A list of puns related to "Tetracyclines"
So got sick immediately after eating a can of peaches. I looked it up and my symptoms are definitely the cold. I took the pill and see the icon adjacent to the sickness icon but how long does it take to heal? Is there something else I should be doing to recover?
Hiya! So, I was on Lymecycline for 5 months and have been off for about a month now. However, I feel my acne is coming back. I spoke to my GP and they prescribed me Tetracycline 250mg. The fact is another antibiotic is quite concerning to me. Has anyone here been to a similar experience? Am I overreacting? Thank you, would really appreciate any response from you :-)x
Are there any effective antibiotic besides doxy and tetra. I ask because I already have really bad stomach and esophagus issues. So , if there are other antibiotics besides these that you know of that would be great. I havenβt taken antibiotics in a few years so I am at the beginning of a new treatment.
I know of Minocycline, methylene blue, and a few others.
Are there any that are specifically known to be better for someone with digestive issues? Thank you.
I was under the impression only your immune system van beat it as shown here https://youtu.be/yz-bmI8pHck but then i saw this post from a veteran reddit dayz God. And please I already know the basics so I don't need disinfect tips https://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/r2abf4/amazing_sickness_guide_created_by_asmondiana_on/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Good evening to all, I recently took some leftover tetracycline I had from the doc from a year ago. Took two capsules yesterday and one today. Each 500mg. The tetracycline expired in August. Exp date 08/21. My question is, should I be concerned? And if so what may I expect? Just wanting to see if I can get some information this late at night.

Hey, Iβm 17 years old currently taking tetracycline in order to reduce acne. I have heard that you shouldnβt consume milk in combination while taking it. Iβm supposed to take 2 pills twice a day. (Breakfast and supper)
Iβm eating milk and cereal for breakfast so this is kinda hard for me to adjust. What side effects are there if you consume milk and tetracycline at the same time?
Havenβt played in a while and like a noob I got cholera any tips on where to find Tetracycline Pills and are they common or am I just fucked?
On the last couple days of my 2nd treatment with tetracycline and the PPI and whatnot. During the earlier days my fingers were wet and when I took some of the pills, the rest of them got wet and are now stuck together. I did the best I could by pulling most out but now I'm near the end and still feel like shit but there are about 10 or so pills left and they are completely stuck together and a bunch of them are already ripped to the point where the powder is just seeping out. I have a bunch of the powder in the container already, is it alright to just consume portions of the powder with water or is the pill the key to it being effective. Need help quickly.
I understand the concept, and implementation of the process to keep mosquitoes from breeding by requiring tc to be present, but I'm confused as to why tetracycline is required instead of something like doxycycline (malaria) or something that just isn't as common. Tetracycline is extremely common, especially in the livestock industry where it's added to water supplies to treat entire populations. Is it something as simple as "this is a gene we know" or because the research started before the widespread use of tc? I'm just trying to understand the choice in compound, because as someone with limited biochem knowledge it feels like we're breeding mosquitoes to search out a compound that will make their immune systems stronger
My doctor just prescribed me Tetracycline for a month, twice daily 250 mg while on 0.1 Micro Gel. After the month is over, we will see how my skin reacted to the antibiotics. Has anyone ever tried this medication before?
Doxycycline and minocycline gave me headaches. Iβve had PD and rosacea for over a year and feeling so down. What other antibiotics have worked for you?
Iβve also tried azithromycin and erythromycin.
Around September 2019 I was prescribed Doxycycline for a respiratory infection that was impacting my asthma symptoms (I now regret taking that drug after learning its serious side effects). I took it for the 2-week period I was prescribed the drug for.
