A list of puns related to "Steve Breaston"
Only 5 times in NFL history has a team had 3 players each go for 1000 yards, twice since 2000. The 2nd-most recent was Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne/Brandon Stokley in Indy in 2004. At the time, Peyton Manning set a new NFL record for passing TDs with 49. The most recent case was the 2008 Cardinals featuring L Fitz/Anquan Boldin/Steve Breaston.
(BONUS FACT: Edge James was on both of these teams)
Trios with 900 yards are more common, here's the list since 2000: 2014 NE (Gronk, Edelman, LaFell), 2012 NO (Colston, Moore, Graham), 2012 Falcons (White, Jones, Gonzalez), 2012 Cowboys (Bryant, Witten, Austin), 2011 NE (Welker, Gronk, Hernandez) 2002 OAK (Rice, Brown, Garner)
The reasons why this tends to be rare are normally pretty obvious. The main culprits getting in the way of it happening:
The 2008 Cardinals attempted just 34 balls to TEs and their running tandem of Edge James & Tim Hightower was not good.
The 2004 Colts had a very good running game with Edge James (1500+ yards), who also caught the ball plenty (51 catches on 60 targets). They also threw to TEs 88 times for just under 750 yards. The catch? The 4th WR by targets on this team was Aaron Moorehead...with three. THREE TARGETS TO THE WR4.
So that was a lot of expositing about past years, what does this year look like?
Team trios with significant yards/game (62.5 = 1000 yards over 16 games, 56.25 = 900. Italics indicate player missed a game.) Listed the next best receiver by y/g who was under pace.
Ryan Fitzpatrick set an NFL record for 400+ yard games to start the year, it should come as no surprise that this list was going to look silly. Something will give, and it would not be unrealistic to suggest that the first 4 guys drops 20
... keep reading on reddit β‘He's 6-1 175 lbs, 29 years old, coming off a very disappointing season, so the price may not be that high. He was very good 3rd option in Cardinals' passing attack, had one 1000 yard season (2008) and has returning skills.
We need help at WR and I know we need more of a deep-threat-kind of reciver, but I think Breaston may be good addition. What do you think?
As title states, should we sign him?
This guy is good, could easily replace Titus Young.
He probably won't be too expensive of a player too and would complement Broyles pretty well for when Nate retires.
Just starting discussions because I'm at work and bored and it's the offseason
Several people reporting the Breaston has signed a 5 year deal.
ESPN predicts Breaston, but I'm not so sure.
I currently have Anquan Boldin and Roddy White starting this week. Need one of those three guys to be WR3 who should you grab?
Breaston is getting a decent amount of targets. There's a lot of hype about Thomas but I can't help but wonder how Tebow will do against a decent pass defense.
In this trade, the Bucs lose one of their more productive Wide outs from last season. However, the Bucs gain youth, speed, and a much needed return man. Depending on Hilton's progress, he may be able to fight for the slot receiver job. Also coming over in the deal is John Chapman, who is likely to play a backup role this season.
I'm not sure what to do, I just think I might be giving up too much depth at the RB position, here is my team

Also my isn't doing as well as I think it should in a 10 person league at 3-3, should I be worried (as only 4 teams make the playoffs) or is my team pretty good for a ten person league
Both Gronkowski and Thomas are available on the wire. should i make either of these moves?
If you could pick up one of the 2 from the waiver wire which one would it be?
I have Breaston in my lineup right now, but who knows if he's going to do anything this week. Rookie QB, first week back from his knee surgery, etc.
Gettis obviously had a monster game last week - but it was his first and only big game, and Meachem has a very unfavorable matchup against the Saints.
Its probably a crap shoot no matter what I do, but I thought the experts (will flattery get me anywhere?) might have some advice.
I'm strongly favoring Decker, so it's mostly the flex I am concerned with. Thanks for any input.
