A list of puns related to "Wizard Names"
David Sky Rider Level 60 Life when waterworks and Celestia were max.
Was just curious to see what names people have got in mind for their characters when the game releases (whenever that may be). Are you going to use your real name, made up name or even a name from the Harry Potter / Fantastic Beasts films?
The best name site there ever was, Baby Name Wizard, has officially been shut down.
Creator Laura Wattenberg shares her thoughts here.
Thank you for all of the ways your site advanced my love of baby names!

the site recently shut down and iβve certainly been having a hard time to finding other sites that come close to offering what babynamewizard did.
i really appreciated sibling names, popularity over time, and name finder tools (which would allow me to filter names by specific criteria beyond just letter and girl/boy)
Thanks, Reddit Muggle
I remember finding it maybe 2+ years ago. My memory is hazy on it but it felt like a British drama where the government was consulting with this guy who could use Magic. I think there was a scene where he fixed a road with a spell or something.
I've tried googling netflix wizard show and stuff but not finding anything that looks like it, it was live action, not a anime or anything.
Hello! Sorry if this isn't the right sub to ask this sort of question.
A couple of months ago, I saw a game on Kickstarter. It looked interesting, but I forgot to save it.Now I'm interested in it (maybe I can find an online version of it or a PnP), but I can't remember it's name!I remember what was it about tho: 2-4 wizards are on top of a mountain (wich is represented as an hexagonal grid) and are trying to push each other off. In order to do that, they have a common deck of spells from wich they draw. The spells have types (I think they were fire, water, air, earth?) and are used in order to create tornadoes, move tornadoes, create icy tiles, push others around etc.
Does anyone recognize this game and if so, what is it's name?
Edit 2: Found it! The name is Battle Peak. Sadly, it got cancelled :( but you can still find tutorials on youtube
Edit: I'll make a list with the suggestions that I tried
That would be pretty cool huh
Any good suggestions for a homebrewed sword name? Here's the specifics. Because we have two wizard-fighters (one bladesinger, me, and one wizard multiclassed into fighter) as well as a whole host of other mixed and multiclassed pc's in the party our gm likes making a lot of various homebrew items. One of them which I've just gotten is rather interesting. It's a finesse longsword that deals 1d4 + dex slashing and 1d4 + int force. It has a hollow/clear gemstone set into the guard. Any fun ideas for this sword's name?
Only read the first book so forgive me if this idea is explored in a later text.
It is said that no teo things can share the same name, and yet no thing can have two names.
When a wizard changes into, for example, a sparrowhawk, that's no problem because there are already multiple sparrowhawks in the world. Its a speciation name, not really a personal name.
But how would the world handle two Geds at once? It kind of already did, but it seemed then that the shadow and the mage were not separate truly. Each was only part of the whole, and the whole could only be healed when they joined together.
If another wizard wanted to literally be Ged, what would happen to the original?
Would this wound the OG (original ged) and make the new one an incomplete shadow like the gebbeth?
Idk just a wacky idea. What do you think?
>Nets guard David Duke Jr. on sharing a name w/ the convicted felon & Grand Wizard of the Klan: βIf anybody should change his name, it should be him. I should be the one keep itβ¦One day I'm just hoping that when you look it up, it won't be so much negative around it.β
Me (quietly): The Wizard of Ounces.
A thought recently occurred to me:
The Goblet of Fire is a deadly magical contract. If your name comes out of it but you don't compete, you die. With this being said, could the Goblet of Fire have been used as a weapon against death eaters or other dark wizards?
Ex: after it was found that Voldemort came back, light the Goblet of Fire back up, write Voldemort's name and a random magic school on a piece of paper, then do the same for two random death eaters (using different school names) and put the papers in the goblet. Hope that the plan isn't discovered by Voldemort or the death eaters, create a random task, and have a bunch of aurors show up in case the plan has been discovered. Since Voldemort and the death eaters won't compete if they don't know the plan, Voldemort's body will be destroyed (he will still be alive due to his horcruxes) and the other two guys will be killed.
Would this work?
