A list of puns related to "Viagogo"
Just wanted to make this post to warn y'all about Viagogo. Now, firstly, I know some people had a positive experience with Viagogo but the vast majority of people who got tickets from them (me included) got scammed at least once.
It's absolutely filled with fake tickets and their "support" won't do shit to help you out, if anything, they'll try to get you to spend more money on another ticket which is also most likely fake. They are in on it.
You can find a lot of reviews and horror stories online. Some people even traveled across the world to see bands play only to be denied entry to the concert because of a fake ticket.
Use LiveNation or buy directly from the venue! βοΈ
Edit: there's also a good amount of scalpers who sell tickets for an exorbitant amount of money on Viagogo.
Hello everyone!
I want to buy tickets for the upcoming 8.2 show in Brixton O2.
I have seen some tickets on Viagogo, does anyone has some experience with this site? Are the tickets legit?
Would love to hear some answers. Thanks.
About to embark on a journey by attending my first ever AM concert which will hopefully be during the newly announced Europe tour, most likely in Turkey as itβs the closest to my country.
I was prepared to engage in full battle for a chance to get those tickets as the venue capacity is very limited, until my hopes were crushed when I encountered a website (Viagogo) seemingly selling said tickets days before their announced release date on the official website, with only a few tickets remaining.
So I come to you today looking for answers and reassurance that my dream of attending a live AM performance is still alive, hoping that I can still get a chance to purchase those tickets fairly along with the rest of you beautiful people.
Sadly, the tickets I had been eyeing up and was going to buy tomorrow for the O2 last night have just been snatched. I turn to Viagogo, where there are some good seats. Do I buy them or settle for some seats that are further back?
Did anyone get their tickets through viagogo? They still haven't send me mine and I bought them in August. Perhaps they weren't released? Any info would be helpfull. Thanks!
I know it seems they are way too high priced but are they potentially fake tickets? I was considering going crazy and going to Amsterdam for the concert (I live in Asia) but I'm scared if my overpriced ticket would be also fake and be denied at the door. I'm just dying to see them.
Anyone think they will add tour dates to anywhere in Asia?
Hi all, my mum bought some tickets for cricket at Trent Bridge as a Christmas present, but unfortunately they are from viagogo. I've read that viagogo is super dodgy and that the tickets could well be cancelled or fake. Does anyone have any experience with trying to get in to Trent Bridge with tickets from viagogo (or similar)? I've already advised her to try and get a refund.
TIA
Hello I hope you are all well, I recently was charged a fee of Β£60 and the withdrawal of payment for a ticket I sold on viagogo. The ticket was 1 weekend ticket to sundown festival, I sold it to viagogo so I could attend the Sunday only due to other commitments. To my knowledge my ticket was perfect as I bought directly from sundown and sold it viagogo. Any information on this topic would be so helpful as I feel really hard done by considering I havenβt done anything wrong. Thanks in advance.
Was just wondering how legit it is! Cheers
Since August 5th, I have been trying to get their clusterfuck of a support system to understand that the full ticket package for 2 people comprises a 6 page pdf, even though their website requires you to select single pages. Each person needs 1 page for entry, 1 page for VIP lounge access, and 1 page for the catering access.
They still don't understand and the deadline for getting them to accept it is tomorrow so π€·ββοΈ
Here are my support messages trying to explain it to the fucking morons. I also explained it in detail to 5 separate support people on the phone.
But don't worry, their support team is on it, calling me at 1am to sort it out.
So yeah. If you don't get your tickets, I did my best and I'm sorry. But they're a fucking shitshow of inept bumbling morons.
Edit: and now they are emailing me in German.
Ok, so my mum just got scammed out of $720 by viagogo. To a fucking Neil Diamond "Tribute" (i.e. impersonator) show. This is in no way meant to disparage that tour or that performer and is for illustrative purposes only. She is fortunate enough to have the $$ but she is also elderly enough to have a bit of cognitive slippage but mostly she has her wits about her. Which was what did her in.
Goes to Google Chrome without an ad blocker (I dare you, it's a blast) - which as most of us know is a big no-no. Types in Sweet Caroline tour. First result is the viagogo site, clicks on it looks legit, goes though the motions to buy tickets at Sky City, almost saves herself by balking at the extreme cost of A reserve seats ($520 for 2) then the booking fee of $190 plus other costs/fees/charges but ultimately went thru with it because she didn't want to miss out.
First, let's question the $520 tickets for 2. For a TRIBUTE Show. Second the extreme fuckery of almost the cost of a 3rd ticket in booking fees. But to an older person who didn't realise that she'd clicked on a paid advert for this site to be first in the engine results, and ignored the notice on the front page sayi.ng they are a secondary market and ticket prices may be higher or lower than face value
So clearly caveat emptor (Buyer beware). But I still think that it was very predatory (top of page showing "Tickets going fast high demand") even though on the fine side of legal. Like an 18yr old and 1 day in a bottle store legal.
My mum feels like shit and stupid for being scammed. Thanks viagogo you pieces of wretched pieces of human excrement, you ruined an old lady's day if not month.
I note some of you are going to say well she ignored the warning signs, it's on her. I agree. THere are things she could. nay should have done to mitigate (an ad blocker for one). I agree. But to a generation who didn't grow up living and breathing with a device connected to the internet in hand, it's not always easy to figure these things out. When she was born in rural Hamilton in the late 40's they didn't even have a fucking phone.
TLDR tell your elderly family and less tech savy friends to avoid viagogo, check they're not clicking on a paid advert, they're liable to get scammed
