A list of puns related to "The Weight Of The World"
To preempt "but it is a game, not reality":
>!Yes, it is a game, but it a game intended, by the lead dev's own words, to be as realistic as possible within its context: Current day Mercs abandoned in unfriendly territory. !<
>!I would not go play CoD and expect it to be as realistic as Arma. Neither do I want to play EFT and be constantly slapped in the face with all the ways EFT is fundamentally broken regarding its connection to its subject matter. In the same way I would be dissatisfied with a racing game where the cars did not behave as cars do, I am dissatisfied with EFT humans not behaving as humans do.!<
>!In a game predicated on near-future real-world human survival, those humans must at least approach being typically human. I am not saying they should be an average joe off the streets, but neither should they ignore the laws of physics and reality.!<
Now, I served in the infantry back in the '80s. I know the realities of living from a pack. I also know the short- and long-term damage that results from doing so. I know about march, staging and combat load-outs. Many here throw out huge numbers as "standard combat loads for average soldiers" and it is clear they have no idea what they are talking about. But, am just a random dude on the internet, so here, have some real-world research.
The upshot is, the weight system makes a certain sense given the context it is being applied to.

>Todayβs combat load far exceeds recommended limits, which have consistently approximated one-third of body weight, or 50 pounds. Research as far back as the late 1800s recommended a 48-pound limit.62 Findings in the 1920s recommended a maximum of 40 to 45 pounds, arguing additional weight beyond one-third body weight would have disproportionate costs to the weight added.63

>A 2003 Marine Corps load study assessed existing recommendations, including the Army recommendation, its source in the DoD Design Criteria Standard (MIL-STD-1472F), and deliberations with military scientists. These sources led the Marine Corps study to recommend setting fighting and approach loads at 30 percent and 45 percent of

Yesterday I had a very frustrating day. Eventually anger set in and I was beside myself. It didnβt help that couldnβt make it to practice, so I did cardio instead. It helped me get my breath going and burn off some of my anxiety.
Than Last night my sleep suffered as well, I over slept and than had to rush to get to the yoga studio, but I knew that if I missed practice today, and knowing tomorrowβs a moon day, I would be a wreck
Thank god the studio was open late enough for me to make it to Mysore practice.
I always tell myself in the morning (and if I had a tough night) just get to the studio and get on the mat... even if i have to lie in Savasana for an hour, just get there.
So I did. I had one of the hardest practices of my yoga life. After each pose I had to take extra breaths to recover.
I took my time and didnβt jeopardize my pose or breath.
By the end of my practice I was done!!
During Savasana I propped myself up and took a deep, deep rest.
A half hour later I walked out the studio and felt as light as a feather. I was able to put things in perspective. The issues that I am walking around with are still there, but I have to say THANK YOU universe for my practice.
Thank you for your time... That is all :-) OM

My name is Velka but that's not important.
You know those school choirs you probably got forced to join? Bet you had to sing something dumb. But we're not singing something dumb, boys and girls.
We're gonna sing Weight of the World. Together.
Woah, woah, you're going way too fast!!! What do you mean?
Simple! You submit an audio file of you singing Weight of the World, and I'll take every submission and combine it into one beautiful (hopefully) melody.
Alright I get the cut of your jib, but how do I submit?
First off, you gotta get a mic, that's pretty obvious. Second of all, you need to sing the song.
Now, I don't care about how well you can or can't sing. I don't care if your microphone was ten dollars from PetSmart. All I really need you to do is stay on tune. Use THIS VERSION OF THE SONG FOR SINGING ALONG
IMPORTANT UPDATE: YOU CAN SING IN WHATEVER LANGUAGE YOU WANT, JUST BE SURE TO HAVE THE SAME LENGTH.
Don't know the English lyrics? Use THESE LYRICS. Keeping on tune will make my job easier and make the sounds flow much better with each other.
Recording this will usually take a program, of course. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING AUDACITY. Of course, if you have some other recording device, then it's fine, as long as you are able to compress your singing into either an MP3 or a WAV file. Other file types should be inquired on via a Reddit PM.
Finally, to send this to me, you gotta email it to me. Email your submission as a file attachment to this email: eirinkjell123@gmail.com
Also include the name you'd like to be credited by!
This is the only way to submit currently!
Alright, I got you. Anything else?
Submissions will be closing on APRIL 28TH, 2017. That's plenty of time for you to record this song, right? If you have any further questions, ask via a PM on Reddit.
Remember to tell your NieR loving friends about this as well! I want a big, big group, a won

You plant your feet -Anonymous
I just finished listening to it at 2:30 AM, sick with food poisoning feeling reminded of my own fragile mortality, cuddling my dog and listening to podcasts for the sweet relief of distraction. Even before the food poisoning I was in a depressive slump. That song came on and just ruined me. Tears down my face crying into my dog. The kind of thing that makes you ask "what am I doing with my life? WHY AREN'T I SHOUTING LOUD WHILE I STILL CAN". Just totally emotionally unprepared.
