A list of puns related to "The Amber Spyglass"
Holy hell why didn't anyone warn me? This book just absolutely destroyed me. The first two books were enjoyable enough but I never really connected with them in the way I expected to. Then this book happened. It was incredible, what an unbelievable cap to this story. And that ending....that was one of the most emotional, most devastating things I've ever read. Im a mess right now.

The long trailer they aired on the BBC after the first episode showed a priest with a beetle daemon.
Maybe this was obvious but I just realized he must be Father Gomez, which means they are introducing him much earlier in the show.
EDIT: It seems the actor is David Langham, and he was casted as "Father Garret". I might be wrong but I think this character doesn't exist in the books. So I guess it's not Father Gomez, just another character whose daemon is a beetle. Unless they've changed Father Gomez name for some reason.
Lyra had to leave Pan behind on her journey to the Land of the Dead. Genuinely quite upset.
>!There is a quote in Chapter 23: Marzipan. It reads (Mary, in reference to the mulefa βSnakes are important here. The people look after them and try not to hurt themβ I thought it was interesting, because I donβt recall hearing anything about snakes up until this point in relation the mulefaβs world. Mary is known as the serpent, though, and theyβre taking good care of her! Idk if anyone else finds this interesting or if it even means anything. I just wanted to share.!<
>Mrs. Coulter was more like her daughter than she knew. Her answer to this was to spit in Lord Asriel's face.

Welcome to the His Dark Materials chapter discussion series! Here we'll discuss a chapter of the books each day.
Today we'll talk about The Amber Spyglass Chapter 16: The Intention Craft. Mrs. Coulter takes a tourist trip through Asriel's fortress, and ends up making an unexpected getaway.
You can mention future chapters/books in the discussion of this chapter, but please put such mentions in a spoiler tag as indicated in the "How do I..." section of the sidebar.
My friend is able to play [[Sorcerous Spyglass]] and has a couple of ways to blink it. He claims that the ability stacks and each time the card re-enters the battlefield, the previously named card continues to be affected even though itβs a new version/instance of the spyglass. He also says that if the spyglass is destroyed, the affect still remains because it is a once time declaration that will stick around regardless.
This doesnβt seem correct to me because I am under the impression that the spyglass needs to be on the battlefield to hold the effect. Am I incorrect, or is my friend mistaken?
If my friend is correct here, Iβd be really annoyed. The ability to shut down an entire commander/deck without any chance of interaction seems wrong.
Thanks for any rulings you can give me. I tried looking around but I could find an exact answer.
Edit: All solved, thanks!
The title says it all. Inadvertently pressed shift while looking down the spyglass and it zoomed in a lot further than the default zoom. Still not the most useful tool, but I thought it was kinda cool.
I tried the contract - I have the DECHead.exe but when I use it I get all these scrambled characters. Nothing usable. Anyone know of a way to fix this?
Just a quick question for research purposes
There's only one major benefit by developing that:
I've done all tales (five times) already but in my opinion it's still worthy.
Players won't be terrified to face PVP while questing and those who seeks PVP won't feel bad for locking someone's PVE content by stealing an item which as no use for him.
Just make all items which we have to discover to fixed inventory items as soon as we pick them up.
Unless Tall Tales progress griefing was a planned game play design I see no reason for quest items not being developed that way.
If my opponent casts [[Sorcerous Spyglass]], looks at my hand, and chooses [[Greater Gargadon]], does that mean I can no longer sacrifice artifacts, creatures, and/or lands to remove time counters from it?
So we all know the Spyglass is fairly useless (wild understatement for some). You can't really justify taking up a tool slot for it.
Some have mentioned a form of spotting utility for it and I think I have a non-op way to do that. You can "spot" a hunter if you keep your spyglass on him/her for 2 seconds. There would be an interact circle like seen elsewhere in the game. Once spotted it notifies them that they are "Marked for Death", at which point they can be seen in dark sight by your team. They would show up as red mist, similar to dark sight boost, for 3-5 seconds (I prefer 5).
There would have to be some effect around the corners of their screen so they know when the spot has cooled down/is active. A variation could be that anyone could see them in dark sight, might be interesting for solo play? I'm thinking they would only show up till 100 meters either way.
What do you guys think? Can we make the Spyglass great?
Hey guys, am i going able to play sorcerous spyglass copy from ixalan in the new meta? Or the filter will prohibit putting it because of the Rarity symbol? I really like the ixalan ones art.
This card is so awesome! I was playing against an Ooze deck and I named Helm of the Host and shut down his token dreams lol.
I just moved here this week and realized the bus doesn't run after 9:30...i work nights so it seems my only option is to pay a lot for a YC or to walk/bike.
Anyone have any suggestions? Any bus routes that'll get me close enough? I work right downtown.
