I am so glad that the largely unnoticed mod abuse is finally being called out by the jolly red mafia boss himself, hopefully this will lead to a mod shakeup and we can get some real change.
I hope all this energy doesnt just lead us nowhere like a discord Occupy.
As proponents of equality and democracy, its important that we put our money where our mouths are and apply our values to all elements, not just talking a big game.

What's happening?
- On October 25th, Abdelfattah al-Burhan, former president of the Transitional Military Council and then president of the Sovereign Council, carried out a military coup, dissolving the transitional government, kidnapping and arresting the Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and a number of other ministers, and announcing the imminent formation of a new, technocratic government, which should be happening any day now. Rejection of this move has been fast and swift: millions of Sudanese people across the country, led by the resistance committees, have taken action in the form of peaceful protest, building roadblocks to prevent military movement, and going on strike multiple times. The military has responded to these peaceful forms of resistance violently, detaining an unknown number of activists and killing at least 12 people.
- In the midst of this, the international community is attempting to mediate negotiations between Prime Minister Hamdok, who is currently under house arrest, and Abdelfattah al-Burhan, the one who placed him under house arrest, in hopes of reaching a new civilian-military partnership. These calls to negotiation have been widely rejected by the people, yet international actors like Jeffrey Feltman insist that a new partnership is the only way things can move forward.
- In addition to the military's continued violations of human rights, it has also cut off the internet since October 25th in an attempt to limit communication between revolutionaries and preventing reports of their violations from circulating internationally.
- On November 21st, Hamdok was released from house arrest and agreed to take part in al-Burhan's new government under an amended form of the constitutional declaration, which gives the military extra oversight over the civilian branch, including the power to approve or disapprove cabinet appointments. This deal has been widely rejected by the people.
