A list of puns related to "AEW Revolution"
What are some of the matches you think may take place at AEWβs next PPV - Revolution. Some of my thoughts:
CM Punk/MJF - Seems pretty obvious this one
Hangman Page/Moxley - Could see Adam Cole getting a shot too.
Eddie Kingston/Jericho
Britt Baker/Thunder Rosa - some sort of stipulation match
Any suggestions???
My prediction at this time:
AEW World Title Hangman Adam Page vs Adam Cole
MJF vs CM Punk
Women's World Title Dr. Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa
Christian Cage vs Jungle Boy
Tag Titles Lucha Brothers vs Santana and Ortiz
Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Wardlow vs HOOK vs Dante Martin vs Andrade vs Miro vs Sammy Guavera vs Darby vs JOKER (going to predict Shane Strickland)
TBS Title Ruby Soho vs Serena Deeb
Malakai Black vs PAC
Eddie Kingston vs Chris Jericho
reDRagon vs Young Bucks
TNT Championship Cody Rhodes vs Bryan Danielson
Definitely a ton of matches and some wild guesses but I'm confident in a few of these happening! Post your predictions!

Dave estimates AEW's share of the PPV gross will be $4m with an additional $300k coming from theatre tickets and merch and a live gate of $700k with 9,000 paid.
The United Center on 8/20 had 15,000 paid but it was at lower prices and the gate was $635,000.
The general rule for AEW is buys are split 75 percent U.S. and Canada, 10-15 percent U.K., five percent Australia/New Zealand and 5-10 percent for the rest of the world.
It would be the largest PPV buy number for a non-WWE show since either the April 11, 1999 Spring Stampede, and more likely, the March 14, 1999, Uncensored show headlined by Flair vs. Hulk Hogan for the WCW title.
As far as revenue generated vs other non WWE shows, it will be the largest since the February 21, 1999, Super Brawl show from Oakland also headlined by Flair vs. Hogan, which made $7.45 million in company revenue from PPV, live gate and merchandise.
Figured I'd do a quick write up of my ideal Revolution card β¨
ReDragon def The Young Bucks
Cody Rhodes (c) def Sammy Guevara in a Strap Match to retain the TNT Championship
Malakai Black def PAC (This feud finally ends in a win for Black, Black would move on to Darby Allin next with Brody King debuting in the House Of Black as an odds evener for Sting)
Jon Moxley def Bryan Danielson (Mox is scheduled to wrestle at a GCW event later this month so he and Danielson can have the match they never got to with Mox winning his first match since returning to AEW to judge the Page/Danielson match in which he voted in favor of Adam Page)
The Lucha Brothers (c) def Santana & Ortiz to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships (The Briscoe Bros arrive after to attack The Lucha Brothers which will lead to The Briscoes tangling with Santana & Ortiz and FTR on route to The Brothers Lucha)
CM Punk def MJF (Wardlow costs MJF the match and then lays out his former mentor after MJF starts barking at him out of anger)
Face Of The Revolution Casino Ladder Match: (The winner of this gets a TNT Title opportunity with the brass ring hanging above the ring. Andrade & Darby start, facing off for the first time before Powerhouse Hobbs enters the fray, Hobbs dominates both men when Dante Martin enters. Dante, Darby & Andrade team up on Hobbs when Jungle Boy arrives, Jungle Boy, Dante, Darby & Andrade do some crazy stuff together and Miro enters as the final confirmed entrant. Miro picks apart the opposition including Hobbs, seeking to get his TNT Title back. The joker entrant is next and it is none other than KEITH LEE, Keith destroys everybody and even downs Miro & Hobbs, he pounces Darby about 9 miles away and wins the ladder match, grabbing the brass ring he never could in WWE in order to earn a TNT Title shot against Cody Rhodes.)
Eddie Kingston def Chris Jericho
'Hangman' Adam Page (c) def Adam Cole to retain the AEW World Heavyweight Championship (The Bucks cost Cole here officially separating themselves from the SuperKliq and allowing their former friend Adam Page to hold onto his strap, you can either do The Hung Bucks vs Undisputed Era from here or if you can get him back in time, Omega & The Bucks vs UEra, if Roderick Strong can be nabbed perhaps a Blood & Guts could even be in the cards.)
Thunder Rosa def Britt Baker (c) to win the AEW Women's World Championship in a Steel Cage Match (The first women's main event of an AEW PPV sees Rosa

