Hello! I am planning a trip with my wife to visit Jordan and take in as much of your amazing culture as we can over the course of 5-10 days.
We are American, if that makes a difference to the questions below.
So what should we see? Are there any areas that we should avoid? What customs should we make sure we follow in your country to make sure we follow?
I really want to explore and camp in the Wadi Rum desert, we really enjoying the outdoors, running, rock climbing.
We are also vegan, how readily available is non-animal related food?
My wife is specifically worried, although I told her she is being silly, because she has very blonde hair that ends in multiple colors.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
