My father has been hospitalized after falling 2-3 m straight down on concrete. He refuses to tell me how serious it is and neither does his doctors because my father wonβt let them.
I'm a second year chiropractic student. I know this might sound silly or too late. But recently I had a discussion with my classmates about the palpation of Atlas/C1 transverse process. I realized that we had different ways of palpating C1, which end up with different position of C1. Can anyone here share how do they find the C1 TVP? I know it's kinda late for a 2nd year student to ask this questionβ¦β¦
Hey everyone - this is a quick three minute video on CJβs low back fracture (βL3 non-displaced transverse process fracture") including if thereβs risk for further injury if he keeps playing and potential on court implications. Thanks to the mods for letting me post.

Abstract (APS)
The main aim of this paper is a new determination of transverse momentum dependence of unpolarized fragmentation function (TMD FF) in single inclusive hadron production in electron-positron annihilation (SIA) process. Motivated by the need for a reliable and consistent determination of TMD FFs, we use the most recent TMD production cross sections of charged pions (ΟΒ±), kaons (KΒ±), and protons/antiprotons (p/pΒ―) measured in inclusive e+e- collisions by Belle Collaboration. These datasets are the first transverse momentum dependence of identified light charged hadron measurements SIA process. In this analysis, referred to as SK19 TMD FFs, the common Gaussian distribution is used for the PhT dependent of the cross section. The uncertainties in the extraction of SK19 TMD FFs are estimated using the standard βHessianβ technique. We study the quality of the TMD FFs determined in this analysis by comparing with the available recent Belle cross sections measurement. For all hadron species, we found a very good agreement between this particular set of experimental data and the corresponding theory calculations over a relatively wide range of transverse momentum PhT. As a result of this study, suggestions are identified for possible future research considering the theory improvements and other available experimental observables.

I have a patient who fell off a balcony 2 months ago and fractured her R transverse processes L3-L5. She was hospitalized for two days and they did not do surgical fixation or bracing (according to patient.) They sent her home with precautions of no bending or twisting.
I am having a ton of trouble getting in touch with her doctor to see when these precautions may end and what I can/canβt do with her. Google isnβt giving me clear answers either.
Anyone have experience with this type of injury and know what I should focus on or watch out for? I started gentle core stabilization and TENS for now but thatβs about it.
Look at the pocket collapse and him stiffly fall forward in that game.
Gostis of the Broncos hit him in the back with his knee, sure, but hard enough to fracture a bone? It didn't look bad at all.
It caused a flare up and for DC to finally get an X-Ray.
Now that he had time off and a special doctor from the east coast he's looking much better.
Edit: to clarify, I mean he was suffering from it in the Redskins game. Not sure when it happened.

Fitness is my life pls need advice ( Fractures on transverse processes L2 , L3 and L4)
I recently slipped and having fractures in my transverse processes. I used to go gym every day and used to run 5 mile every day. Now I am in bed. Am I going to be able to workout like before? Has someone experience that? Thanks for all replies
When I touch the transverse processes along my lower thoracic spine, they feel smooth. Like a straight iron rod. Even when I press hard, I don't feel the bony projections of the transverse processes... I only feel hardness. On the other hand, when I touch along the spinous processes along my spine, I can feel the slight grooves and ridges. Why can't I feel the bony projections of the transverse process?
Thanks! And I hope I made my question clear.

Summary: CJ suffered a non-displaced transverse process fracture at the L3 level of his lumbar (low back) spine but has continued to play. Based on that fact, my educated guess is that this is likely a mild isolated transverse fracture - which may have been caused by a sudden stress from his psoas major muscle - which is far more about pain tolerance than further risk of injury. The injury may help explain CJ's dip in shooting form and Lillard taking over increased duties but if Portland does make the play-in and/or playoffs, it could be interesting to see if team's put more stress on him via off and on ball screens and hunting him in pick and roll.