I was just thinking of some if my ideal matches for AEW, and thought, how would I book their last show? Then i was interested in what this sub might say.
Rules:
Must feature every AEW title, FTW and TBS optional
Wrestles must be signed or work regularly on AEW programming
Up to 12 matches
Your matches get a build up from now to march, you can reassign titles
Match results optional
You can used injured wrestlers
Hangman v Danielson v Punk for the AEW title
MJF v Guevara v Darby v Jungle Boy No DQ for the TNT title
Adam Cole v Cody for the title of Mr. Wednesday Night (Adam Cole goes over)
Young Bucks v Lucha Bros v FTR Ladder match for AEW tag titles
Rosa v Britt 2 for the AEW women's title
Pac v Andrade v Malikai
TBS title Ruby v Nyla v Deeb
Jon Moxly v Eddie Kingston (Kingston goes over)
Top Flight v The Acclaimed
Proud and Powerful v Best Friends
Battle royal featuring: Orange Cassidy, Hobbs, Starks, Pillman, Wardlow, Silver, Uno, Hook, Fuego, Miro
Man, when you have to try and squeeze so many great wrestlers on one long card its really hard, didnt even know what to do with Kenny. Maybe should have done Kenny v Danielson 2? But then id want something more for Hangman. Might have done too many triple threats too, oh well.
What do you guys got?
Why is aew running revolution in addition arena(just 9000 capacity)that's way too small for a ppv imo.
Has there been any word on where/when the ppv will take place? Cause usually AEW announces it on their previous PPV.
Yep.
AEW Revolution 2022
Miro def. Andrade El Idolo, Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston, Jay Lethal, Jungle Boy & Scorpio Sky (15 to 20 minutes) - Face of the Revolution Ladder Match
Each man wins a qualifying match on Dynamite/Rampage to enter. Andrade beats PAC in their third match, Eddie beats Daniel Garcia with help from Y2J, Miro powers through Lance Archer, Jay Lethal defeats Lee Moriarty, Jungle Boy beats Bobby Fish, Darby Allin beats Shawn Spears & Scorpio Sky beats Dustin Rhodes. Miro wins setting him as a monster for Hangman to beat on the way to Double or Nothing.
Chris Jericho def. Daniel Garcia (10 minutes)
Eddie and Jericho continue their uneasy alliance continues as they fight their common enemy. After Jericho costs Garcia a shot at being in the adder match the feud intesifies with Garcia promising to put Jericho out for good. Jericho helps make a new star giving Garcia a huge opportunity on a big stage.
reDRagon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) def. Lucha Brothers (c) (15 to 20 minutes) - AEW Tag Team Championship TITLE CHANGE
Kyle O'Riley debuts alongside Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and The Young Bucks setting the stage for a eventually Elite vs Undisputed Era civil war. The AEW Tag division has been lacking since Kenny and Hangman dropped the belts so lets start fresh and get those belts back into a major storyline and set up Fish and O'Riley as a dominant tag team doing what the Young Buck couldn't and thats beating the Lucha Bros.
Britt Baker (c) def. Thunder Rosa (15 to 20 minutes) in a steel cage - AEW Women's Championship
This is the obvious next rivarly for Britt she has already gone through most of the women's division. I do believe that Thunder Rosa should be the one to dethrown her but because this is the biggest feud AEW can offer for the women's division I believe that they should take their time with this and make Rosa struggle before eventually getting the title, possibly in the main event of a dynamite or a PPV.
Orange Cassidy & The Best Friends def. The Young Bucks & Adam Cole (10 to 15 minutes)
Continuing the Elite vs UE feud here we can tell the story of Adam Cole struggeling to get a win alongside the Young Bucks while he UE boys were able to get the job done earlier in the night. Also this way Orange Cassidy can finally win a big match which he rarley ever seems to do.
Cody Rhodes def. Sammy Guevara (c) (15 to 20 minutes) - AEW TNT Championship TITLE CHANGE
*For this match I would have C

Maki Itoh replaced Rebel in the buy-in
Dasha is with Not Big Show Not Giant, He says the only person who knows who the guy is, is him, TK, and the guy. He gives us a hint. He says no one here can out work them.
Marvez is backstage with the Best Friends, Miro and Kip rush in and Miro throws Chucks face through a pane of glass. Miro tells the Powers that Be to PLAY HIS MUSIC.
Miro gets Chuck in a choke and tells him say the word, join him and he'll stop all this. Chuck says "Ring the damn bell"
Marvez asks MJF and Jericho how it feels to have failed. Jericho says we didn't fail, we're better adn they know it. But we're depleted right now. Inner Circles been through a lot. We're gonna have to change our battle plans in the middle of the war. Wednesday we're having the Inner Circle War Council. MJF says it is time for a change. And it'll make Inner Circle a lot better.
Ethan Page was the surprise entrant in the ladder match, Karate Man remains to be seen
Christian (Or Christian Cage, here) is the new signee to AEW. He came out with a clipboard and signed the contract in the ring.
Mox lost due to interference from the Good Brothers and an exploding barbwire deathbat
Don Callis is a living slug man

