A while ago I did an edit to visually illustrate what Luke might have seen in Kyloβs mind when he looked in his head, thought it might help us understand his reflexive response- I wasnβt fully convinced by the scene by itself. If youβve got a minute to check it out thatβd be great :)

what are some random scenes from movies, that irrespective of the quality of the movie itself~ remain very powerful for you, (more in comments)?
For example, for me, for no particular reason
-
MOVIE: Girl with a pearl earing, with scarlette johansson~ where she raises the concern of washing vermeer's window, as " won't it might change the light"? the wife and grandmother stare at her imperiously as they realize she has an artistic sensibility they hadn't even considered. an amazing moment in a decent movie.
-
TV: Mad men, The carousel scene, don draper explaining to kadak, "it's not a donut, it's a carousel, it takes around and around but shows us where we've been" (wildly paraphrased). An exemplary scene of a great series.

Not as alone as you might think. - Art by Artsyaxolotl - hoping that despite the furry aspect of it that the message and scene itself would resonate here as well as it did in r/furry as it meant a lot to see all the positivity about it.

With so much talk about Kanan and Mikan bullying, it's easy to forget that Sunrise itself bullied Dia once. This is the saddest scene in Love Live, Dia doesn't deserve any bullying.

In that scene from The Matrix where Neo wake up at his computer, it's going through multiple webpages and scrolling through them slowly by itself searching through all articles because he's searching for articles relating to Morpheus. Is there any software out there that does a similar thing?
Basically the title.
I was thinking that it looked like a cool concept for a program; where you search for something and it automatically displays and cycles through results for you with minimal user input allowing for you to read through the pages at a decent pace without having to go back to the search results page when looking for something etc. Was wondering if something like that ever existed or if it was just another one of those weird movie interpretations of how the internet works.

A horror movie should hesitate to call itself that when the majority of scenes involve killings with no real rhyme or reason besides "shock" factor.
I thoroughly enjoy horror movies when they have atmosphere that makes you feel eerie even long after the scene has passed (The Silence of the Lambs, IT, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre). Film is art, so people may enjoy that of a lot of blood n' gore and I say go for it. I feel as though the term "horror" is being stretched a bit thin.

Looking for a scene. Richard wants to celebrate, and Gilfoyle says that since they spend all their time together, the only thing he wants to do is spend time alone.
I only saw this clip on youtube once, and I can't find it.
I resonate with it so much, my job sends groups of us out on long hour assignments and at the end of the 16 hour shift my group wants to go get dinner together. FUCK THAT SHIT.
Thanks!

DAE get annoyed when people express their opinion that a particular movie scene is so moving when, without them realizing it, it is obvious that their feelings are unrelated to the scene itself but instead to the simple yet cloying movie theme music playing in the background?

STOCK UP NOW!!! If history repeats itself... you will want to stock up on Pokeballs prior to the 'Celebrate the Equinox!' event. yw
It's happened to us all in previous events. You know, when you're out of balls but it seems that all you can get from spinning Pokestops is potions and berries. Plan ahead trainers! The ball rate will likely change during the event.

We celebrate the lead-up to New Year's Day, not the day itself.
At least in the US and other Western countries, the real celebration is on the night of December 31st. There are festivities leading up to midnight and right after the ball drops, but nothing really revolves around New Year's Day itself, other than maybe parades. Has anyone noticed that? I wonder if other cultures put so much emphasis on the day before new years.
Edit: I know that people who celebrate the Lunar New Year don't count down to New Year's Day. They just have festivities on the actual day.
