Even if an athleteโs event starts later, do all the athletes just arrive early & take part in the OC?
Also if an athlete gets eliminated before the finals/ doesnโt qualify for the next segment, do they stay in the village until the end and go to the CC?

After a very heated and competitive 17 days, the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro come to a close. After over two weeks of excitement, impressive efforts, and a few upsets, the Games ended with an incredible closing ceremony in the Carnival style that only Rio can present.
Over 10k athletes participated, with 959 medal winners from 91 countries.
The events drew hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the globe to Rio de Janeiro and the other participating cities, being yet another boost in the already booming Brasilian tourism sector.
Presidente Alonso at the closing ceremonies: "I want to congratulate every athlete who competed here over the past days. This has truly been a spectacular show of the feats of human achievement and sportsmanship. I also want to thank all peoples who ran, jumped, rode, swam, played, coached, cheered, and watched. It is because of everyone here that we were able to have such an incredible event and let the spirit of Rio shine across the world. Thank you on behalf of Brasil and on behalf of Brasilians. Viva sua paixรฃo!"

Regarding the series of news reports
We were perplexed by the series of news reports and felt that we were not in a position to answer any questions, so we refrained from making any comments. However, with the situation changing rapidly every day, it would be very distressing if this issue were to linger and cause the athletes and other people who are working hard to hold the Games to not be able to concentrate on their work, and I felt that I had a responsibility to convey my thoughts from my own mouth, so I decided to make a comment. I have decided to publish my comments.
I have decided to make a comment.
On March 24, 2020, it was decided to postpone the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics for about a year due to the spread of the new coronavirus. Before the postponement, as the executive director of the Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies, I was entrusted with the talents and time of nearly 500 staff members, cast members, and many others whom I was unable to meet in person. One of them was Naomi Watanabe. We were told that preparations for the opening and closing ceremonies would be temporarily suspended and that we would be contacted when they resumed. In October of last year, about six months after the postponement, I was worried that I could not keep you waiting any longer, as we had not been able to inform you about the future of the event, so I gathered my courage and contacted Dentsu. In November, I received another offer for a new project with a new director, but as I was not involved in the project from the beginning, I could not be responsible for it. Even though the form of the project has changed, we thought that we should make effective use of the parts of the previous production that we could utilize. We also felt that it would be a breach of morality in relation to all the people who had contributed to the project so far. When I thought about how the ceremony should be held in the midst of the world's fear and grief over Corona, I could not participate with such doubts, and I came to the decision to resign after much consideration.
If I could go back in time, I would have liked to talk with all of you about what I could do and what I could tell you at the Corona Peril Ceremony," said a respected staff member who had supported the Olympic and Paralympic projects. I wanted to communicate with the people who had been working on the c

Ghibli? Kyoani? Production IG? PA Works? Others?
Personally I wouldn't mind Kyoani, given their inhouse reputation for consistent, quality animation in nearly all their works (plus more global exposure to their brand and efforts). Ghibli already has good mainstream appeal with regular Japanese and the West, but that was largely because of Miyazaki's vision(unless he chooses to make an surprise comeback).
Your thoughts?

Mute the Olympics video.
The song is called Flyers by BRadio
Ok, so my sister-in-law use The Final Countdown as something like a rickroll. Usually this is done in real life -- not online. But, she's very far away right now, and I thought I'd try to get her by sending her a video of something completely unrelated that has it in the background -- preferably a little bit into the video (can't have anything in the title about the final countdown).
The reason I know it was played in the the closing ceremony, is because it talks about this on wikipedia.
I found some videos of the closing ceremonies, but couldn't find where The Final Countdown is played.
There was a link to a video on a forum on EuropeTheBand.com, but the submitter closed their account and so the video is no longer available. Here is a link to the non-existent video.
If anybody has it or knows of where such a video might exist, I'd appreciate it very much!
