventures (http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/affordable-space-adventures-wii-u) sitting around!
So, choose a number 1-269, I'll randomly generate two numbers in the morning and pick two people! As always, link your steam account (even if it isn't on steam, I know). I'd prefer for you to have a Wii U as well, so don't be a butt about it >:(
Edit: Time to pick! First number, 50, that's closest to /u/YoungSandwichFilms, and second number, 228, that's closest to /u/Neo-Spawn! Sending out the keys now!
