A list of puns related to "2021 In Sumo"
So full disclosure here, I only started watching sumo bouts because I started watching the anime "Hinomaru Sumo." However, now it's to the point where I'm watching bouts daily, and it got me wondering what made everyone start watching in the first place?
My friend and I are quite large gentlemen and we would like to sumo wrestle each other. Is there anywhere where we can learn to sumo wrestle in Melbourne?
Hi! Me and my partner are planning to attend a sumo tournament at Edion Arena in Osaka in March.
Is anyone familiar with the seating at Edion Arena? I've found this map: http://sumo.pia.jp/en/seat/osaka.jsp
And here are the prices (Ring and Box seats are out of my price range, but all of the following I'd consider):
Chair Seats SS = 9,800yen
Chair Seats S = 8,800yen
Chair Seats A = 6,900yen
Chair Seats B = 5,600yen
Chair Seats C = 3,800yen
Chair Seats D = 3,100yen
I'm willing to spring for nicer seats, but I just don't know enough about sumo to make the call. Will being in a better seating section will really improve my experience? Should I spring for the SS seats and have an awesome view, or will I get the experience just as well from the S or A section?
Also, we can get two box seats in the orange section labeled "Pair Seats" for the same price as Chair Seats SS, but it looks to me like the Pair Seats wouldn't have a very good view. Any thoughts?
Looking for input from anyone who has experience seeing a sumo tournament--is the view of the ring super important, or is it worth the ticket price to just be amidst wild fans? It would also be great to hear from someone who has been to this arena before and can offer specific info about the value of the seats.
TIA!
Hello all!
I would love to see sumo during my trip in the second half of November but sadly I canβt accommodate a trip to Fukuoka to see the official tournament.
Can anyone recommend an alternative, like a university match or an amateur league? I would love to see sumo training but sadly the stables are closed during the official tournament.
Iβm a massive boxing fan as well as Sumo and with boxing usually comes with a lot of problems that hurts the sport, particularly PEDs. Iβm green to this sport still so I wondered if the stables or the Sumo Association carry out any drug tests to ensure the Rikishi arenβt cheating? Thanks.
We're planning to watch sumo in Fukuoka this November. Hoping that those who have experience sumo in Fukuoka, can help me figure out a few things:
We're wondering if we should buy reserved tickets or buy general admissions tickets on the day. Is there going to be super long lines like in Tokyo?
If we buy general admissions tickets, should we enter early to secure our seats? We just want to watch upper ranks matches.
Thanks in advance :)