Casino Ladder Match to determine who will challenge for the AEW Championship at Fight for the Fallen
Darby Allin vs Orange Cassidy vs Luchasaurus vs Kip Sabian vs Joey Janela vs Scorpio Sky vs Frankie Kazarian vs Colt Cabana vs Brian Cage w/Taz
(Not much story, other than Taz constantly trying to recruit Darby Allin to be his client, with Darby constantly saying no. Taz eventually has enough and recruits The Machine Brian Cage to be his client. Cage wrecks everyone, throwing Darby off a ladder then giving him an F10, hitting Luchasaurus with The Drill Claw, before climbing the ladder and unhooking the poker chip to secure himself a future AEW World Championship match.)
MJF w/Wardlow vs Jungle Boy
(On the 05/13/20 episode of Dynamite, MJF squashes Lee Johnson, and then calls out Jungle Boy post-match for a match at Double or Nothing, which Jungle Boy accepts. MJF also reveals that for the go-home Dynamite, Marko Stunt has a contract for a match on that episode, MJF says that he "did the world a favor" and signed the contract, giving himself a tune-up match before DON. MJF proceeds to beat the pi$$ out of Marko in this match, sending a warning for Jungle Boy ahead of Double or Nothing.)
Tournament Finals to crown the inaugural TNT Champion
Cody Rhodes w/Arn Anderson vs Lance Archer w/Jake "The Snake" Roberts
(Shortly following Revolution, Tony Khan announces an 8 man tournament to determine the inaugural TNT Champion, with the participants being Cody Rhodes, Shawn Spears, Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, Dustin Rhodes, Kip Sabian, Colt Cabana, and... THE MURDERHAWK MONSTER, LANCE ARCHER! Lance (who is revealed to have Jake "The Snake" Roberts as his manager) goes on a tear in this tournament, mauling Colt Cabana within minutes in the first round, before absolutely bludgeoning Dustin Rhodes in the Semi-Finals. On the other side of the bracket, Cody manages to get past Shawn Spears and Darby Allin on his way to the finals.
Singles Match to determine the #1 contender to the AEW Women's Championship

... keep reading on reddit β‘After seeing some butthurt comic fans already calling WandaVision a failure because their farfetched theories didn't come true and seeing a LOT of people getting their hopes up over the new AEW signing set to take place tomorrow, I'd like to say this:
Please manage your expectations. Don't get yourself riled up for something unlikely just to be disappointed with the whole PPV.
I'm seeing WAY too many people expecting CM Punk, or Lesnar, or fucking JOHN CENA, I'm even seeing people expecting contracted WWE talent like Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. These same people will no doubt shit on the whole show when they're inevitably wrong.
It's ok to fantasy book, it's even ok to be a lil disappointed that you didn't predict what would happen, but it seems a bit weird to completely define a show by what DIDN'T happen rather than by what did happen.
Just like _______________________ not happening doesn't ruin WandaVision's story about loss and trauma and healing, your choice for the signing not being correct shouldn't ruin what I hope will be a dope PPV

Missed Something?
> The show looks to have significantly beaten the 120,000 buys of last yearβs show, but fallen short of the Revolution number. Based on information thus far, FITE TV buys were the same as last year, which covers outside the U.S. streaming buys. That number could be flat because of the show being available on television PPV in the U.K. through Virgin Media, the first time theyβve been on television PPV since ITV Box Office folded. B/R Live, which covers U.S. streaming, was up 12 percent from last year as of the day after the show, but with late buys that number could end up when all is said and done up nearly 20 percent. Based on television PPV purchases in the U.S., based on numbers we have, and this is real numbers based on a sample size of millions of homes, it was up 98 percent from last year and thatβs a number as of the night of the show and not even factoring in late buys. That number on the surface is so ridiculous that you have to think itβs not real, but even with that number, it was down nine percent from Revolution, so it is believable in that sense. The last two shows have seen TV numbers seemingly explode. Being conservative about the TV numbers, because they strike right out as being high as compared to last year, but still, were not above Revolution, the best estimate at this point would be 135,000 to 150,000 buys. Ironically, the Google searches for the show were only at 50,000, which charted, and many AEW PPV shows donβt even do that, but was still below the 200,000 of Revolution and of most WWE B shows.
>The show drew 5,200 fans, which was actually about 300 shy of a sellout, with 4,700 paid and a $300,000 gate.
