I saw the trailer for SMILF today.... I guess Showtime is just skirting right on past all those allegations against the star/show runner...? Seems kind of strange. Binged season 1 this week and was really drawn in by some of the performances and all it had to say about single parenthood and economic inequality. Even some aspects that were criticized such as the sporadic pacing appealed to me in a Master of None sort of way. However, I do agree that the title (along with the trailers) do a bit of a disservice by setting the wrong expectations for potential viewers.
It got me thinking: What should this show's title be? If you could rename it, what would you go with? Personally, I'm still mulling it over but would like to hear what other viewers think.
