A list of puns related to "Vršič Pass"
Hi Guys,
I’m visiting Slovenia in a few days and planning a road trip around this weekend. I’d previously discounted the Vršič Pass as I’d read it’s usually shut during winter, however from what I’ve read online there seems to have not been much snow recently? Will I still be able to drive around this or due to its altitude is it still shut?
Hi r/Slovenia! Hopefully my post doesn't violate the spirit of this subreddit. I am looking for some advice to see if my plans to visit Slovenia and bike the Julian Alps are possible and also not unwelcome given the pandemic. My tentative plan is to fly Lufthansa, and use their bike carriage to transport my bike. Then, I would rent a car in Ljubljana and drive to the Julian Alps where I would spend a few days biking. Are there any logistical obstacles that I am overlooking (especially pertaining to bike transport)?
Additionally, I was wondering what the current attitude towards tourists are during this time? I am fully vaccinated and wear a mask in indoor spaces, but I understand that Slovenia is experiencing a spike in cases, and the new variants have created a lot of unease everywhere. I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable with my presence or represent my country poorly.
I definitely would appreciate any advice or suggestions!