Weeks later in October 2019, I remember experiencing intense head pressure and experienced my first ever migraine aura (here's my post from a year ago) At the time I had no idea what was causing the vertigo or extreme head pressure. This went on for several more weeks until I went to see a Neurologist in December 2019 and had an MRI done. Of course like many others here it came up "clean" (but from what I understand IIH often won't really show on an MRI, and even then a doctor would really have to look for it.) At the time I was clueless and had no idea what IIH was so I never knew to suspect it. Eventually the head pressure mostly subsided but the migraines continued,
Then in Feb 2020 I woke up one morning and noticed the wall had "static" on it. Over the next few weeks I developed more and more symptoms and eventually went to see a Neuro-Ophthalmologist that my Neurologist recommended. I then learned what VSS was from that Neuro-Ophthalmologist, and I've had the disorder since then.
Before all of this I had no other health issues (aside from minor asthma) and rarely went to doctors. I was a perfectly healthy individually in my twenties. I had never heard of VSS until I developed it.
Essentially, I blame the drug "Doxycycline" for resulting in temporary "Idiopathic intracranial hypertension" which later resulted in VSS. Apparently tetracycline drugs are well-known to cause IIH along with vision loss, and from what I've seen IIH can and has caused VSS. To me, this makes the most sense as to what occurred and explains all of the symptoms I experienced leading up to my current predicament.
I encourage others to trace their steps in the months prior to developing VSS. I just wanted to make a post explaining to others how I did so. Needless to say, I probably won't take another prescription drug ever again unless its a life-or-death scenario. Anyone else here have any experience with IIH/Pseudotumor Cerebri?
Hello, I'm considering a big makeover for my tetracycline-stained teeth, and it'll involve about 16 teeth porcelain veneers.
My dentist quotes me roughly $1k per tooth.
Is it reasonable? Since this is a cosmetic procedure, insurance won't cover much. I wonder if I should get a second opinion from another dentist.
Thank you!
This may be a long shot, but I was curious if anyone has had the COVID vaccine with IIH caused by tetracyclines (minocycline, doxycycline, etc.). I am planning to get my shot on Saturday but I am very worried about complications.
Just for reference, I was on minocycline for only two weeks when my ICP shot up to 57 and I had emergency surgery to implant an LP shunt. I have permanent vision loss of about 30% of my eyesight. Because of the severity of my IIH, I am always concerned about new medications or vaccines. Please if anyone has advice I would love to hear your experience!
25F, 1-2 coffees/day on days off 2-4 on shift, non-smoker, rare drinker, pretty good dental health/routine aside from this. On mobile so sorry for formatting/spelling errors
Question (history below): What are some of the best options for this placement and concerns?
History: Around the time I lost my front left tooth I was on Tetracycline. Low and behold, when the adult tooth comes in, itβs noticeably discoloured and misshapen - Iβm talking a 30 or so degree angle, chocolate brown streaking, and generalized yellow discolouration at the tip of the tooth.
Aside from that, everything is pretty straight, good size, and never needed braces. But this front tooth had been a major point of insecurity, people made fun of it, and I avoided smiling with teeth or opening my mouth too much at all cost.
At 13/14 years old I was getting root canal for a back molar (didnβt have dental coverage so it got REALLY bad before we could get it fixed). The dentist pointed it out and asked if I wanted it shaved down so the edge was straight and most the discolouration gone. Obviously, the other (normal) central incisor would be brought down to match. I was ecstatic and agreed without much thought or consulting my parents. Relief of having the most noticeable discolouration passed pretty quickly.
I wasnβt really βbuck toothedβ before, but the width was complimentary to the length (of the non-malformed tooth) and for over 10 years now Iβve just feltβ¦ stubby. Donβt get me wrong itβs better than before, but still a big point of insecurity.
Basically all I hear people talk about/find information on are expensive veneers. But I have concerns with strength (being the central incisors) and cutting caffeine (Iβm a nurse in a pandemic, sorry the coffee has to stay).
So if anyone has recommendations on what other solutions I can look into it would be very appreciated! TIA!
Specifically for treating redness. I get really bad red nose (potentially rosacea but not to sure) and was wondering if tetracycline will treat this?
