A list of puns related to "Stilwater"
I may not be smart as I thought.
EDIT: Their stadium is called Culex
I think is gonna satisfy you guys tbh. I'm at the point where gat's in the hospital btw er well more specifically I'm at the airport. And yes I'm playing with gotr on.
IMO i really think it should be set in San Diego or in a city heavily inspired by it. It just seems like the perfect place to set a game of SR's budget in, not too big like LA/New York but not tiny like Steelport either especially if Volition are wanting to start afresh and move away from any connections to the last couple games with a reboot. Plus it'd be a nice change of pace to get a coastal city SR game with palm trees and fancy villas/condos/mansions instead of the usual suburban city.
I mean, they should since it's part of the whole Saints Row universe but it would be cool if they mention these places in some capacity

Maybe since the saints don't exist (yet) in this new timeline, there will be references to the Vice Kings taking over Stilwater (a reference to agents of mayhem)
(couple on park bench)
Woman: I've got bad news; I think I'm pregnant.
Man: It's okay, we'll find a flight of stairs.
-
Female college student: (witnessing someone on fire) I'm not sharing my pain killers with you.
-
Drunk female college student: Okay okay, who am I? "Help! I'm a stupid bitch who just got crushed in a car!" (laughs)
-
Male Stilwater police officer: (beating someone on the ground) No, we CAN'T just get along!
-
Male citizen: (driving) It's never too late to betray your family.
-
Female citizen: (sending email on laptop) How could I have ever loved you? You were adopted.
-
Male citizen: (to any female NPC) You remind me of my wife, but without the mustache.
-
On Thin Ice saleswoman: (after you enter the store) Oh, the lower-class. How... fun.
-
Sloppy Seconds cashier: (after you make a purchase) When those come back in style, you'll be ready!
-
Male college student: I think the most traumatic experience in a person's life is finding out you have the same safe-word as your dad.
Sometimes in Stilwater, you end up plowing into pedestrians with your ride. If you've got homies along with you, they'll let you know just how they feel as an unfortunate skateboarder ricochets off your bumper into a steel support column of some elevated train tracks.
Here's a few of my favorites. Got any to add?
-------------------------
Black Female Saint: Careful! You'll dent the hood.
White Male Saint: We really should be keeping score.
Johnny: We gotta' hang out more often.
Hispanic Female Saint: (to the victim) Good luck with your physical therapy!
White Female Saint: You're so sexy when you're being a sociopath.
Legal Lee: If they can't catch us, they can't sue us.
Shaundi: Anger issues?
Laura: Don't worry, this thing has a great safety rating. We're fine.
Tanya: Fuck it, they can call their own ambulance. ('Green with Envy' mission)
White Male Saint: No big loss.
Johnny: Yo, let's back up and hit'em again.
Tera: Sorry, I was putting on my lip gloss. Did I miss something?
π₯ FUZZ Cameraman: They'll walk again... someday.
π₯ Aisha: (fondly) β€οΈ It's just like my first date with Johnny.
π₯ Asian Female Saint: You're not too big on keeping a low profile, huh?
Ive been on the server since this morning but for the last 2-3 hours it has sent me back to main menu every 5-10 minutes
Hi there. About a year ago I played Saints Row 2. Played it deeply, played it with a very big enjoyment. And this enjoyment could never arrive without a great city of Stilwater. After I visited this subreddit now I saw some post which praised Stilwater, so I had an idea: why shouldn't I tell why I love this city, why I think that Stilwater is one of the best cities in the open world games?
The secret is simple: it's very different and this difference is very sharp-edged sometimes. There are many different areas and districts and most of them aren't connected very smoothly. I'd like to categorize it a little, but before I start take these links to a map of areas and clean map of the city. Let's go:
Personally I really like the trailer park district. Although itβs pretty small, I think it was really cool and added character to the city with the trailers and the redneck and biker pedestrians.
I also like the projects or anywhere, where there are hobos laying on the floor or huddled around a fire. Iβm not sure why, I think I just like their aesthetic.
Even before SR3 there were odd and unrealistic elements taking place. Ultor having a private company, gangs getting away with big crimes out in the open, Forgive and forget. why is it that this happens (besides gameplay).
Edit: Private army not company
Characters like Kinzie for instance, she didnβt engage with the Saints until long into their career, but she then became a very relevant character. If the series was rebooted back to SR1-SR2 Stilwater gangster roots, would you be okay with some characters getting retcons to become more involved early on?
For Kinzie specifically, they could easily keep her as an FBI tech-god, and still have her forced out by either Matt Miller or another villain to bring her into the Saints much earlier. Imagine how useful Kinzie wouldβve been back when Shaundi was the tech support.
Just an idea I had. As someone who really wants the series to go back to its roots, I also wouldnβt want to lose characters like Kinzie, Asha, or Oleg due to them being later in the timeline if they decided to reboot.
And I even talk about the first iteration. From my perspective it's big, but not densely build, has reasonable parking opportunities, a fine highway network, a tram, bus and taxi services, districts that feel distinct from each other and a good amount of parks and overall green areas.
Yes, Sunnyvale Gardens is pretty iffy and the police needs more stations and better trained officers, but if it weren't for the high rate of crime, I could get to like the place.
I liked Stilwater personally. Big map, lots to do. Got old quickly but thats just Saints row.
Steelport was alright, I liked the nice and open feel. It got old though and I've lost interest in it.
What do you think?
I'm playing Saint's Row IV: Re-Elected on the Nintendo Switch, and my current main quest is the "King of Stilwater" mission. Unfortunately though every time I start the mission, the game crashes after the first cut scene when the Boss goes through the gateway to leave the simulation while the others are watching and talking back on the ship. After the crash I end up back on the home screen and have to start the game up again.
I've tried restarting the Nintendo Switch, I've tried skipping the cut scene, and I've tried playing in Airplane Mode but none of those suggestions have worked. Is there anything I can do to fix this? As it is I have no way to proceed further in the game.
