Other than geopolitics and the status of minorities in romanian law, why do moldovan communists oppose union with romania?

Since some individuals like to speculate on relations with Russia, I've decided to make a post and tell in details the history of Russian-Armenian relations.

This short post is going to be divided into several historic periods:

1. Middle Ages and Moscovia
2. Era of Russian Empire
3. Soviet Period
4. Contemporary histroy

In part 1 I will look at first and second periods.

Let's get started

Middle Ages/Moscovia.

The very first time the presence of Armenians is mentionned in the 9th century in Kievian Rus' in historical chronicles. The Kievo-Pecher Patericon tells a story of debate on medical treatement between Agapetus of the Kiev Caves (Orthodox Christian saint and doctor, as well as a monk in Kiev Pechersk Lavra) and Armenian doctor. According to chronicles, Armenian doctors' diagnosis turns out to be wrong and his patients miraclously recover from all their diseases after they receive treatement from Agapetus. When Armenian gets ill and has three days to live, same Agapetus treats him and cures him. According to Patericon this impressed Armenian doctor so much that he became monk in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.

it is believed, that Armenians had influenced architecture of some buildings and monuments in Vladimir Suzdal as they have traits that make them looks close to Armenian ornaments. Some suggest that happened because Armenian masters took part in their construction. No less important, is the fact that Gregory the Illuminator had special respect in Novgorod, where he was depicted on icons.

Armenians and their settlements are also mentioned to be in areas surrounding Volga river during Golden Horde's reign somewhere around late 13th century. Armenian presence can be seen in toponyms of the that area as one of mountains on the right bank of Volga near city Samara has name of mount Kabackaya/Armenyanskaya (Armenian).

The flow of Armenians to Russia intensifies when Ottomans, Persians and Turkic nomadic tribes finally destroy Armenian state and capture Western and Eastern Armenia. Many refugees found shelter in Moscow when they had founded Armenian settlements. Most of Armenians were skilled doctors, goldsmiths or craftsmen. I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Much like other minor Axis members from WWII, Romania is much what it was at the end of WWII: It had gained the Transnistria Governorate from the Ukraine SSR, but had lost Northern Transylvania to Hungary and Southern Dobruja to Bulgaria.

Starting Situation

The Kingdom has been led by Prime Minister Mihai Antonescu since the death of Conducător Ion Antonescu (no relation) in 1951, and by King Mihai I since the deposition of his father Carol II in 1940. Ion Antonescu was the glue that held Romania together since the War, bringing internal stability, albeit, with an iron fist, and external peace. But his death risks undermining that stability. Elevated from Deputy PM to PM, Mihai Antonescu allowed the Iron Guard Movement/Legion of the Archangel Michael (whose botched 1941 coup saw many flee to Germany) back from exile, and released many moderate/monarchist politicians from prison. He wanted to play both sides, letting the two fight it out, so afterwards he and his government can swoop in and pick up the pieces.

As of game start, the government holds the most influence in all states. You can see this UI by clicking on the little Romanian flag next to the word Politics in the Country Tab. Also a little bit about the two factions can be seen in the Great Game section of the Decision Tab, but that is not applicable yet.

The Great Game Choice

The pivotal moment in Romania will come about during clashes in Bucharest orchestrated by the Iron Guard. The government must act, or choose not to. Choosing not to will enrage the Monarchists, and end any hope of the Government working with them. On the flip side, acting and putting down the clashes will enrage the Iron Guard and end any hope of the Government working with them. The events above do not trigger directly from the clashes event, but the choice form the clash event will eventually lead to it.

After investigating both the Monarchists and Iron Guard members, the Great Game will kickoff. Depending on what action was taken during the Clashes in Bucharest event, new decisions will open up to increase influence for the faction that was allied. Each decision costs 30 command power, and will increase influence in a state by 15%.
