A list of puns related to "Sternoclavicular Joint"
I've recently added dips to my routine but after my last workout my right clavicle has been popping in and out near my sternum with some movements e.g. arm circles, scapula pull ups. There is no pain associated with it but I am unsure what I should do about it. I am currently taking time off of exercising.
I believe it was caused by progressing to high reps too quickly, as in the first session I did 4x4, then next time 4x5 and so on up to 4x8. I think my muscles were stronger than the joints used to dip.
EDIT: it pops most significantly when I go from internal to external shoulder rotation
At the start of May I injured my sternoclavicular joint with either dips or bench press. I got an X-ray when it hadn't healed after 3 months and it turned out I anteriorly subluxed the joint. I've been referred to physio, but about 1cm below the joint itself I've been having swelling, sort of in the upper pec area.
Has anyone had any experience with this, or knows what I should do? I feel as though I should reduce the swelling as it may be impeding recovery.
Anyone else get SC joint pain and clicking after starting jump Rope? Did three 45 mins/day sessions back to back then bam! Pain. Gonna cool it to recover but anyone else?
just wanted to post this here, if you guys have costochondritis get your sternoclavicular joints checked out. My clavicles are uneven and unstable which could be pulling on my sternum and causing costo.
Has anyone here dealt with Sternoclavicular Joint pain? It's the end of the collarbone, nearest to the sternum. I was throwing last Thursday and I felt a little twinge with a few holes to play. Didn't think much of it, and finished up. By the time we walked back to the parking lot, it was killing me. Hurts to raise my arm above my head, but it really hurts when I reach across my chest. Headed to the chiropractor today to see if maybe it's out of place. It feels slightly better today, but definitely not good enough to start throwing yet.
Got injured 3 weeks ago with a dislocated collar bone at the sternum, seen 2 ortho surgeons and both want to just leave it and do physio therapy. I'm still not entirely sure why they don't want to put it back in. I expressed that I want to get back to playing but can't get a straight answer of what happens when i hit someone or get hit. So has anyone had this injury or know of someone who did? Did you get back to the pitch?
I have been having a burning pain around my collar bone, with a tender spot in the middle (feels muscular/nerve related). was wondering if this was part of the disease or if it's an injury
Anyone have issues with their sternoclavicular joint/collar bone? (here is a picture of mine: http://imgur.com/a/fQS0j)
Has anyone had success in anything to help with the pain? I have tried ice/heat/OTC meds don't seem to have helped at all. Note: I am not asking for medical advice, simply just wondering if anyone has had success in remedies they have tried. Thank you!!
My SC joint has been subluxing for years now. Itβs actually how I got my rheumatology referral and HEDS diagnosis; I didnβt want to do certain exercises in PT because they made my βcollarbone pop out.β The popping didnβt really cause any pain until last year. The joint feels tight and achy and I just want to squeeze it but thatβs kinda impossible. I try not to raise my arm unless I have to, but I think I may be sleeping on it weird. My last PT tried taping it down with KT tape, but it didnβt keep the joint stable and my skin there was too sensitive. Has anyone else found a way to stabilize the joint/reduce the pain? All of my doctors canβt give me any answers.

It started year ago I thought it was normal, until 8 month ago it started to hurt whenever I rotated my shoulder. I do martial art. I know I have fallen down sometimes when holding a boxing bag and other. Right now I got ultra sound, x ray done. Doc got me to try physiotherapy however in taping process it reacted to my skin and peeled it of when I had to remove it after 4 days. It's getting worse now it hurts whenever I move, can't sleep on injured side. How long does it take to repair? What should I do?
Hi docs, Today I was preparing for some weights training by doing some stretches by spinning it my shoulder around around/moving rotator cuff back and forth, and at the same time as I was doing that with my right arm I had the palm of my left hand against on my collarbone area. As I was spinning my right arm I kept feeling collarbone area popping out and popping back in with each spin/movement of my right arm a certain way. I tried doing the same with my left arm and put the palm of my right hand on my left collarbone region and there wasn't any popping in/out sensation like my right one. I decided to look at in the mirror to see if there was any prominence of any bones etc. and saw that there is some kind of bone that looks like it has been put slightly out of place when compared to my left collarbone region. This part of the collar bone/joint (sternoclavicular joint?) seems to be abnormally popped out and I took some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/o61j5 I am wondering what I should do about it if it is indeed a sternoclavicular dislocation. I have read that it can cause problems if it is pushing against blood vessels (particularly if it is a posterior dislocation) but mine seems to be dislocated in an anterior fashion. There are occasionally sensations of pain in the clavicle region where it seems to have slightly popped out of but they are not bad or severe by any means. Thanks so much for reading and I look forward to hearing about what you think I should do.
Hey all, I'm having surgery rather soon and I was wondering if anyone was familiar on this topic or could shed some light on what I should be expecting to come of this?
Sometimes in the morning I have and intense pain in my right chest that feels like it's coming from the hollow under my collar bone. It hurts to have my shoulder relaxed, to move it about and sometimes even just to hold it still and breathe. It won't go away until I roll my shoulder and am quite forceful on the "down" part of the roll. Something somewhere in my chest slips back to where it's supposed to be and life is good.
Very rarely I'll feel this same pain, but less intense, at other points in the day. At these times no amounts of stretching, twisting or rubbing will relieve the discomfort.
Is this something wrong with the joint, or is it some sort of muscle thing? I am a 22 year-old female, and have a history of tension headaches caused by tight muscles along my spine in the upper back and up my neck. I have not noticed any correlation between time spent slumped over a computer and these chest pains as I am on my feet all day, not sitting at a desk.
Hi all,
Husband just got back his bonescan results and it says thereβs degeneration in his bilateral ac joint and sternoclavicular joint. Is this costo or does anybody know what this means? I know we should wait for the doc to call BUT we are very anxious about the results and just looking for something similar.
Thanks!
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I just saw someone else's post about random pain in random bones and thought I'd see if anybody else experiences this specific type of pain.
I (20F) was diagnosed last summer and I don't think I noticed this before my diagnosis, but I frequently get a very intense pain along my collarbones. It's confused me forever because as far as I know there isn't a joint in my collarbone? But I don't remember it ever happening before and it often seems to be related to shoulder pain from sleeping weirdly or something. It feels like the skin and muscles are stretched super taut along the bones, and moving my arm in a specific way can be super super painful. Anyone else have this?
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
I had a quick question and it might sound really stupid. But I have a ligament problem in my sternoclavicular joint caused from gymnastics in high school I tore the ligaments.
I had prolothearapy for it 2 years ago and the pain and and stabilization of the joint got reasonable better.
not enough to hit the weights again and I was wondering if you think bpc157 and tb500 would work to repair ligaments there.
And if they would I was thinking about getting the sprays and I wasent sure if I spray them on the area of the injury, up my nose, in my mouth or if injectable would work better.
Sorry for the long message any information would be helpful and thanks for always putting out great videos and products ππ
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
