A list of puns related to "Television Crew"
If you want more info about this, here are several articles and an instagram account posting grievances. Much of this stuff is straight up 19th century robber baron tactics. I'm surprised their haven't been stories of lock doors (yet). Support from unions, a U.S. congressman, celebrities, and average people like you and me.

Other outlets have reported that the vote will take place electronically from October 1-3. They need 75% approval from the locals to authorize striking as an option.

I hope this doesnβt come off as a stupid question but Iβve never been on a set. I only see the finished product. What makes television production so time consuming?
I thought they would have been the exact type of people to watch that show. But their unfamiliarity with space mutiny, death stalker, and future war (classics MST3K episodes in my estimation) surprised me.
"Our viewers would like to know what a regular day here on the countryside looks like. Can you start right from the beginning?" Asks the reporter.
"Oh, yeah sure." starts the shephard, "So first I wake up, but I really don't wanna so I take a sip of my brandy to start off my day. Then I have to go out to release the sheep. I'm still quite sleepy so I take two sips to make me go outside and one more to have energy to open the gate. Out in the field I usually meet my pal and we drink two whole bottles of brandy together and then..."
"Oh I'm sorry." interrupts the reporter, "We can not really air that. Children are watching and we don't want to make a bad impression. How about every time you drink you say you read a book instead?"
"Yeah, that makes sense." says the shephard and starts over: "Well, the first thing in the morning I wake up and read a page of my book. Then I go outside and read two more pages plus one more while opening the gate for the sheep. While out in field I usually meet my buddy and we read two books together. Then we return home while reading page after page and lock the sheep in the barn. Finally at the end of the day we go to town where my friend has a library and we read till the morning."
Edit: I hope this joke makes sense in English, it's way better in my language.
Obviously standing under hot studio lights is miserable, so people need water. But who pays for the water? Is it under a studios taxes? What about the electric to run those hot lights?

Edit 1: It is unclear to me whether King's quote is referring to women casting or women in production roles. I have data regarding production roles below. If anybody has some for women casting that would be awesome.
Edit 2: Super interesting discussions being had. Many being had regarding race as well as gender. I've responded to as much as I'm willing to tonight but will reply to more in the morning. I can confidently say that my view is evolving as I read more comments and hear various perspectives and rebuttals.
At the Golden Globes, Regina King stated "βThe reason why we do this is because we understand that our microphones are big and we are speaking for everyone,β she said. βAnd I just want to say that Iβm going to use my platform right now to say in the next two years, everything that I produce, Iβm making a vow β itβs going to be tough β to make sure that everything that I produce that is 50% women.β
I respect King as an actress and think that she has good intentions in bringing more representation to women in the film industry. That said I think it's entirely unrealistic statistically speaking and based on the mater of supply and demand.
https://womenandhollywood.com/resources/statistics/
Until more women are in the film industry especially roles such as composer, director, and cinematographer then truly 50% could be possible. That said I find it unfortunate and slightly sexist that she would pick someone based on gender instead of ability or best fit for the role/job.
In terms of statistics, in the top 100 films of 2017-2018, women comprised of the following:
4% of directors
15% of writers
3% of cinematographers
18% of producers
18% of executive producers
14% of editors
Regina King has oversimplified getting women on to her future projects and doesn't understand the way supply and demand work in terms of the job market and availability.
I'm open to opposing viewpoints and even willing to admit that maybe I don't have the perspective of it others might have. Change My View.
