A list of puns related to "Wiry"
I noticed over the last few years I would have this coarse wiry black hair grow on my chin.. I would pluck it out every time I felt it. I didnt think much of it. Just one of those things..
But I was strolking my chin today (deep in thought) and realized it wasnt there and that it hasn't been there in over a month!! Only change would be that I had the implanon removed just over a month ago. Could this have been a side effect I wasnt even aware of??
Also, the hairs are turning white. π©
So I've been struggling with extremely frizzy hair since I've decided to let my hair grow out beyond 10 centimeters. With the things I have tried, I cannot seem to make my hair look less frizzy and more healthy for more than a day, which is really quite annoying. Basically, I'm looking for alternatives to treat my hair. I'm not a big fan of gel/mousse/cream so I'd like to avoid those. Should I try adding protein to my treatments?
I think I have wavy hair (2b/2c) with some curls appearing at the ends when my hair gets longer than chin length. I also think I've high porosity since my hair dries very fast, is dry, frizzy and tangly. After a reset wash (De Tuinen - Aloe Vera Shampoo), I've tried Hemp Oil and Virgin Coconut Oil Conditioners from Dr. Organic multiple times, but they don't lessen the frizz for more than a day. I've also mixed the conditioners with some argan oil, but this didn't improve things either.
When I went to the hairdresser, I was told my scalp and hair were too dry, and they offered a Davines shampoo/conditioner/mask treatment along with trimming the ends. My hair felt a bit better for a bit longer (maybe 2 days) and I felt my scalp became more "calm". Afterwards, my hair became the same frizzy mess it used to be. After that, I tried a deep conditioning treatment with an Argan oil mask from Dr. Organic, and after I rinsed and started air-drying my hair, I immediately got wet frizz. Overall, my hair looked a bit better for maybe a day, then it became to same unruly mess it was before. I also applied a (coconut-based) leave in conditioner but this just made things way worse.
Hello everybody! Recently got my pup and I was told she is a Chihuahua but she has wiry hair. Would you all mind sharing photos of your wiry haired Chihuahuas? I want to see all the cuties!
I have long (bra strap length) dark very thick hair that's a mix 2A/2B. For a very long time I used a blow dryer and straightener every time I washed my hair (twice a week). Stopped doing that in late October 2020. Haven't really used heat since (except for my bangs, I do dry those quickly to set their shape).
I use the blow dryer on the cool setting 2x a week for about 10 mins to help my hair a bit (sometimes will blast it with warm air for 1-2 minutes to help even more if I'm in a hurry). Air drying take 12+ hours since it's so thick, which sucks.
I still only wash my hair 2x a week. I tried co-washing but I get too much buildup that way and the itch is awful. I use a sulfate-free rose water shampoo, a L'Oreal deep conditioner that I've been using for 5 years without a problem, and I started using Olaplex No. 3 on my hair (only new product). I use It's a 10 leave-in and silk balm, and some argan oil (note that I've been using these products for many years without issue). Sometimes I'll brush with my Mason Pearson once it's dry if I want to, but only sometimes. That's about it.
I've noticed since I stopped straightening my hair all the time that I have these strange hairs growing out of the top of my head near my crown. They're crinkly and kinky and look really wiry and weird. They don't feel like my hair at all. They make it look frizzy as hell. They only exist on the crown. I don't have any thyroid issues (I just got a blood panel done in January).
I'm wondering if this is a potential adjustment period? Could it be the Olaplex No. 3? It's the only thing I've change other than stopping heat. The rest of my head seems to LOVE the Olaplex No. 3 so I'm confused and frustrated at these weird f'd up hairs.
This past year Iβve noticed more and more of my hair strands being thick, kinky, and wiry. It feels disgusting to be completely honest. Iβm an 18 year old female.
My biological mother has hypothyroidism and I was worried because hair texture change is a symptom of that, but my blood tests showed my thyroid is still fully functional.
Iβm currently taking Bupropion, hydroxyzine, Adderall, and Estarylla or OrthoCyclen. Throughout last year Iβve been prescribed with different medications that have not worked for me: Zoloft, Clonidine, and Lamictal.
-Iβm currently using Shea moisture products however I was using OGX for roughly half of 2020.
My theory is that my OrthoCyclen may be the cause because itβs a birth control pill.
Is this normal? Or should I be concerned? If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what might be the cause I would greatly appreciate it. Iβm truly at a loss, as those kinds of hairs have since dominated my scalp.
Grown a semi decent beard but it is getting pretty wiry and difficult to manage. I think the minox is to blame.
For work it is an issue as there have been comments that I could do with sorting out the stray hairs sticking out. (Very formal office environment.)
What can I use after applying minox that isn't going to stop it working?
Hi!
After trying (and failing) for the last 9 months to adopt a retired racer, I found a greyhound puppy in need of a home. Her parents are used for hunting out in Kansas and I was sent pictures of them today. While the owner does breed AKC dachshunds, the greyhounds are not AKC (which is of very little importance to me anyway) and her husband and sons breed the greys strictly for hunting. Apparently this is common? However, I was surprised to see that the mom (spotted dog) had a wiry coat.
I asked about the fur, and the owner said that sometimes these greyhounds used for hunting have the rough coat like that. She said if mom was a mix, itβs way back in her lineage but she didnβt think so.
Iβm having a very hard time finding information on the history/lineage of greyhounds with a rough coat. Can anybody point me in the right direction or give me their thoughts?

My partner saw this dog wearing a red collar at about 8am this morning while taking our dog out. He was playful with our dog but wouldnβt get close enough to let his dog tag be read. After a few minutes he ran up towards South Seventh.
