A list of puns related to "Temperamentally"
Joan Didion was the lion of contemporary literary lions. She led that cadre of critics and observers, 'New Journalists' who imposed a rigourous literary regimen upon social and political observation, reportage, and made it brilliant.
Gay Talese, Nora Ephron, Tom Wolfe, even Hunter S. Thompson (sort of) bowed at the tiny feet of Joan Didion, whose stride encompassed and eclipsed them all.

Been in therapy for over a decade for chronic, treatment resistant depression and now I have a new therapist is talking about "anxiety" in my sessions. I've been referred to undergo assessment for diagnosis but that appointment is in 3 months.
My therapist said anxiety co-occurs with depression often and I believe her but I just have a hard time believing that I made it to almost 30 without someone mentioning anxiety in a clinical setting.
I was born with a VERY shy and timid personality and that's just how I am. I've pushed myself in my childhood to speak and by the time I was in high school, I was much more functional. I overcame enough of my shyness to be able to be able to get by in daily life.
Over the last few years, I somehow got promoted in my job (even though I didn't want to) and now am in a managerial position where I am required to speak. I've called out sick to avoid meetings, made up excuses why I can't attend work, and when I do attend the Zoom meetings, I am so anxious that I end up coping in ways that hurt me physically every single time. I swear people at work think I'm a stupid person who doesn't know how to speak. I'm scared people are laughing at me in secret and wanting me to get fired.
I want to quit and find a lower level job where I don't manage people and there are no expectations for speaking. However, my therapist said that's called giving into anxiety and limits how i can live my life... So? Can't people be naturally shy and choose jobs that don't involve things that scare them?
There are times when I think it is bad enough to be called "social anxiety" (When I'd rather quit or kill myself rather than talk at work or do anything where people might judge me negatively).
Where's the line between being a person with a timid personality who comes off as very anxious and gets scared easily vs an actual diagnosable disorder? I've ALWAYS been very shy, nervous and scared in general but that's just how I am. lol.
I know the medications we take are commonly prescribed to psychiatric patients as mood stabilizers. For those who have been taking them for a long time (and have found good ones that donβt make you feel crazy), do you ever wonder if theyβve affected your temperament or personality in more subtle ways? Like maybe without the meds you might temperamentally be more emotionally responsive or experience higher highs and lower lows? Maybe even have a greater tendency towards depression? Iβve been on different ones since I was a teenager, so I canβt really say βI used to be X but now Iβm Yβ since no oneβs temperament is really set when theyβre only 16. Or if you started meds when you were an adult but can remember what you were like before the meds, do you think youβve changed?
Overall, if you go to a reputable breeder, youβre more likely to get a healthy, stable dog, but I do think there are breeds that are more healthy/unhealthy and stable, overall, than others. I have a few answers to this, but Iβm more curious to see what others say!
Hi, have a friend who has this issue:
Her PC will refuse to boot sometimes, it will turn on and the fans will spin, but no monitor display, nor lights to keyboard / mouse etc. After restarting a few times, it will eventually turn on and run completely normally up until the next time it restarts, where it may or may not start up properly.
Here's the specs:
Windows 10 64-bit
Intel i5 3570k
MSI Z77A-G43 Motherboard
8GB DDR3 RAM (2x4GB, 1,333MHz)
GTX 970 GPU
Thermaltake V200 case
550W Super-silent PSU (Thermaltake brand, came with case)
The PSU is less than a year old.
What we're tried so far is replacing the BIOS battery with a new one, and uninstalling Nvidia drivers completely and re-installing the latest ones for the GPU.
The situation has deteriorated where before 6/10 boots did not work, now it's nearly every single boot does not work.
Any suggestions guys? Thanks.
Upon further research, this appears to be a problem with this specific motherboard. So I've now ordered a replacement board, which necessitated a replacement CPU, cooler & RAM too.
If they find out the sea is dangerous and they keep dying from Megalodons wouldn't it mean humans basically stop attempting to travel by sea/ocean?
I don't think it stops hominids from reaching as far as Australia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Spreading_homo_sapiens_la.svg
But how would it affect the First contact? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_contact_(anthropology)
Would it mean it First contact is delayed until the industrial age in Europe where ships with iron hulls were capable of being built?
