A list of puns related to "T.k.road"
Just a random train of thought as I'm making may way through the Survivor catalog.
Most everyone is aware of the concept of a Perfect Game (winning after never receiving a vote at tribal council), which is obviously a huge feat as only 2 winners (JT and Cochran) have ever pulled it off, 3 if you don't count votes canceled by an immunity idol (Jeremy).
I'd like to propose another category of game, which perhaps may never be achieved: an inversion of the Perfect Game, which I would call the Hardest Road. There are 2 criteria:
In order to win by the Hardest Road, a player would need to survive being Matsing'd (or something similar with a tribe swap involved), never win an individual immunity challenge, never play an immunity idol, and be a large enough target/close enough to the bottom that they always get a vote thrown their way, but still at the end come up as Sole Survivor.
I think, though technically possible, it is so incredibly improbable that anyone who could pull it off could be put into GOAT running. As far as I know, Denise is the only one who has even come close to it, as she is the only player to ever even attend every single tribal council.
What do you all think? Do I just have too much time on my hands?
EDIT: Something that I realized as I was researching this idea further is that a perfect game is generally considered to require a unanimous final jury vote, not just a win. There are actually at least a few more winners who made it through the game without ever receiving an elimination vote, but did not receive every vote at FTCβTina and Ethan were the first ones I found starting chronologically, and I'd be willing to bet I'll find a few more. Puts a bit of a wrinkle on how I'm thinking about this.
Hello,
I remember playing other STALKER mods 1 ou 2 years ago without problem. But here, with wine-staging 5.3, on Fedora 31, with NVIDIA drivers 440.64 on a RTX2060 , I can't get the flashlight to work: I press the key for the flashlight, I hear its sound, I see a brief flash but it doesn't light anything after that.
I have tried the rendering modes available to the games: DX8, DX9 , DX10 and DX11 (I have the DXVK 1.5 installed); DX10 and DX11 crash with an error in D3DX11GetImageInfoFromMemory / function CRendeer::texture_load / file ..\xRenderDX10\dx10Texture.cpp for the ui_font_hud_01.dds file.
DX8 and the various DX9 modes work, but I don't have the flashlight...
Anybody has an idea? Thanks!
Anyone, including me, could see the effects of the "Zone" on him -- the tremors, the slurred speech, the alcoholism. Anyone, including me, would know how lucky it is for this to be the worst of it for someone.
"I don't know, dude. No one does. It's multiple sclerosis, or... multiple sclerosis-like" Johnnas said as he handed me some device I looked at skeptically.
"A geiger counter. Aside from the guns this will be your most important tool, likely even more so." He snatched it back, and showed me how to turn it on.
"I could tell you what the 'oh fuck' number is, but after a few days you'll ignore that. Everyone does. I sure as shit did. Let's call it a thousand millisevert, keeping in mind that the old folks that died cleaning up Fukishima were exposed to four-hundred. All I'll tell you is that the more this thing beeps, the sooner you'll find yourself like me. You can drink some vodka or smoke a dart to stave off the immediate effects, but they will catch up to you. Allen, they will catch up to you. Don't fuck around. You hear this thing start screaming, you get the fuck out of the area. Paradoxically," he said, turning it off and handing it to me, "the more it beeps, the more likely you are to be in an anomalous zone, and an artifact... money. But you're not going for artifacts. You wouldn't even have all the tools if you were! You need to remember, Allen, you have to remember: you're not going for money."
"I know man, I know" I reassured John as I put away the last of the kit -- an MRE and some handgun rounds -- he was giving me. "Call it hubris, but I'm pretty sure I can stay on track here."
"Yeah that's --" Johnnas started, and abruptly stopped, choking on the words before they even reached his mouth.
"-- thaaaat's, that'sss wha-whaaat they all say" he finally got out. Surely, I hoped, something like that would pop in to my memory if I ever decided to get greedy.
Johnnas wasn't much older than me -- once you hit thirty, what was a decade, anyway -- but he had seen a lot. I could never help but feel like a kid whenever I thought of people like him or my father, with all their worldly experience and human problems. He wasn't much older than me, sure, but he sure as hell knew way more about the Zone despite all my time spent researching it on the internet. He was also, and I had always hoped not by chance, the only person I knew to still be alive after having gone in even once. We both met each other as bartenders, him hiring me just when I

There's not much to add to the subject line, really. How is it that supporters of legal abortion who don't support LPS are not seeing that the argument that LPS equals legalized child abandonment relies on the right-wing evangelical assumption that personhood begins at conception?
I decided to try out road to the north because a gamebreaking bug (at least for me) discouraged me from continuing. But the problem is i can't run it on dx 11 rendering because it crashes whenever i try to start a new game, i can't run it on dx 10 rendering either, so I am running it on enhanced full dynamic lighting. However the tree textures are visibly off, there are white dots in the foliage that are moving, and it looks especially ugly and nauseating when I'm moving. Do you guys know which settings i have to increase/lower to fix this? I noticed the problem is barely visible on static lighting but the rest of the game is ugly.
