I was there, it was glorious. Happy Anniversary y'all!
I guess happy 7th anniversary to New Day as well.
Since this subreddit is mostly focused on western pop culture, may I know what's the biggest or most iconic pop culture moment in your country if you're not from the US or UK?
EDIT: In our country, The Philippines, one notable incident was when Lady Gaga came here to do her Born This Way Ball. Conservative Christian groups did protests and prayer vigils to prevent the show from happening. Even the mayor of the city where the concert was held got involved. You can see more about this chaotic incident HERE.
Another infamous pop culture moment here happened in 1966 when The Beatles snubbed the then first lady Imelda Marcos' invitation for a reception because the band didn't want to do anything with politics. The spoiled brat Imelda who was the wife of our then president and dictator Ferdinand Marcos ranted on TV the next day saying "They've let me down!" When the band was checking out of their hotel room, nobody was in the hotel. No one helped them. They went to the airport and people were treating them really bad like these people were avenging Imelda's spoiled ass outcry. Some even spit on them. The Beatles pledged to never come back here. You can read more about this shameful fiasco HERE.
Since then, Iβve been gathering the songs I like most in a YouTube playlist. Would you care to help me find more Georgian songs to my taste?
Iβm gonna post my favorites below. Will be very glad if you help me with more β€οΈπ
